  1. Yeah, and O'Briend did? OMG OMG KARLOVIC IS INTO A FIFTH SET AND THREE HAVE GONE TO TIE BREAKS OMG OMG WHO DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING? ← I haven't seen the O'Brien match. You don't have the right to mock me after i beat you in all clay court tournament predictions there were just 2 of them here, but that doesn't matter By the way. Henman lost the first set 6-3 to Nieminen and is losing 5-4 in the second. Why am i stuck with this game. I want to see the Karlovic one. ←

  3. Ljubicic was out in 3 sets today. I was really surprised by this result. The first time in Wimbledon this year. Most favourites are going through without much trouble both in the ATP and WTA tour. On the men's side Hewitt looked really impressive. Coria did too, which surprised me a bit. On the women's side, Davenport and Kuznetsova barely lose any points, whether it was their serve or their opponent's. Sure this is still the first round, but should give some indication on who's in good form and who isn't just as good. Also, as this board seems to be full of Sharapova lovers, she played today and won without much trouble in 2 sets. And because there are so many brits posting in this thread, So far Rusedski, Sherwood and Murray went through to the second round and Delgado, Mackin, Goodhall and Bogdanovic are out in the first. On the women's side, Baltacha, O'Brien, Borwell, Llewellyn (didn't stand a single chance against Kuznetsova) and Keothavong are all out.
  4. But you're talking like Chritian Fittipaldi had ever done anything remarkable on the F1. He was there for 3 years and finished 5 or 6 out of 16 races in the first season (he didn't even manage to qualify to 6 of them), finished 9 out of 16 in the second (while not qualifying to two), and 8 out of 16 in the last while having a better car. His best position ever on the F1 was a 4th Place in a race that only saw 5 cars ending it. He may have bombed on NASCAR but he bombed aswell on the F1. He was never a great driver to begin with. He got a place through being Emerson's nephew in both championships. To say Schumacher would bomb on Stock Car because Christian Fittipaldi did is just plain dumb.
  5. I'd like to see what Schumacher could do with a stock car. Most of the true open wheel drivers to make the jump bomb totally. Look what happened with Christian Fittipaldi. ←
  6. Well, he did race in the Sportcars World Championship before joining the F1, and he wasn't experienced at all at the time, and still won a race in Mexico. What's your point?
  7. Only one thing. When schumi moved to the German Formula 3 he ended tied for second with Frentzen and behind Wendlinger. He won it only the year after:P All the rest is true, in terms of facts. Only i still think it made no sense from FIA to not allow the replacement of tyres when the drivers safety was in jeopardy. That can't be accepted in my opinion. By the way, i never disagreed Schumi is a talented driver. While i'm not a fan of his, i was actually one of the people to defend the fact that he was a great driver regardless of the car he drove.
  8. Yeah, no one cares.....it just happens to be the #1 car racing league in the world. Why wold you not? He's proven himself to be a winner for years.
  9. I don't think the fans will be compensated. I think they deserve to be, but they won't. Michelin fucked up, the FIA stuck to al of its rules, and there was still a race for people to watch, albeit a race with only six cars, but still a race. I'm sure people say sorry an awful lot, but I don't see how, or why, they would do any more. ←
  10. Only including bands that are at least remotely similar to the bands mentioned... Some are widely known, none are totally unknown, but nevertheless you may use a few... Catch 22 (Old Catch 22 were pretty much the same members), Five Iron Frenzy, I Voted For Kodos, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Suicide Machines, RX Bandits, Reel Big Fish, Mustard Plug, Mad Caddies, Link 80, Less Than Jake, Kemuri, Edna's Goldfish, Buck-O-Nine, Big D & The Kids Table... Thursday, Rival Schools, Sparta, Hot Water Music, Glassjaw, Further Seems Forever, Dead Poetic, At The Drive-In, Q And Not You, Rites Of Spring, Gray Matter, Dag Nasty, Quicksand, Agent Orange, Jawbox, The Nation Of Ulisses, Shudder to Think, Teen Idles, Coheed & Cambria, The Warmers... enough..
  11. As I said, I was overdoing it....it's called hyperbole. EDIT: And Reily, I hate him because of the Damon Hill thing. I also think that there are probably better drivers out there, but he gets by by having the better team behind him. Thats why F1 is shit, because it became less and less about the drivers, and more about the cars, and Ferrari was, until this season, and regulations put in place to stop thier dominance, the best team in F1 by a mile. ←
  12. Did he crash? I can't watch it, I just got home from a weekend at Nottingham and my sister has stole the television to Newcastle :-\ I'm sunburnt Sunburnt in Nottingham - I feel so lame. Everyone at school is being told I was in La Manga ←
  13. When changing the rules may help to guarantee the drivers safety i think it is a situation in which you can change them. But i agree that Michelin shouldn't have screwed up like that.
  14. The only entity to blame for this Incident is the FIA. Michelin could be blamed for some extent for not sending the appropriate tyresets. But the fact is, when they tried to send the new set, FIA just ignored the fact there was no safety for the drivers without them and didn't allow it. The teams, who have Michelin tyres did the right thing, which was take their drivers of the race for their own good.
  15. Haha. Have you heard "Alfaro Vive, Carajo!" or "In/Casino/Out"? If they aren't punk, what are they? ←
  16. So far, i'll just predict Karlovic and Ancic getting a lot further than what people expect. I'll check the draw later and do the rest of my predictions, although now that we aren't on clay anymore, i'll probably start missing a pick now and then.
