  1. Only considering American or British bands otherwise you wouldn't know them, the last was a 4-day summer festival in mid-august. I think the next mainstream band gig i'll go to is only in mid-december and it is Turbonegro and i still have no idea who the supporting act may be. It'll be free to me so it's all good ^_^
  2. What the fuck were you watching? The game was pretty much even, but Rangers scored more. If I were a Porto fan I'd have no complaints about the score, their team played crap and only scored from set-pieces. If Rangers played like Porto did last night, I'd be shitting on them right now. But they didn't, and stuck in and got the deserved win. ←
  3. yay for guessing one result right. since this seems to be now a thread about all talks champions league here are my views on yesterday's games. PSV 1-0 Schalke - evenly matched game, a draw would be more appropriate and in case someone had to win, it should have been Schalke. Milan 3-1 Fenerbahce - Milan were deserving winners but a one-goal difference would be more appropriate (not that it would matter too much in the end). Olympiacos 1-3 Rosenborg - If the result had been the other way around i wouldn't be surprised. Olympiacos had enough chances to trounce Rosenborg for 3 or 4 goals, but missed them all. Excellent goalkeeping performance by Johnsen. I didn't like this result as i'll never like a team that pretty much only sits back and watches the other team play. If Olympiacos had a mediocre defense they wouldn't lose. Unfortunately for them, their defense was even worse than that. Lyon 3-0 Real Madrid - For as much as the result may say otherwise, Madri were the better team during most of the game. The usual troubles in the center of defense and in the anchor back position dictated a heavy loss to an effective team. To be honest though, i already expected Lyon to win so I wasn't that surprised. Artmedia 0-1 Inter - Nothing unexpected in this game except for the fact that Adriano was oddly uninspired missing easy goals after easy goals. The result could have been heavier. Rangers 3-2 Porto - Deserving winners lacked in Matchday 1 so far, and this was no exception. If Porto had won with a 3-1 result or similar it would have been closer to the reality that was the game.
  4. Tuesday: PSV 1-1 Schalke Milan 3-1 Fenerbahçe Lyon 2-1 Real Madrid Olympiakos 5-2 Rosenborg Betis 1-0 Liverpool Chelsea 2-2 Anderlecht Artmedia 3-2 Internazionale Rangers 2-2 Porto Wednesday: Club Brugge 2-4 Juventus Rapid 2-2 Bayern Arsenal 2-0 Thun Sparta 2-2 Ajax Bremen 6-1 Barcelona Udinese 2-1 Panathinaikos Benfica 2-2 Lille Villarreal 1-0 Man. United Yeah! Some of these will never happen but if they do i'll be happy for guessing what noone else did and will have a bigger reason to watch the games. Besides, who wouldn't want to see scores like if we were in 1958
  5. Exactly. With a fully fut squad, I have a first team of maybe 15 players or so, then a couple of fringle players, then my young reserves, I need a bigger first team squad. I do have Ameobi I suppose, but he never scores, and apart from that It's youngsters. I have the same problem at Centre back, where I only really have Bomsong and Taylor. Luckily though, after my next game I play Yeovil in the FA Cup, which is a good chance to rest people, followed by Wigan (who are bottom of the Prem) then it's about time for Shearer to be back, so Owen or Crespo can get a rest. ←
  6. My favourite two are Walk Among Us and Earth A. D. Since you prefer Graves i would say American Psycho even if i don't like it much as i prefer the original Misfits sound. If you liked Famous Monsters you'll like American Psycho aswell.
  7. I was surprised to see after a bunch of classic rock (in general) bands, stuff like Papa Roach, A New Found Glory, Puddle of Mud or Bowling for Soup. Hmm.. As a whole i like the second a lot more than the first but still i'm not a huge fan of it.
  8. After watching half of the Agassi vs Malisse match with sound, i decided i will always turn it off from now on everytime there's a US open match with one American in it (except if there are 2 of them). The crowd didn't shut up one fucking second when it was Malisse's serve, not even in crucial moments such as break and set points. However they were totally silent on Agassi's serves, cheered every Agassi point, even if it wasn't because of Agassi's merits, but because Malisse just entirely missed the shot. eww, just eww.
  9. Datsyuk is a very good player. I wasn't a big fan of him when i first saw him but he grew on me in the past 2 seasons (or 3 not counting the last one obviously). However, he apparently thinks he's better than what he really is. "I think I am worth at least what (Dany) Heatley or (Joe) Thornton got from their deals" Note the bolded part. It's like he's saying he's better than Thornton but he was doing the favour of accepting just how much Thornton won. As for Forsberg, i think he had a good chance of being the best paid player in the league if he was a 82 games a season player, which he isn't. EDIT: btw, regular season starts in exactly 1 month. Seems like forever, but after waiting the whole year, I can wait another month
  10. Call me back when Hewitt wastes his 1293812º match point
  11. GREAT smash by Dent after a GREAT lob from Hewitt
  12. To be fair, if there is any justice in the world, Hewitt will win this one. At least he's playing quality tennis instead of fully relying on his first serve like there was nothing else about the game. EDIT: Ok, Hewitt decided to prove me wrong by playing a terrible serve game with unforced errors on nearly every ball. That still doesn't take away the fact that Dent minus first serve equals very little.
