  1. She said that she was only given a 2% chance to even compete. Running just over 11 seconds with a bad hamstring is really quite impressive. Still, winning gold would have been a tall order. The winning time was the second fastest ever.
  2. I'm very sad for Dina Asher-Smith.
  3. Jonny Brownlee finally has a gold medal. I'm pleased for him.
  4. They said last year that they were writing a new album. They were still regularly touring as well.
  5. That's sad to read. ZZ Top are a band that seem to have wide appeal across a range of rock and blues fanbases, so this will upset a lot of people. I saw them in 2009 at a festival and they put on a good show, although I'm aware that there might have been some lip syncing involved. It's also a shame because ZZ Top are one of very few decades-old bands to have kept the same lineup since their first album release.
  6. In your Steam games library, on the left-hand side, there's an arrow next to the "Games" tab. You should be able to tick "Tools" as well, which is where the editors are found.
  7. Great win for Britain's 4x200m relay team.
  8. I saw him a couple of times with Slipknot and once as a guest drummer for Korn. As much as Slipknot divide opinion, I think more people than not agree that one of their strengths as a live act has been the fact that every member on stage was always doing something a bit weird. Joey fit that bill perfectly with his solos on a rotating drum kit, and it was a memorable part of each show.
  9. Good for Daley. He's been waiting a long time for that.
  10. If that's Geralt of Rivia, I can completely believe it.
  11. I thought that would be something we'd see in the near future. I'd assume that it will only be a top leagues to begin with, but it could be a really interesting dynamic nevertheless. Transitioning between managing men's and women's teams should add another layer to career saves and gives more visibility to the women's game. I'm struggling to think of any other features I'd greatly care to see added. I'd be happy enough for them to focus on improving the match engine and manager AI, and perhaps making international management a bit more interesting.
  12. I see that Amazon Prime Gaming is sponsoring Stevenage's shirts next season.
  13. They ended up losing in the final, but won the competition the next year. With two consecutive victories in the playoffs as well, the early-to-mid nineties were a golden time for Wembley finals for Notts.
  14. I normally love the Olympics, but I'm really struggling to care much about these games in much more than a concerned capacity. The atmosphere won't be good without the full crowds, while packing competitors together in a small space is a recipe for disaster. Team GB is highly unlikely to repeat the great medal hauls of the last two games, but a predicted fifth place in the medal table would still be a very good result. I remember when there was only one British gold medal in 1996, by comparison. Track cycling looks as though it's going to be a sport that sees a major drop in British medals. Data from Gracenote predicts that it will only yield two British medals, both silver, which would be in massive contrast with the success enjoyed over the last three games. There are a few decent British medal prospects in the athletics. However, I wouldn't say any of them are favourites to win gold. Dina Asher-Smith is a great competitor, but the 100m and 200m are both ridiculously stacked right now. KJT ought to have been a big contender if it hadn't been for her Achilles injury. Other than that, there are some medal prospects in the middle distance races, with gold probably unlikely.
  15. I quite like the idea, although I can't see it being a Switch killer at all. The Switch largely thrives on its exclusives, so its audience isn't likely to be abandoning it in the near future.
  16. Here's an interesting BBC article about James Coppinger.
  17. There are some decent Youtube tutorials to help you get used to the game. The in-game tutorial isn't great, so I'd seek them out.
  18. It doesn't seem to be the most popular one, but some people like it. The biggest complaints I've seen were the motion controls (no longer mandatory in the new version) and an excess of busywork.
  19. I'd rather England had a likable manager who didn't win tournaments than a nasty one who did.
  20. This batch of England players is really challenging the whole "footballers are thickos" narrative.
  21. I don't think enough has been done by the relevant authorities to condemn the bad behaviour by fans over the last few weeks, which makes me really concerned about the aftermath of this match. Emotions may run high, but it's football. It's not worth getting violent and nasty over.
