  1. So, I did a search and didn't find anything recent. So here's a thread to drop awesome videos of stand up that you love and want other's to see. Anything goes from new stuff to old stuff, from well known to barely known. Knock yourself out.

I'll start it off with an amazing stand up routine from Michael Winslow (that guy that makes noises)

  2. Theme Hospital, that shit is like crack

Thanks Rich, now i've gone off and dusted off my copy of that game. There goes the next 2 weeks trying to beat those final levels, when everything explodes around you, and everyone is dying in the hallway because the GP had decided to play a game of pool...

  3. A bit like the re-experience thread, but different... I guess.
Basically, what are some old games that you still love to boot up and play every once in a while. It might be because it's still getting modded, or simply because the original game has held up so well that it's still an awesome experience.

My main pick for me is Jagged Alliance 2, in part because the modding scene is still lively and they've made the game better than it ever was to begin with (And it was a pinnacle game when it came out). It's just a blast to play and damn challenging even on lower levels, there's multiple ways to go through the game and plenty of challenges to give yourself to make for an interesting playthrough.

Another game that I often pick up when I'm with friends is NBA Street V3 on the PS2, it's still a blast to play both on my own and in a group of players. And whilst no-one I know are real basketball buffs, there is always great excitement in the room when we're going for gamebreakers and just doing crazy shit in that game.

Finally me and my friends still love to play C&C Generals: Zero Hour. Such a fine game to play and friendships will end when someone decides to hoard up 20 of those Chinese Mammoth Tanks and just roll over any sort of defenses you might've build up.

  4. So I returned to my Nottingham Forest game after not having played since January...

33 year old Theo Walcott continues to be a clutch scoring machine for the team as I am absolutely trouncing the championship. Also had a huge 107th minute winning goal against Swansea in the League Cup that send us through to the quarter finals

And to think I got him on a free after Arsenal let him go.

  5. Both Olynyk and Smith deserve to be suspended... Olynyk's was horrible and deserves longer than he'll get especially because if it is a separated shoulder, it all but rules Love out for the remainder of the playoffs, was reckless and deliberate... Smith's was just stupidity...

The refs lost control of this series long before this game though... Was just a dirty series the whole way through...

Personally I think Olynyk, Smith, AND Perkins deserve to be suspended for what they did in the game tonight. Olynyk was the worst easily, it was just a goon move and despite his good mentality in the past, he seriously injured another athlete in a situation that can only be interpreted as deliberate.

Smith obviously was absolutely disgusting and revolting in every way, he fully backfisted Crowder in the face and proceeded to injure him as a result (And I'm pretty sure he was knocked out too from that blow), extremely dangerous, cynical, and foolish.

Then what happened earlier with Perkins was also terrible in every way. We're talking about a 14 year veteran marking a 4th year talent and trucking through him, before also giving him a cynical jab at his head afterwards. This is a guy who has been on title teams and title contenders, who does a move that's extremely goonish and unprofessional. On a player that also had nothing to do with earlier altercations, both Smith and Perkins marked a player who had been great at defending their star player, and purely on an arbitrary reasoning decided to punish him for what Olynyk did earlier in the game.

Perkins deserves a suspension just as much as the other two, dude should've known better, should have used his veteran instinct to calm the team down rather than bring the entire game to a boiling point.

Dirty series as a whole, both teams deserve to have players suspended, both teams deserve fines for bringing the sport into discredit, and finally the league need to firmly evaluate the extremely bad officiating throughout the series.

  6. Scott Brooks was fired.

Saw it coming from a mile away. He has been on the hotseat for a few years now and their success has been the definer after each season, now they didn't make the playofsf (not really his fault), and he's sacked.

In part it's a shame because he was part the reason they got so far and got a great group of guys to work together with Russ/Kev/Serge being a great unit, flanked by more good players. But of course the front office has done a lot to make that happen too.

Right now I'm just wondering which coach is on the market that's experienced enough to get them success, and also can work with a reasonably young group of players, including a big attitude guy like Westbrook who'se been a pretty big diva these past two-three years. Right now I can't really imagine anyone on the market that could slot into the team, but i'm sure they can find a good person to replace him.

Also, more interesting is Rajon Rondo proclaiming that he will only resign with Dallas if Carlisle doesn't come back next season... So I guess that has made Dallas' choice extremely easy when it comes to going for Rondo, who has been underperforming, and a tough fit to the high-paced Mavs. His possession heavy style hasn't worked out at all, and his defense additions haven't been enough to really overcome his offensive deficiencies. And I for one am glad to leave, and also sad that Cuban traded for him in the first place because we gave up good depth players in Nelson/Crowder/Wright, especially Nelson and Wright were very good before they got traded.

Rondo has been a massive asshole and a burden on the team, and after his ultimatum I don't see any way for him to return in Dallas next year, and quite frankly I think the team is better off with someone more flexible at the guard position.

Also, since people were wondering if either Ellis/Rondo would be resigned, I really hope this news also means that they can go with Ellis again for the future. He has slumped heavily in the past month, and that's a shame but he can still be a very bad man when he's in form, and I think he's an awesome fit in Dallas, I love his offense and hard work, not to mention he's extremely durable at that... Maybe the slump also means his price-tag has slumped too.

Finally, Chandler Parsons is out for the rest of the series with nagging knee injuries. Mavs were suffering already and probably wouldn't beat Houston at all, but it's a shame to see Parsons go down against Houston because he really deserved a good series against the team.

Basically as a Mav fan, I've switched off for the season. Dirk can still light himself up, and Ellis can always find his mojo back, but it's gonna be hard to beat the Rockets who are firing on all cylinders from head to toe...

I hope that we can strike big on free agency and hopefully grab a good name for the Point Guard position, there are a few names out there that would be interesting. There's also Marc Gasol who the Spurs are courting, but maybe Cuban could hijack that signing, it would cause a bit of a problem with Dirk/Tyson/Amar'e already there, but man Gasol is awesome too.

  7. He died fairly quickly and I needed the Vale on my side. I didn't want to marry the two, but the guy who took over the Westerlands didn't have an heir I could marry her to, and the Iron Islands weren't interested. All about those alliances.

Saying that, Aegon's just decided to come and stick his nose in things, so I might pair the two up in case that actually leads anywhere dangerous. At the moment he's just moping about with The Golden Company doing nothing of use.

And yes, Theon hasn't been castrated. Things went terribly for the Boltons as it happens; Roose died of stress during the war, and Ramsay died in a tournament I threw in celebration.

I... no words can't describe the pure irony in him dying during a celebratory tournament.

  8. I'm not sure how you can accuse someone of holding you up when he then blasts you by half a second a lap when he needs to.

Doesn't that just reinforce Nico's claims? Lewis was tanking his drive to force Nico into either a battle with the Ferrari's, or to get into the dirty air of Hamilton's own car.

Hamilton was taking it easy, granted he's the leader and he can do whatever he wants, but in doing so he was hurting the team effort by causing his teammate to get into trouble and potentially cost the team points.

Hamilton can wave it off as ''I was preserving tyres, protecting the car'', but it's just a dickish tactic to fuck with your teammate. But naturally with those claims you'll rustle the jimmies of British racing fans, because Hamilton is their golden boy against the onslaught of stinky mainland europeans trying to take away their sport.

  9. Can you read Marvel Unlimited comics on laptops?

Have a Kindle, which MU doesn't have an app for.

From what i've found doing a quick google search, MU is available on PC's and Laptops, but I've also read that you can't zoom in, that news was a year ago, so it could have changed by then, but I'm not completely sure.

  10. So I did some catching up, and despite it being the first season and there being a lot of things that could be better, the action is pretty damn exciting and fun all around. The championship is also still pretty open with 5 races left to go, and it seems next year will be even better with the teams being allowed to start to develop technologies around their powertrains.

With the final two races being at Battersea Park in London, I'm wondering if other people were planning on attending the race. I have been thinking about attending because actual Formula 1 is hella expensive, and F-E tickets are on the reasonable side (Berlin's most expensive gold-tickets are 45 euros). Maybe some sort of racing-fan Formula E point-at-the-car kind of affair?

  11. Yeah I loved how he gets to write these huge storylines that span multiple titles, makes everything so much more consistent.

It gets really tough to follow if you're like me and trying to get through 90's issues of X-Men comics. Whilst the two mainstream X-Men titles are easy to find, it's much tougher to find the spinoff titles like X-Force, X-Factor, Gen-X etc.

  12. Some really terrible tweets in there, but to immediately pile it on him as a racist jew-hater is about as sad as it comes.

The problem of social media is apparent, all those stupid things you said when you were drunk, young, or both come to the forefront when you don't need them to.

I agree those tweets were about as stupid as they are, but to immediately say he's an anti-semite who is sexist and give him the ''worse than hitler'' treatment is stupid. He would have never been hired by CC, or even be accepted by noted Jewish Man and person he will be replacing, Jon Stewart.

And you can make anyone look bad if we trawl through his twitter feed and looking for stupid shit that's taken out of context.

  13. Kimi was truly something else during the race. He had a bad start, got a puncture right after passing the pit-lane going into lap 2 so he had to drive an entire lap without a back tyre putting him dead last even behind the mobile chicane of Merhi, and with downforce issues he still overtakes everyone else to finish 4th behind Vettel and the Mercs.

McLaren on the other hand are heartbreakingly suffering, and not even Alonso can get legendary drives out of the underpowered car.

Oh, and Red Bull are being outpaced by their development team who are fielding two rookies including one that can't legally drive yet who set the track alight with aggressive yet intelligent and clean driving to bring home the first points of his career and becoming the youngest point scorer ever. And whilst I'm not jumping onto the ''Max VerSenna" bandwagon, kid had shown all the chops of being able to drive a car despite claims of his age/experience making him a liability.

Not even looking at Ferrari/Merc, this is going to be an interesting season at the least between the rest of the pack.

  14. If skills are the same as EHM07...

    http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4920

Also one skill that is a must for any good player are some of the, physicals like Stamina/Strength, mentals like Anticipation, Bravery, Teamwork, Work Rate, and technicals like Positioning

It makes a huge different to having a team filled with strong hosses of players, they can often outwork finesse teams by grinding the other team down even without fighting.

  15. Max. :D

Equaled his dad's best quali in his second race, got the best quali for a teen ever.

In his second race, in tricky conditions.

I got the feeling he will break that quali record a few more times before the season is up, he has some great pace in that car. Now let's hope the thing doesn't break down tomorrow >_<

  16. The Blue Line has a roster, facepacks, logos and all that good stuff.

I used to play the shit out of EHM07, so this is awesome. I've spent a few hours in it already, worth every penny

Since you played so much EHM07 (like me), how would you compare that game and this game? How much different is it, how many new features are in there? Any features in there that are part of the FM series?

I really would like to get it, but I would like to know how much it has been improved compared to the old game. From the screenshots the interface looks very EHM07'ey, which is nice but also a bit archaic to my tastes.
