  1. 0.0030 off pole in the first qualifying. That's somewhat surprising.

Good stuff, I was stunned with 5th and then I look up and see you sitting in second.

One of us is going to win a race this season.

And it's not gonna be me :D

I seem to suffer from Trulli-syndrome. Very good in quali, but I never really get it done during the race.

  2. From those goals I know I would hate to defend against you.

I'm the one letting people ''try'' to be fancy, and then carefully disposses them and build back up. But you seem to have a strong grasp of faking people out off the dribble.

  3. One thing that caught my eye, very minor. But it was the club/punch to the back of Cesaro when he was kneeled.

He didn't drop down completely like getting hit by a cannon, or suddenly pop up to block the punch. He just realistically took the punch.

  4. 0.0030 off pole in the first qualifying. That's somewhat surprising.

I'm 7th and there's less than half a second between me and pole. Crazy ass qualification all-round.

But 3-thousands is a whole different level.

But almost the entire 5-man Band (BAYBEH!) in the top 10, that's a very nice way to start off... Next time Spicer needs to step up and get in there so we can start to completely dominate the series :P

  5. The only thing I personally absolutely hate about AI controlled Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord, it's that they have a ridiculous tendency to buy a metric shit-tonne of East-European and/or South American talents.

I'm not talking about 1-2 either, I'm talking about having seen squads with only 3 homegrown players in there.

Let's see how much Eastern European and South American players real life Ajax have... Oh right, none.

  6. If anyone has Brazil loaded and is searching for a cheap top-notch Assistant Manager. Search for Jair Ventura.

He's 33 at game start, has no qualifications (yet) and he's dirt cheap to get.

Picture of him just after getting his B qualification.

  7. I never change from Balanced. I guess it's because I've had success with it, so I don't see the point trying something different on a system that's working.

    My team looks like this;

    GK DDG

    RB Montoya (S)

    CB Garay (D)

    CB Vertonghen (D)

    LB Shaw or Evra (S)

    DM Carrick (D)

    CM Herrera or Fellaini (Au)

    RAM Mata (S)

    LAM Januzaj (S)

    CAM Rooney (A)

    TM Van Persie (A)

I shift Mata into the centre and play Nani out wide whenever Rooney is injured/needs a rest. I start games on control at 'higher tempo', and have the 'run at defence' and 'retain possession' instructions active almost all the time. If I'm up against a side that I think has the better of me in midfield, I'll start on balanced instead of control, especially if I'm away.

As things stand, notable back-up players are Jones, Nani, Welbeck, Pereira (his stats are progressing nicely so I'm hoping I can bring him into the first team properly in the future), Lodeiro, Hernandez - with Blind and Robben to come into the fold in a month or so.

That's gonna be a devastating team when Robben and Blind arrive.

Just one question, what are you gonna do with Daley Blind? His best position is LB, which is firmly held by Luke Shaw. I assume Carrick is also still gonna be around for a while, so that'd make Daley Blind more of a handyman bench player who can slot in everywhere?

Also, since you have Mata and Januzaj. I assume Januzaj will be benched with Mata going to the left side and Robben taking up shop on his favourite right side?

  8. WWE aired a CM Punk documentary the day he officially stopped being an employee.

Stop acting like for some reason WWE is completely whitewashing CM Punk and hate his guts in every possible way. It's still business, CM Punk is a huge name and they know that among the WWE gamers CM Punk is a huge fucking deal.

Business is business, CM Punk is money even when he's not wrestling for them.

  9. I got WWE 2K14 dirt cheap on PSN and I must've only played it like 5 times. These games never hold my attention for long anymore and just get a bit boring. Hopefully this changes with 2K's first full effort.

    Those screenshots are astounding though.

I'm really wondering how the career will be. The old WWE's had my attention because they had a career mode to play with with storylines around you.

  10. Well, even though the Turkish League is hardly more interesting than the Brazilian League. It makes quite a bit of sense in the marketing scheme.

Turkey is a big market for the FIFA games, so they'll satisfy that market. Brazil on the other hand is still a huge loss, but it's also the only continent where PES is still as big and popular as FIFA is everywhere else.

PES has the Argentinian and Chilean competitions licensed for that sole reason, and seeing how Brazil isn't licensed for FIFA anymore you can probably expect Konami to announce they have the Brazilian License.

  11. So I'm 7 games into my first full season with Athletic, and the start has been very promising indeed.

4 wins, 2 draws (Getafe/Rayo) and 1 loss (Barcelona), and we're sitting quite snugly on the 4th spot of the standings. Scoring has been a high point with 16 goals, but defensively we have been leaky as usual, it's very hard to find top-class Basque defenders. I know, because I literally scouted every single basque in the game world...

Ander Herrera has been top notch behind Llorente, notching 5 goals and 2 assists in all 7 games. But Llorente himself is right behind with 4 goals and 3 assists, as he just pulls apart defenses with his mere presence. Then I have winger Markel Sussaeta who had a hat-trick against Celta. So all in all I cannot complain about the start of this season, it's much much better than last season for sure.

I also signed a lot of free/cheap talent to my team, a lot of players who have been dropped by the big teams as ''failed'' youth players. They're old-ish around 20-24, but I decided to get them and loan them out to good leagues in the hope that maybe they're late bloomers. I got a whopping 33 players out on loan right now, most if not all at good teams in good leagues. I had 1 winger who wanted to leave, but he's 22 and a 4.5* prospect. Good enough for any BBVA team, but I have Sussaeta locked into that spot. So I actually managed to loan him out to Celta (as a valuable player role), who are playing CL football at that.

Also loaned a kid out to L1 Charlton who is tearing up the league. I got Charlton as a feeder in the off-season, so I decided to start feeding them to get them into the championship where they can be a very effective asset in player loaning.

Finally, in the youth intake I have gotten perhaps the best Basque player in years if not ever. I gave him his debut coming off the bench in a 2-0 win against Valencia, short stint but made no mistakes.

As you can see he has phenomenal physical attributes and aside from shit Bravery and finishing he's quite well versed everywhere else. Right now he looks like a poor man's Messi with aerial ability, as long as he keeps developing and improving his skills, he'll be my future star striker for certain. I'm also retraining him to AMC, because I feel he will excell there too... Naturally once Llorente is finished with his current mentee, he will have to mentor Garcia in everything possible, because I think if he gets a good tutoring from Llorente and/or Ibai Gómez, he will become a top top notch player for years to come.

So yeah, that is my current update. Hopefully I will continue on my winning ways in the league, I'm not expecting to beat the likes of Real and Barcelona any time soon, but I feel I can really make a bid for the 4th CL place or the top EL place. The talent is there, they just need to come together and start fucking shit up...

Finally I will leave you the image of my redonkulous loanee list.

PS: And Leo Messi has complete batshit fucking insane as a 31 year old footie god. Scoring 13 goals and making 3 assists in only 7 freaking games. That OP Argentinian sunuvabitch. =)

  12. I want to see JJ get beat just as much as the next guy, but I don't feel DC is all-round as phenomenally gifted as Jon Jones.

I mean he outwrestled Sonnen like he was some kind of amateur, He has submitted the likes of Lyoto and Vitor, he has outfought the likes of Rua, Rashad Evans, Glover Texeira and (not really) Gustafsson.

Not to knock Cormier or anything, but Jon Jones is arguably the most talented MMA fighter in the world today bar none. Cormier will always stand a chance, and the best chance he has is actually standing and trying to cave his face in with his punches... But Jones really doesn't have a weakness other than his toxic arrogance.

Will be an amazing fight though.

  13. I really hope they can attempt to sort out the match engine for FM2015. Since FM2012 its been getting worse and some of the stuff that happens is so frustrating :(

I know the feeling man. The way you concede most goals is borderline infuriating. Only a small fraction are goals you go ''yes, that's all on their offense and not because my defense are playing like used condoms''.

Anyways, I finished the season with Athletic in true heartbreak fashion. I was up against 8th placed Rayo, with 3 points between each other. So a win would give me the 8th place and the last (copa del rey) EL spot.

Two minutes into the game Llorente scores a magnificient goal, and for 91 minutes we where leading 1-0, the EL so so close... Then 90+3 came along and they score from an indirect free kick and tie up the game.

Blam, 11th place instead of 8th. Rayo is going to the Europa League and i'm sitting here on the wrong side of the standings. So So heartbreaking, especially after we trounced #5 and arch-rival Real Sociedad 7-2 the game before.

On the plus side, Llorente was a complete and utter beast and in 21 league games he scored 16 goals, getting him the #3 spot in the (Spaniard) top goal scorer list, leapfrogging Diego Costa. If his goal tally for Juventus earlier this season had counted along, he'd be tied #2 with Lionel Messi.

33 year old, and just a complete goal scoring machine.

Now if I can just shore up the defense, I could get this team back to the top 5 in no time... It's just a shame that all the good basque defenders are at bigger clubs than Athletic, and there aren't many talented youngsters out there.

Which returns me at another (big) gripe. The youth intakes have redonkulous amounts of talented forwards, and even talented goalies... But I hardly, if ever get highly talented defenders. I'm quite literally drowning in talented AMC/ST/AMR's, but I possibly have only 1 defender where you can go ''Yeah, he might make it''.

Not just that, there are also way too many right fielders in the intakes and not enough left fielders. In my first 2 seasons at Feyenoord I had 5(!) talented right backs from my own youth system and the best left back prospect was 2nd division material at best.

    /rant.

  14. I have $500,000 to spend, (due to being - $250,000 for the series) - so what should I spend it on?

Best possible race engineer and driving/mental coach.

Then if you're still making decent amounts, I'd go with a bunch of cheapy(shitty) technicians who can shave some time off of your pit stops.

Or don't go for tech's and try for a PR manager, heard they cause your rating and sponsor cash to go up.
