  1. "The American Communist" Ivan Nikolai Sullivan, whose gimmick is that he saw Red Dawn on TV once, thought it was real, and consequently surrendered to the Communists and pledged to fight America in the Soviet Union's honor (not realizing of course that there is no Soviet Union anymore)

That's the greatest thing I've ever heard.

  2. Forgot my password and the only guy who knows it is my brother, who created the account for me. He used his e-mail too, so I have to wait until he gets back from his residential trip to play again.

Also, my girlfriend is officially freaking awesome. She was awesome anyway, but I found out today that she plays Minecraft too! biggrin.gif She's also a huge fan of COD, L4D and skateboarding.

You understand that your right hand isn't actually a female right?

It's still real to him, damnit!

  3. I finished a war with Russia fairly quickly. Conquered two of their cities, which I turned into puppets, and turned on a third. They sued for peace, offering me their open borders(not mine, though), ivory for 30 turns, 12 units of iron for 30 turns, 6 units of horses for 30 turns, and 3 of their cities, which I also turned into puppets.

Then my happiness went to 13 unhappiness. I've got it to like 4 unhappiness now, but there aren't any more buildings I can make other than Circus Maximus to fix it.

  4. My biggest complaint about Civ 5 is that it seems like the game just doesn't want you to expand. I have something like 6 cities, with the Liberty social policy maxed out(which is supposed to be good for big empires), but I still barely break even on happiness.

I miss my sprawling, globe-spanning empires of Civ 2.

  5. Had a gift certificate to Best Buy, so I picked up 2k11 last week. Created a point guard in MyPlayer, got drafted in the 2nd round by Miami, cut shortly after, did almost 20 games in the D-League for the Austin Toros, then got signed to a 10-day contract for the Sacramento Kings before they renewed it for the rest of the season.

Having a blast at this game, even if it took me a while to get used to the controls. And I barely know anything about basketball.

Where can I find a good set of sliders?

  6. So I dug out DeadSpace for my PS3 because it has been laying around in forever and I never beat it. It is a below average game but I still want some use out of it, if not only to go around stomping aliens. Then I get to the shooting comet stage. Guess this game got annoyed with me laughing at it for being so easy and decided to fuck me over.

At least you could've used some lube, damn it!

    You're dead to me.

  7. I think my girlfriend may have brought me a PSP. If not, I'm buying one anyway soon, so...

Anyone want to shoot me towards some reliable guides they might know of for installing emulators and playing SNES and Playstation ISO's on there? Do I need an SD card?

You will need a memory card for the PSP. Do you know which model you have? I have a hacked PSP, but it's a 2000 model which are several years outdated now. But, the way you hack one of those involves downloading custom firmware onto the memory card, opening the battery, cutting a connection on the battery's motherboard so it won't load the stock firmware and will pull the custom firmware off the card instead, then drawing the connection on the battery's motherboard with a pencil.

I think I found a youtube video or something on how to do it, but it's been a few years since I did it.

  8. Some of the times, the stuff is surprisingly simple. Since Android is based off Linux, its possbile to gain root access for modding. Once thats done, the skys the limit. Theres a file in android called the build.prop file. Changing 2 lines in that changes Netflix from saying "This device is currently unsupported" to working perfectly. So I imagine that it might be something similar.

Looking at the specs for the Xperia Play, its nothing spectacular. Qualcom 1GHz Snapdragon processor is pretty standard issue. Android 2.3 is rolling out slowly among carriers and phones, unless your like me and mod your phone so your running 2.4 or 3.0 already. The 4.0 inch touchscreen is also more or less standard, give or take a bit (my phone is 3.8)

So yea..it seems like once its available..someone will know how to get this running on every phone

    And yes...I'm a cellphone geek.. ^_^

    This guy knows what's up.

Although, I am curious as to how Minecraft would work on a phone that's all touchscreen.
