  1. You can't just do it with the excuse you didn't mean to. You'll still get a card.
  2. To be fair, he was doing terrible this season. Not a single win under his belt.
  3. He was kinda wrong too, the way I see it. The Pacers weren't shitty. I assumed they were going to suck, to be honest. I was wrong too.

I heard it a while ago. I can't say I'm a big fan. It sounds like a mix between New America (meh) and modern indie (ugh). I'll get the record regardless because it won't all sound like that.
  5. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/978823/Harry-Kane-big-club-Cesc-Fabregas-England-vs-Panama Just leaving this here. 🍿
  6. What a goal! When things go your way...
  7. They did lose 7-0 to Portugal, though. I think both were pretty bad at this level.
  8. Good thing the 2026 World Cup will have 3 more CONCACAF teams. Why stop at Panama's level if we can dig deeper.
  9. While representing stereotypically neutral Switzerland, though.
  10. I have a color blind co-worker that sees red, yellow and green as slightly different shades of the same colour. He has a hard time at work figuring out our graphs since he's only able to tell blue apart from the rest. I guess he's happy with that.
  11. To be fair, a few of those players from Argentina are worse than Dybala, Di Maria, Lo Celso and Banega, who for some reason are all benched.
  12. We can't really compare him to Turkoglu. A lot of people feel he's not that good, because "see what happened to this other european player", not realizing he's one of the very best players in european basketball history at the time of arrival on the NBA. There was only one, imo, that was definitely more dominant at the time of arrival, Sabonis, but he was 29 at the time and already had some knee issues way before reaching the NBA. I still think he had a good, albeit short, career before injuries made him way too slow to compete at that level. The only one I can think of who had an amazing year right before moving across the pond and still went on to fail in the NBA was Jasikevicius, who was also 29 at the time. He was at his peak at the time and failed to adjust to the NBA game. Most players often mentioned as failures weren't that great in Europe either so why should they be great in the NBA? Toni Kukoc was very good in Europe, but far more inconsistent than those 2. He did appear when it was needed the most, though. He was 25 and not going to improve too much either. Unlike these 3, Doncic is 19 and he can still improve loads, none of the young europeans who went on to have very good NBA careers were as good as he is when they arrived (not even Nowitzki or the Gasols). He can fail to adapt. Sure he can, but I think people who are comparing him to other europeans who have failed (or at least kind of) in the NBA really don't know the gap between his talent and those they compare him to. He started playing for one of the top teams in Europe, aged 16, was starting at 17, was its best player at 18 and was the league (best national league in Europe) MVP, and the EuroLeague (best teams in Europe) MVP at 19. Who else did that? Nobody. I still feel he may have problems facing athletic guards and all of that. The NBA has many of those. He'll have to adjust. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, because it won't, but I really feel he has what it takes to be one of the best european players ever by the time his career is over. As for the rest of the draft i wouldn't say there were many lottery pick surprises, but I have to admit I wasn't expecting Porter to fall that much, despite his injury. The Nuggets are entertaining. I hope he gets to play a bit.
  13. I don't understand any of it. I understand it's an attack on Sterling but even if it wasn't, why would having tattoos and not being engaged to your childhood sweetheart make you any worse of a role model? All of it sucks. Well, I guess being polite isn't a bad thing.
  14. Ronaldo has 4 goals already in the race for the golden boot. So far, trailing behind Own Goal by 1.
  15. The thing is they're still miles ahead of everyone else, even with all their problems. Most sports management simulators have it easy because they don't have any competition whatsoever. There aren't a lot of companies developing those games. That's not even the case with Football, where there have been loads and there are still a few around that we barely hear about because of how far ahead FM is, quality and marketing wise. Many of them disappear after a few years. It's a mountain to climb. It feels like FM's dominance won't be threatened for as long as they release new versions of their game. It will be like that, even if all they do is updating teams and stats. Why bother? I know that's what you meant, but I don't think it will change.
  16. Been playing Time Stories lately. We played two of them and already have another expansion waiting in line. So far, it's been fun. Unrelated question about board games based on movies/series: Are those as terrible as people say? I've asked about a few and always got the same response. Is it true they just bank on the fact people are going to buy these games due to the series/movie's popularity and so don't bother developing a good product? Are there any good ones?
  17. This will be forever known as the "Can we celebrate yet?" World cup.
  18. I'd just do the whole 5 rounds of penalty kicks now. Why wait until the knockout stages?
  19. It's a....... WAIT FOR IT penalty kick!
