  1. Hmm well the Spurs barely beat the Suns without Amare and Diaw, so I can't imagine they'll beat them when they return rather pissed off tonight. I'll be very disappointed if this doesn't go 7 games
  2. Xbox.com says its going live at 1pm now. Take with a grain of salt
  3. I'm just annoyed they messed up the biggest phase of their beta testing, as surely the most people being let into it are coming via crackdown. Like myself. Grr.
  4. How is a suspension a slap on the wrist? Thats the harshest penalty they could give them. You're still acting as if they actually did something besides stand up and walk. Rule or no rule, a suspension for an act as irrelevant as that is ridiculously harsh.
  5. It shouldn't be an iron clad rule though. They didn't do anything. Its not like they started brawling, it was a particularly vicious foul, which probably shocked them so they got up out of concern. Now they're suspended for doing nothing and the series is fucked. This is playoff basketball, you can't have stupid shit like suspension for standing up messing with your premier series. Especially when the NBA needs the best ratings it can get as its popularity is on a slow decline
  6. Amare and Diaw are suspended for one, Horry for two I still think Marion, Bell, Barbosa and a very pissed off Steve Nash give the Suns a decent chance to win
  7. See this is why I hate the NBA, they just ruined their best series by suspending Amare and Diaw for standing up after Robert Horry laid out Steve Nash. I know there's a rule that says any player that leaves the bench during a scuffle will get suspended but this is stupid. It'd be one thing if they did it following a weak flagrant, but christ Horry laid Nash out, with obvious malicious intent and they reacted, now they Spurs get the next game on a silver platter Fucking stupid.
  8. Alkaline Trio's new cd and their re-release of Goddamnit!
  9. I'm fairly sure they'll be keeping Kelly Washington, as they overpaid him, giving him a 5 year contract that could be worth $22 million. I doubt they'll be cutting him and taking that cap hit. Gaffney most likely won't make it as he offers nothing that one of the other recievers can't do. Moss Stallworth Caldwell Washington Jackson Welker
  10. Nah, apparently they've tweaked the game alot so you can weave in and out of the story, with other missions and you won't end up doing the same 5 things over and over again. Plus once you get to black suit, you get a whole new moveset full of uberviolent attacks.
  11. I'm going to a midnight showing tomorrow as well, bought the tickets on sunday. Didn't have to reserve seats though, of course the showing isn't really publicized or anything. Buying the game on friday, which I think I'm more psyched about.
  12. I'm fairly sure Randy Moss doesn't have a no trade clause. They could have sent him anywhere and all he could do was pout about it.
  13. An injured Daunte Culpepper was traded for a second round pick! But a healthy Randy Moss, one of the best recievers in the leauge when he's barely even trying is only worth a 4th? And a late 4th at that! You can't tell me any other team wouldn't have traded a 4th rounder for Randy Moss, this is ridiculous.
  14. Lets see, because at the time that Green Bay trade was being discussed, they had Andrew Walter and thats it. They could have taken that deal, then drafted Calvin Johnson. Or they could have taken that deal after drafting Russel and traded even less for Mike Williams and left McCown in Detroit Randy Moss is apparently equal in value to Mike Williams, a bust and Josh McCown, a QB who couldn't start in Arizona. Actually Moss is worth less apparently as the pick Detroit got was higher than the one Oakland got. Its much like the Dillon deal from a few seasons ago. The Bengals could have gotten much more for Corey Dillon had they come out and said "give us your offers" instead they talk to only the Patriots and get shit in return. Thats not weird though?
  15. They were offered more to send him out of the conference and they don't? Yeah thats not weird at all. They could have said, alright we're fielding trades for Moss and recieved way better offers, but instead they only talk to the Pats, to get a bad 4th round pick?
  16. This is seriously fucked up, there is something up with this Patriots bullshit where they get quality guys for shitty draft picks. The Raiders gave up a top 10 pick and Napoleon Harris, a guy they drafted in the first round to get Moss. Now they give Moss up for a 4th round pick? But they wouldn't make a deal with the Packers who were offering Aaron Rogers and a 5th round pick? What the fuck is that? Maybe the Pats should offer the Chargers a 6th and 7th rounder, they can probably land LT
  17. I like what the Cowboys are doing this year and how they are setting themselves up.
  18. Wow another great move by the cowboys, Jerry Jones has decided its much better to sit out the second round then to sit out the third. I mean jeez why not, we've been hitting home runs with our late round draft picks for the last few years. Edit: Oh snap! We moved up 17 spots in the sixth round! Now we'll be able to get a guy who'll actually make the practice squad!
  19. Alright, now Dallas' drafting is annoying me. I know Jerry Jones thinks the team could have lined up yesterday and played, but we still have needs. Now I was actually excited about the prospect of getting Brady Quinn, but we have Romo and want to see how he pans out, and we robbed the Browns of their first round pick next year, which will almost certainly be in the top 12. My problem begins with trading back up and giving up the second rounder we got from Cleveland. Was defensive end a glaring need? Not in my eyes. We have Spears and Canty, and while they haven't been spectacular, they've both had some injuries, but they aren't exactly busts. Linebacker/DE hybrids, we've got Ware and Ellis, who before he went down was playing wonderfully at his new spot. Now I know once Ellis went down that side of the defense struggled, but the cowboys are still stocked at LBs and Carpenter and Kevin Burnett could have filled in if Ellis or Ware goes down. Spencer is a good pickup, and will probably end up replacing Canty on one side at DE, but I don't think DE was a glaring need for the Cowboys, and they are certainly better stocked there then they are at DT, Safety and certainly wide reciever. Giving up the Browns second round choice means we won't select again till the 50s and we'll be left with the bottom end of the top 15-20 recievers, most likely finding someone who's about as good as Patrick Clayton, certainly not the game breaker we'll need in the next few years. Of course my compaints are pretty null and void, as the cowboys will have 2 first rounders next year and will almost certainly be using of them to acquire a wide reciever somehow.
  20. Eddie George who had a costly fumble in the AFC championship game the year he was on the cover and then his career went to shit? Everyone says there's no curse every year and yet every year the person on the cover gets injured. Hence I won't be suprised if Vince Young goes down with a season ending injury if he is indeed the cover athelete. While Ray didn't get injured till the end of the year, the Ravens only won 6 games.
  21. Everyone accept game invites from AwesomeBot 5000, its me and we always need people.
