  1. Go vote in the Eurovision Song Contest! I'm hosting!

  2. The best ones *almost* never win, which is why I'm sure Susan will beat Helen. I do think "Do the French like their children?" will be an Apprentice moment for years to come, though.
  3. I'll tell you what, Webley-Smith has an amazing shot on her. Some real power behind her.
  4. And a reminder that Eurovision sign-ups are open and that will end, so you're not stuck in an infinite loop.

  5. R.I.P...I'm not familiar with his Springsteen work, to be fair, but the saxophone bit of The Edge of Glory is awesome.
  6. I think Susan and Helen are probably going to end up being the two in the final. Helen's really come to the front recently but Susan has really been strong the past few tasks. Some of what happened in the boardroom felt like bullying really, I do think she's right when she said that they probably figured because she's young that she'll bend easily and be easy to get out. The fact she's survived the boardroom so many times says otherwise.
  7. Placement on Radio One? Don't mind if I do...:D

Nice one - see you at TVC! >_>

  8. I'd like to think that the "Mike" who e-mailed me from CHIKARA is Quackenbush and therefore I shall claim as such from now on.

  9. Four hours to go for the Pop Prom voting. Vote! You know you want to...or have to, in some cases.

  10. 16 hours to vote in the Pop Prom. Step to it, or I'll go on about the Tony's.

  11. I'm fairly certain he isn't under investigation for Lewis now. I doubt McLaren would have asked the stewards about it. Alonso is a little bit more of a dodgy thing.
  12. This has been the best race >_> I've not seen one as good as this in a long time...maybe Bernie was right with his sprinkler idea. ETA: Button's going to get him! ETA.2: FUCK THE TIME LIMIT!
  13. What can last longer, the Canadian Grand Prix or Le Mans...
  14. That's the rain not stopping for 25 minutes, at least. Another 10 minutes then for the safety car restart warning, but they're implying that they're going to keep on waiting until they can go racing. Which is brave, I suppose, but I'm sure they reckoned that the storm was going to go on from 2pm-6pm. In Malaysia in 2009, it was because it was too late in the day.
  15. Plus I'm fairly certain that the Pirelli tyres throw up a lot more spray. One would assume that the fact they burn up the rubber quicker too, there is substantially less grip than there is normally.
  16. di Resta probably makes the best point in terms of visibility; if they couldn't see then they really couldn't expect them to start a race like that. You've got precedent in terms of Adelaide, a very similar circuit, and the grand prix that they had to red flag there. ETA: As it stands, this is the best ever result for a Japanese driver.
  17. Yeah, but the water was appalling down there, especially in that rain. You couldn't actually see. For now, let's just hope that the race gets called off at this point and Kobayashi gets on the podium
  18. They probably thought that they'd clear the safety car quicker than this and manage to make up some time before the rain.
  19. I don't really think that Button and Lewis was Hamilton's fault, to be honest.
  20. Ugh. Pointless safety car start, thankfully it's in this lap but even so, they didn't need to do that.
  21. Reportedly, it's Sauber, Toro Rosso, Williams, Virgin and Hispania that don't have the technology. Essentially, it's really bad news for Renault and Force India, because that throws them right in to the clutches of Sauber and to a lesser extent Williams. Especially Renault since they reckon that it could give them up to a second more a lap, which would really cripple them if the ban comes in to play.
  22. Some very grey clouds but no rain at the moment as they build up to qualifying...will definitely be interesting to see who comes out on top though. It looked like Ferrari and Rosberg definitely had the advantage going in to qualfiying right up until Vettel decided to smash them to pieces at the end of FP3; surprisingly, McLaren don't seem to quite be on the pace. Force India seem to have a good package though as do Renault, so they look like they're going to be fighting between themselves to get in to Q3. Shame for dlR that he's not going to really get a chance in the Sauber on a "good" weekend, since the car doesn't seem to be suited to this track at all. Whether they've not brought many updates or they're just not good, I'm not sure, but I seem to recall they had a bad weekend here last year too. I'd also forgotten just how much I love this racetrack. I think it's up there with Albert Park and Interlagos as one of my favourites, actually.
  23. Holy fuck, massive crash at Le Mans :/

      Hope he's ok, damn.

  24. Murray has just destroyed Roddick in this match. Dunno what's up with Roddick right now but he's not looked good at all really. ETA: A note on Ward; at the moment, he's on 90 points for getting in to the semi final, which would put him up around 176th in the world I believe. If he beats Tsonga but loses in the final, he'll be knocking on the door of the top 150...if he wins the tournament, then he'll be in the top 110-120 bracket. One way or another he gets to his highest ever ranking. It might also mean he starts qualifying for more ATP 250 series or at least a shot at qualifying for them, which is what he really needs if he wants to up his game and start getting better rankings.
