ColonelCharisma

Someone invite me.
-
I'm ColonelCharisma.
How does one find out if any cities are buying any of their resources? And how does one gift resources? I can't figure that out.
-
Is it improved enough over The Show 12 to be worth buying?
-
Do we have an EWB region set up yet?
-
50hz refresh rate is kind of low isn't it? My LED is 120.
-
I have an Insignia LED and it is wonderful. My PS3 looks great on it, it uses very little power, and it weighs almost nothing for how big it is.
-
Plasma is shit. They're heavy, burn in easily, and the screens glare way too much. Go LED.
-
It also doesn't hurt to max out your steal stat. Mine is in the 90s and I average 3-5 per game.

Nothing will ever top Gangsters: Organized Crime in that theme.
This. I miss that game.
I just loaded it up after I posted that, but it's been so long since I've played it I forgot what I was doing in the game I had saved.

There are some games that I've intentionally played on easy just to get through the story, so yeah, I can see the reasoning.

I'm playing as the Jaguars. Both the QBs I started with suck, so I drafted a rookie and I've been using him as a starter. And he's thrown 15 or 16 in the first 6 games. I've lost a couple games at least just from interceptions, and it gets particularly bad in the red zone. I can't tell you how many drives I've blown from throwing an interception in the end zone. And I can't tell if it's me doing something wrong or the QB being shitty. His overall is 76.
-
It's not normal to throw 3-4 interceptions per game, is it? >_>
-
I simmed most of that playoff game. Gonna start fresh with the new season. How does the draft work online?
-
I'll take the Titans.
-
Oh. I was going off the list on page 1. Who is available?Panthers are taken, that's TCO. And my bad, A-Dub, i forgot to send the invite. I'll send it when i get back on. -
I'll be sending you a friend request tomorrow, DMN. I think my PSN name is ColonelCharisma. And I'll go local and play as the Panthers, I suppose.
-
Can I get in on this too?
-
Is there a secret to avoiding throwing interceptions? I throw 3 or 4 per game, and it's cost me the last two games.

It's barely possible to PLAY steam games offline. I doubt they let you update them offline.

I find Spain tough. Declaring war on the Muslims too early can just destroy you. Ireland is too fun to start with.
Whenever I start in Spain, I lose the inevitable civil war against the other 2 brothers.

Bill me later is a thing? It's probably a good thing I don't know about that.
It's a thing, but I think you have to have a pretty good credit rating to use it, which is what's always stopped me. >_>

I never played Realism Invctus, but it looks... complicated.
RI is, in my opinion, not only the best Civ4 mod out there, but one of the best mods for any game I've played. Although the new features may seem overwhelming at first, there's not all that much of the core mechanics that've changed. There's just more stuff.
Tech trading is gone. Now Civs with open borders get bonuses when researching techs the other civ already has. Much more realistic. I highly doubt Romans ever approached the Egyptians and said "you there, teach me how to build roads and I'll give you a bunch of gold." But tech 'bleed'? Much better.
Each Civ now has a whole host of unique units. The Vikings (who I most recently played) have Nordic versions of most of the pre-classical units (which they share with the Germans), then move on to the stereotypical Berserkers, then through the gunpowder reforms of Gustav I, finally moving on to Saab-designed airplanes. The Aztecs have full-on Jaguar and Eagle Warriors, then actually start to use some Mexican units and Zapata rebels as their Geurilla units (IIRC). Each Civ is now actually different in more ways than just colour, and ruler and city names. Fighting the Arabs in a desert is a bad idea. The Vikings get amphibious bonuses.
Plus, there's a full world map that has dozens of Civ5-style city-states (non-playable civs) to interact with. Even the Portuguese. And Belgians, I believe. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the World Map, as my computer is not beefy enough to handle it, and always crashes. Maybe one day... sigh.
Short version: Realism Invictus is the shit. Try it. Love it.
Are they making a Civ 5 version of it? I'm so used to 5 I don't really want to go back to 4.
