  1. The final verses of the Descendent's I'm not a loser are kinda unpleasant.
  2. Not really. The whole league was cancelled apparently. Basically everyone was DQ'd including those not involved in the match.
  3. As I said, I'm not saying that's the case. But that's something that happens. In fact when it happens I believe cup stats are saved but not league stats (not sure about this one).
  4. I'm not saying it's the case but there's a long time bug in fm (a bug they never bothered fixing) where sometimes when a player is transferred, his stats from the previous season are not saved. I've had that happen to me several times.
  5. I've had the same doubt previously and apparently you can only do what King Ellis said. The closest you can do is register the player to a national team... not a club team. For him to play in a club team you have to play the master league and then sign him when the negotiation period open as the player will show up there. EDIT: Oh, how do you do it exactly, then?
  6. for my game two of the season i get the rangers again and as i checked the tv schedules next monday i get the Rangers again. :ohwell: Anyway, Rangers vs Devils at the end of the first are 1-1 with the rangers outshooting the Devils 13-1. Brodeur is great this season, from what i read of the first days and now from what i am watching. Seeing the two games i saw from the rangers i can say they're leagues ahead from their last seasons and deserved to be winning this game. Also in the battle of the #1 rookies both Crosby and Ovechkin have had one assist so far tonight, however ovechkin assisted the only caps goal, while Crosby assisted one out of 3. I've heard that stuff mentioned often about the people in washington not knowing Ovechkin. What was it based on?
  7. I just noticed in the NHL.com site that they counted Alfredsson as having a hattrick. They're counting the SO's as regular goals and adding them to the players goal count? I thought SO's were going to work like in Europe. Guess not.
  8. In the end the Rangers won 5-3. Jagr is such an outstanding player. He scored two PP goals in the third to turn the game around and then Hossa scored the last one to kill it. If Jagr plays consistently well for the whole season he may get to challenge for the Art Ross again. 3 points on the first game is a good start, even considering the fact that some players may get back to the 100 mark in points (or maybe not, only time will tell) due to the rule changes. However there's always the possibility that he has another season like the ones he had after leaving the pens playing as a super player in November and February (to remind people he's good enough for the ASG ), and struggling to get a point every two games in the rest of the season. Again, only time will tell. As for Forsberg, i hope he gets better soon. Unlike a lot of european players in the NHL he barely played any hockey for the past year and a half, and missed most of the flyers camp due to injuries. I hope he gets back on his usual standards carrying out the best PPG average in the league but with 20 games less then the rest . Now seriously, I hope he has a great season and I think he will have it. the NHL is back
  9. And in other news Ovechkin is proving who will be the new shining star on the NHL with 2 goals on the Blue Jays. Well, to be honest i can't tell if he really is playing that well cause i'm not watching that game, but scoring twice on your first NHL game can't be bad. As for what I'm watching... the Flyers are up 3-2 vs the Rangers on the end of the 2nd. Sounds about right for what happened so far. Nylander missed a penalty shot which was good cause i don't think the PS should have been awarded in the first place. Also, i can't see the Rangers getting anything of this game unless the Jagr line spends most of the time on the ice. This line isn't even playing great but the remaining lines aren't doing anything at all.
  10. The last FIFA game i got was FIFA 2000 and that was ONLY because of the classic teams. I remember a friend once asking me to play FIFA 2003 because i told him i hated the fact that the FIFA series games were so unrealistic. He told me this (the 2003 one) wasn't like that and i borrowed it for a weekend. While i noticed it had improved, i could only play 2/3 games before getting tired of it and never looked at it again. I don't doubt they are continuing to improve but i think i'll stick with the PES series as i think they're leagues ahead of FIFA.
  11. So, i just found out Datsyuk came back on his decision and signed a 2-year contract with the Wings. When did this happen and how did i miss it?
  12. Yeah, Dan Wheldon won the IRL. He was second last year. And yes, he won the Indy 500 and 5 other races this year. There's still one race to go but he has a 92 point lead i think with a maximum of 53 points per race.
  13. Try Alice Donut, Botch, Casket Lottery, Champs, Coalesce, D.O.A., Godflesh (at least old Godflesh), Grade (It's not really the same but there are people i know that like those bands and like Grade too), His Hero is Gone, Mastodon, Today is The Day, Zao... Note some of these aren't really that similar but to be honest those 4 bands you mentioned are the exact 4 bands that i'm aware of that have that kind of sound. EDIT: also try Old Man Gloom and also if you want ambient/proggy (although it has nothing to do with these bands) Explosions in the sky if you haven't listened to it already
  14. oddly yeah. I still play it. I think i wouldn't play it if i kept the original squads though. I'm in the process of updating it for this season and should finish it soon. Most addictive football game ever in my opinion even if the players had eyes and mouths bigger than their faces I don't know if the version i had was that one or the one before, though.
