  1. Kubica topped the timesheets for the combined test sessions today, ahead of Sutil's old Force India. Looks pretty promising for Renault, then. The Mercedes looks awfully unreliable and slow when it is running fine though...
  2. Voting is now open for Week Two of Fury Road!

  3. about 11 hours left to vote for this week's Pop Prom shows, people.

  4. Li Na hating on her husband has become my favourite side-plot of the entire tournament. She was yelling at him virtually the entire quarter final match. Also, comparing Wozniacki against Serena in terms of matches isn't really *that* fair, considering Serena and Venus tend to not be bothered half the time.
  5. I dunno. I think a lot of people want Wozniacki to succeed because she's a really sweet girl and she can actually play some damn good tennis when she wants. Safina was one of the least charismatic people to ever play tennis and she was pretty shocking. She only stayed number one for so long because everyone else kept fucking up and Venus & Serena weren't playing enough at the time. Wozniacki will win a major (she's only 20, after all), but I'll agree that she has a very good shot here. Li Na is playing incredibly though so you can't count her out. Murray's also a bit different because he's sort of coming in with the least amount of pressure he's had in a long time. Being bumped down to 5th seed might have fired him up a bit, although chances of him overtaking Soderling are slim given that this is the best Soderling's ever done in the Australian Open. He's got a good shot against Ferrer but he needs to hope against hope that Djoko beats Federer, because he has a better shot then at winning the title.
  6. Henin retiring doesn't really surprise me, to be honest, but I'd argue it's not just the elbow injury. Clijsters has far, far outperformed her since they returned and Henin has pretty much wallowed, which for someone like Henin would be a tough pill to swallow, I reckon.
  7. Mitchell seems oddly nervous during the interviews, but I guess that's going to be something he'll just take a bit of time getting used to. The nervous cough and the constant full names being the main example of that. Brooker is awesome though; Carr's alright and Lauren Laverne was always going to be the weak point. I'll still watch it next week though, it's been quite good.
  8. They're now portrayed more as the massive crime outfit they were in the games over the way they have been in the anime. They're not fighting Ash anymore particularly and aren't going for Pikachu, instead they have their own storyline where they're more or less spies recovering data for some grand plan Giovanni has. 14 episodes in and James doesn't even have a Pokemon yet.
  9. I know it's not really in keeping with the type of anime in this thread, but I'm gonna come out and say this: Pokemon Best Wishes is the best Pokemon series I've seen since the Orange League. I might be a little biased though in this since they've actually made Team Rocket in to a legitimate threat for the first time since the very first series and there's an actual storyline running through the series. Plus, the theme song is awesome. So, yeah, very impressed with it, even if it has fallen in to some of the pitfalls of old series (Ash's captures, for example). If they really were going for a "reboot" idea with it then this is the perfect way to do so.
  10. I ended up running across a fair few more reeds. Took me about an hour to finally find the world's smallest desert biome though and the cacti. Didn't help that I was going in the wrong direction to where I thought the cacti were, of course. I managed to find three dungeons on the way though which was quite handy.
  11. Radwanska's racquet breaking when she tried to return a serve from Date Krumm was awesome. Just a shame she got a new one out and won the match with it >_<
  12. Ah, yes. I always just assumed that was some kind of formatting notepad document and it didn't mean anything. Also, fuck off: Cactus: 0 Pumpkin: 19 Clay: 71 Reed: 3 Gold Ore: 15336 Iron Ore: 149200 Coal Ore: 323965 Diamond Ore: 6341 NO CACTI!? 3 REEDS!? WHAT THE FUCK, MINECRAFT!?
  13. ...where the hell is the setting on Cartograph to find all that stuff?
  14. Yay Colfer that's the big thing I want to say about all of this. Especially because it gave us the frankly amazing shot of Lea Michele faux-crying to get on camera. Gotta love the attention whore diva.
  15. I'd say if anything, Black Swan is going to be the one that's the award show darling. They loved it in Venice and the Globes were very kind to The Wrestler, if I recall, so Aronofsky has history on his side. The Kids Are All Right *has* to win, although I think I'd prefer Moore to win it over Benning. Somehow, unfortunately, I could see Hathaway managing to win the award too which would be a travesty, and I love Anne Hathaway. I'd also reckon that Glee might just sneak the best Comedy/Musical based on Season One: even though a portion of Season Two has been fairly bleh, would I be right in saying that they're technically voting on the second half of Season One? Jane Lynch should win it, especially since Sofia Vergara is pretty much on the Glee train herself now thanks to Funny or Die. I'm just hoping that they give the win to Chris Colfer, to be honest, but Cameron is amazing so it'd hurt not to see him win.
  16. Actually, the funniest thing I think from what Montazemelo was saying was that Red Bull didn't respect Ferrari because they dared to suggest that Vettel was happy where he was and he didn't need to go to Ferrari.
  17. I fell down perhaps the biggest hole I've ever encountered earlier, but managed to just fall in to a waterfall and saved myself somehow. I did get a bit worried, although at least I knew where it was since it was just around the corner from my ever increasingly annoying "home where you dig through two rows of stone then realise you're in another cave you've been in to before". At least it has a swimming pool now.
  18. I love and hate this current world so much. There are caves everywhere, but now one of my routes in to the awesome caves I found has run in to the extension for my house. Which sucks since I want a room for my wool collection, so now I'm going to have to swap sides and my staircase too Also, I swear I had the quietest run ever in the Nether earlier. I think I ran in to a total of like, 4 Ghasts and a fair few Pigmen. It was just weirdly easy and I got a ton of Glowstone
  19. I think I've found the world that I've fallen in love with. This place has got everything, including the most random ass lava falls and a surprising lack of creepers.
  20. I may have swamped "Recent Topics Added"...oops.

    1. Meacon Keaton

      Meacon Keaton

May as well add one more for the clean sweep.

    2. LL!

      LL!

Hmm.. What a gay thing to do.

Next you'll be going for the 'latest post in each forum' record.

  21. Hispania are whining and bitching again, saying they did pay their FOTA money and they left voluntarily. Or, you know, they didn't and Kolles is an idiot.
  22. Squids are a passive mob and drop ink for wool dye.
  23. Yeah, the less Legard the better. Meanwhile, HRT is sounding more and more like a bad case of Arrows in their final year. They're now saying that Chandhok didn't bring in sponsorship money he said he would and that he was never in the frame for a 2011 spot, so someone's telling lies. I'm more likely to believe Chandhok, to be honest.
