Spectacular...there's what? One entertaining finals combination to come from these 4 teams? Celtics/Lakers and it won't live up to amount of hype that'll be put on it. Although it'll still be nice to see if it happens. I've got a horrible feeling its going to end up Spurs/Pistons again.

I look at it more in terms of Alien, Aliens and Predator 1 and 2 Vs Aliens Vs Predator. The first batch were all men in suit or animatronic and it looked great and for the most part still does. AVP was just a shitty CGI fest for the most part. CGI doesn't ruin imaginations when its used properly. Films that are totally CGI are great for the most part, its a matter of making sure then when you're intergating CGI into live action films it doesn't look like crap, thats how you ruin the illusion. I'm wondering if the rise of Blu Ray is going to cause a problem with this sort of thing. I was checking out Pirates of the Carribean 2 in the Sony store on Blu Ray. All the actors and such look spectacular and like they're standing in the room with you, but because of that, it made scenes with the Kraken look like absolute shit since everyone looks so real, CGI really stands out and becomes much more obvious

Looks like Matt Walsh is delivering more tapes of the Pats stealing signals, including a very in depth one from the 2001 AFC Championship game. Granted it won't change much, considering Belicheck admitted he'd been taping signals since 2000, but I wonder if the one during the AFC Championship will garner any special attention.

The Offspring have finally announced a release date for their next album, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, its coming out on June 17. I know we've had a thread on here about how everyone loves The Offspring, so I figure I can't be the only one looking forward to this release. Can't Repeat from their Greatest Hits record was one of the best songs they've done in a few years IMO, so I really hope they keep going in that direction. Sucks they lost Atom to Angels and Airwaves though. You can download the first single "Hammerhead" for free here...http://www.offspring.com/widget. Its a little different, but also a big move back to the sound they had around Americana's release. Definitely a nice move away from the way too sugary sound Splinter and some of Conspiracy of One had.

I got the 6 stars by going onto the Algonquin Bride while it was blocked off. Thats an automatic 6 stars, then I just hopped down to the subway tracks underneath it and hung out there till I got the achievement. Then I ran through the subway tracks, lost all my stars and jumped off the Algonquin Bridge. This didn't kill me, so I swam up to an island and as soon as I stepped foot on the road a taxi ran me over and killed me.

Speaking of subtitles, where do you turn those on? I was looking through the options but couldn't find them

Yeah you can do that in any game, but it overrides the in game audio. What I want is to be able to play my own songs in the game, and have them turn into background noise during conversations like music on the radio does

Lack of a custom soundtrack feature. Come on, you could put in your own "tape" back in Vice City on Xbox.

To customize your guy, you have to do it before you go into multiplayer. So while you're standing around as Niko, bring up the phone menu, select multiplayer and then one of the options is "PLAYER MODEL" thats where you customize your guy. You get more customization options as you level up. With the Free Mode thing, I have no idea how it works. I was playing with my 2 roommates last night and the first time we went into free mode, it stuck us in with 13 other people. We left that, started free mode again and it was only the 3 of us. One of my roommates droped out, so then we started again and got put in with 14 other people again. So, I've got no idea how that works out, can't seem to find an option for private matches.

We can have shoving matches atop moving cars at least... I was running 16 person Free Mode for most of the night, almost zero lag. This is awesome. Hell you don't even have to leave the party lobby to have fun.

Midnight launches are generally just for people who have pre-orders. You might be able to go at like 11 and pay off a copy in full, then get it at midnight, but usually its just people iwth pre-orders, they pay the game off before midnight, then at 12 just pick it up and leave.
