I think the problem was that it just didn;'t have any pomp and circumstance about it. The mid-season finale felt like a much bigger occasion at the end than this did, because...well, nothing really happened at the end of this. The only thing that really happened of any real relevance is the fact that Madame whatsherface is dead. We're no closer to really knowing the whole deal with The Silence. Amy, Rory and River clearly aren't finished with the Doctor. I'm not saying it needed huge actions scenes and loads of special effects like an RTD finale, but it just felt like any other episode in most parts. It probably should have been a two-part or slightly extended episode and they could have explained things a lot better.

Well that was underwhelming.

So, yeah. Last week was pretty dire looking back on it, but this week was so much better. It's like they're actually characters starting to develop personality more. Even more so, it's like they're just ignoring most of season 2 happened and continuing on with the storylines we should have had after season 1.

Great. Now I have Ghasts, Endermen and the Blaze to be "oh jesus not one of them!" of.

Yeah, the blue spiders are hideous. Just never ending amounts of them. Plus, as cool as they are, the mineshafts aren't worth the amount of monsters you have to go through to get relatively useless items.

I'm just going to repeat what a lot of people have said in here: keep it simple. EWR 4.0 wasn't a great leap forward from EWR 3.0; tweak a few things here and there, but base it around the successful model that already is there. Obviously don't copy EWR bit for bit, but we've had this game for what, about 7-8 years, it's fairly obvious how it works. And for the people who are saying "TEW 2005 is the upgrade to EWR", it really, really isn't. TEW by its nature is a more complicated game than EWR. Having to work out how to time your show, work out stamina, mic skills etc. from matches and interviews makes it more complicated by that nature alone. EWR isn't an upgrade of EWD after all, it's a whole different game. Also, ignore the people who are saying "yeah, this will never happen". At the end of the day, you're actually trying this and that screenshot at least shows it's better than that god awful thing that kid made in Scratch. Yes, it's right to be hesitant about it given past history, but raining on the parade before it's even got going isn't going to help anything.
