  7. In fairness, Lewis went through most of those ranks because A: He was too young for F1 B: McLaren were supervising him through them. He always had the McLaren drive for some point in his career. Furthermore, I don't really think it's fair to compare him with Massa or Kimi, since they were both "fuck it, let's randomly pick someone and hope" picks by Peter Sauber. Kimi got the McLaren drive thanks to the fact that he drove extremely well in a car that, arguably, wasn't even in the top half of the grid in terms of performance, but managed to help give Sauber 4th place in the Constructors thanks to the 4th places he nabbed in Canada and Austria. Alonso joined F1 in 2001, yes, but that was in a Minardi that was woeful - but then he got the Renault test driver job, and did well enough in 2003 (especially with the Hungary win) to secure his ride. Button impressed enough to get the Williams ride, but then had to pay his dues with that AWFUL Benneton car before he started entering the Williams/BAR/Honda war. Michael Schumacher, meanwhile, is Michael Schumacher. So, yes, Lewis did have to work to get in to F1, but so did a lot of others. If you want to talk about people having to pay their dues, then look at Heidfeld.
  8. In fairness, it was Buemi who commited the "fail" there, since he essentially forgot to brake and hit Piquet. He couldn't do anything about it. Nakajima, on the other hand... Button running to the podium was awesome.
  9. And I've always been mostly indifferent towards Lewis. I just really dislike him now for the lying scandal.
  10. The sight of Kovalainen being first is something I'm not used to... But the top 4 being seperated by 0.03 seconds is ridiculous. Sooooo close.
  11. Bwahaha, Lewis fucks it up. And everyone was going "Hamilton could be on pole here!"...not today!

Please, please, please tell me that people watched this over in America? I watched it earlier today, and I have fallen in love with this show. And I hate the fact that FOX is holding it off until like, September, before they show it again. It's like some kind of torture. I've got their version of "Don't Stop Believing" on repeat, and it has been for like, 30 minutes so far. It's just so, so, so gooooood. And Jane Lynch is awesome. As always.
  14. ...WHAT!? I mean...WHAT!? In a way, I'm not surprised, because Kris hasn't been in the Bottom Two (if I recall), whereas Adam was, and only recently. I'm still kind of shocked that Lambert lost, but Kris is still a very good singer. And the fact he's rather good looking doesn't harm things...
  15. Alexander is 3rd in the iTunes chart ATM, and he appears to be rising everyday.
  16. The more I listen to it, the more I...like...the Ukrainian girl. I keep on finding myself singing "I'm your anti-crisis girl" today...
  17. That was the perfect Eurovision Song Contest, and the best I think in many, many years - probably since Katrina won it, but that's bias. Norway winning was totally desrved, because it was such an awesome song, and everyone who says otherwise can FIAD. Yes, there was still bloc voting, but nowhere near as much. The UK getting 5th (and having 4th taken in the last two votes) was brilliant, and Jade deserved it. That top five was probably the best top five ever, because I legitimately think that any of those five could have won. The West, I believe, took about six of the top 10 spots, which helps the fight against the Eastern bloc. I feel slightly bad for the Israeli entry, which was also one of my faves but didn't get much recognition. And HA! for cocky Sakis getting fucked over in the end. Oh, and the weird-ass French woman did surprisingly well, but then again, Graham did point out that she's kind of massive in parts of Europe, so it's more understandable. Side-note: this is the first time Ukraine haven't finished second since 2006, and the first time they've been out of the top 10 since their disaster in 2005. On Graham, I thought he was much, much more entertaining than Terry when it came to the actual voting part - Terry always seemed like he wanted to fall asleep (albeit maybe that was helped by the fact that our performance made you want to fall asleep) at that point, and Graham actually seemed engaged. So <3 for Eurovision, and the fact that it really was a MUSIC competition this year.
  18. Turkey, Norway or UK to win. Best overall Eurovision for a loooooong time.
  19. Hmmm...this is a bit too close to call for me. There are a fair few I could stomach winning...
  20. Did she HIT the violinist?
  21. Norway - Turkey - Azerbaijan - Ukraine so far. This one isn't too bad, but the tune is too weak, I think. Jade's up next.
  22. Oh, Ukrainian Britney's here.
  23. 1 - Turkey 2 - Azerbaijan 3 - Armenia 4 - Portugal 5 - Malta 6 - Denmark 7 - Iceland 8 - Israel 9 - Albania (green gimp + catchy song = good) 10 - Estonia 11 - Sweden 11 - Moldova 12 - Greece 13 - Russia 14 - Germany 15 - France 16 - Bosnia 17 - Lithuania 18 - Croatia ALEXANDER IS COMING!!!!!!
  24. Oh yay, Turkish Shakira is here! Big contender, I feel.
