  1. Holy shit I forgot about Discworld/Discworld 2.
  2. Estonia didn't choose Winny Puhh in the end. Well, they nearly did, but the jury that had a 50% say in the voting mostly torpedoed those chances. Belarus, meanwhile, have changed their entry from a pretty good one to a possible winner:
  3. And in today's WTF news, Honda are coming back in 2015, albeit only as an engine supplier. And McLaren are dumping Mercedes for them.
  4. Which all seems very odd given how close Marussia were getting to McLaren last year.
  5. Yup, Sutil has just been confirmed as the second Force India driver. Saying that, Marussia are apparently going to get rid of Luiz Razia because his sponsors haven't paid their money. Rumour is that Kovalainen is in line to take the spot.
  6. Reminder to people in it, Semi Final Two of Eurovision closes soon so get your votes in. Or else!

  7. I'd challenge that Goldfinger's the best ever, because I think that Live and Let Die is marginally better.
  8. Yeah, Skyfall wasn't as great as say, her performance of Someone Like You at the Brit's. I'd say in terms of the diva-off last night, Bassey > Streisand > Adele. And you have no idea how happy it makes me that there's a show where Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand and Adele all performed.
  9. Ugh. So, it all started to leak out about the UK entrant today. "We will confirm this: as rumoured it is a female solo artist. But it’s not who you think it is. In fact, we’d wager that (although you will know the artist) you’d never guess in a million years. But once you get over the shock, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. We haven’t heard the song, but we’ve spoken to someone who has. Two words: power ballad." And then people have apparently worked out from that and some other information...that it's Bonnie Tyler. Ugh. She has a new album out at the start of March and there is a song that's under 3 minutes on it, which would tie it all together.
  10. Bernie, probably seeing the dollar signs in his eyes again, is trying to get a race in Mexico in 2014. Shades of "hey, this Alonso rookie's pretty good, let's take advantage of that!"
  11. Sylveon being based on a "bond level" has to be BS simply because it means you'd never get Espeon or Umbreon. EDIT: In lighter news, Meloetta to be distributed in Game in the UK from March 22nd-April 19th.
  12. Michu is telling Laudrup to stay at Swansea. I hope they both do, because it's abundantly clear they both love it there and are thriving. But I don't think anyone would begrudge Laudrup moving to Madrid if that job was offered to him, right?
  13. HEY YOU GUYZ. Eurovision 7, first semi, up now. Go vote!

Man, the timing of this happening has been the worst. I need to catch up ASAP.

  14. Obviously it's hard to know what programs they were running etc, but I wonder if Sauber are slightly worried that Hulkenburg beat Gutuerrez's best time by about 3 seconds today.
  15. The fact this stream is so high quality is making this guy incredibly creepy looking.
  16. What the fuck. That was horrible. Uncomfortably viewing throughout and it gripped me the entire time. Argh.
  17. Well, statistically, since the start of the 10-11 FA Cup season: United have faced Premier League opposition 80% of the time (10 matches) (of those 10 matches, two were against City, two were against Liverpool and one was Arsenal) Man City have faced Premier League opposition 50% of the time (10 matches) Chelsea have faced Premier League opposition 45% of the time (11 matches) Arsenal have faced Premier League opposition 40% of the time (10 matches) Which would seem to stack up to say that United get tougher draws, I guess.
  18. F1 Show was good, even if Chilton was a non-entity and entirely uncharismatic. Brundle made a very good point that Ricciardo and Vergne didn't show they were better than Alguesuari and Buemi last season. I do hope that Jaime comes back soon; him and Vergne would probably be a good duo.
  19. No Angels remains one of the most diabolical things at Eurovision in a while. But Cascada - well, Natalie - proved she can sing live last night and she can sing live very well too.
  20. Presuming you mean Stefan Raab, he was involved enough in the show still (Brainpool produced it, hence all the graphics were actually the Eurovision graphics from 2011 / 2012 with a new lick of paint). But I wouldn't say he brought us some of the best German songs. For every Satellite, he was responsible for Standing Still, Wadde Hadde Dudde Da and Guildo Hat Euch Lieb
  21. Glorious will do very well. I'd say it's near guaranteed the UK and Ireland's 12 points. It's not that similar to Euphoria, either, and even if it were, Cascada were doing this type of music well before Loreen came along. Contenders at the moment are Norway and Denmark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfUR99tr4i0 EDIT: British rumours, for those interested, are Diana Vickers, Amelia Lily, Shona McGarty (from Eastenders), Kimberley Walsh and Geri Haliwell. Apparently people in the know have heard that it's a female who would be loved by the gay audience, so that doesn't particularly narrow it down from any other British female singer. Then again, we were meant to have Pixie Lott last year until the head of the BBC delegation vetoed it and we ended up with Humperdinck instead.
  22. Sutil has had a seat fitting at Force India and might be part of the Barcelona test.
