  1. I'm not very familiar with SNL and its alumni, but I was actually watching a compilation of MacDonald's OJ Simpson jokes a few days ago. His verbal delivery seemed good.
  2. The PS5 Stock Alerts Twitter account seems to be the go-to source for a lot of people. Keep an eye on that and you might be in luck.
  3. I hate nasty chants about opponents. Just sing nice songs about your own team.
  4. I'm quite sure it included standalone consoles and game bundles. Amazon might have stock tomorrow.
  5. PS5s are apparently in stock in the UK at Game and Very.
  6. Forest could do with him back at the moment.
  7. Medvedev seems like a knob, but this is a more interesting result than another Djokovic victory would have been. Complete dominance is boring. The US Open has had six different male winners in the last ten years, which is unusual when compared with the other Slams. The Australian Open and French Open have had three different champions, while Wimbledon has had four.
  8. The most recent cash-grab exhibition event, which took place yesterday, featured Donald Trump on commentary.
  9. Joe Salisbury also won in the mixed doubles earlier today, giving him a second title of the tournament. It's been a successful couple of days for British tennis.
  10. When she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon, I thought that Raducanu maybe could have challenged for Grand Slams one day with some more years of experience and development. To think that she won one three months later is amazing.
  11. In other good news, there's guaranteed to be a British winner in the Men's Doubles. Joe Salisbury and Jamie Murray, along with their respective partners, will contest the final.
  12. You could combine the finalists' ages and they'd still be younger than Serena Williams.
  13. Not necessarily. A lot of games don't offer such a service, and manually transferring saves could be difficult because Microsoft Store game files are difficult to access manually.
  14. This is coming to Game Pass for PC and Xbox on day one. That's good to know. Windows Store games aren't very mod-friendly, though, so installing new skins and transfer updates would be a pain.
  15. So the message is "Don't play as one of the top teams, you boring tit."
  16. It's definitely harder to get excited about showcases for games on a console you don't have and probably won't have for a long time. At least the Xbox games come to PC as well. On the other hand, I suppose the idea of having a bigger pile of games to catch up on when you finally do get a system is sort of nice. I got a PS3 in 2010 and could then play all the games I'd missed out on, like Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous, LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted. They were all nice and cheap too, rather than the full £40 they would have been at launch.
  17. Semi-finals now. I'm amazed.
  18. That's fair. I should have been more specific. It's a bit jarring to me when they're going to release a separate expanded version soon, but the standard "vanilla" edition is still as expensive as it is. I think I'm probably still in the mindset that PC games are cheaper than console games, which isn't really the case now. I suppose a lot of it has to do with specific publishers, though. I've often found that 2K games tend to go down in price quite quickly, whereas Activision games don't. When all is said and done, you buy a game if you think it's worth the price and not if you don't.
  19. That's interesting. Rogers has a history of beating high-profile players, it seems. I'd put her down as favourite against Raducanu, but it has the potential to be hard-fought.
  20. She could play Ash Barty next. That should be a really good experience and a way to gauge how she measures up against the very top players.
  21. In a lot of cases now, it's all of those things. Season passes and DLC roadmaps are more commonly being put out before a game even launches, and then you've got ever more cosmetic items and/or lootboxes behind paywalls. Inflation is obviously a factor that shouldn't be ignored, but we're at a point now where "complete" versions of games for those buying everything at launch often cost way more than the £60/$70 price. I think that waiting for major published games to go down in price is more and more of a sensible option these days. Publishers use the concept of FOMO to push people to pre-order everything, but you're then paying the most to get the worst version of a game.
  22. The fact that a game that's 60% off still costs that much is a sad statement about game prices now.
  23. When you're always among the top seeds, going unbeaten in qualifiers for years isn't as impressive an achievement as it might appear on paper. It's often a bit like a top Premier League team not losing to a Championship side in a cup competition for a long time.
