The sale of his team last year felt like the end of an era, and this is obviously worse news. I don't think you could see a startup team like Williams succeed in the way they did back in the day now, but they were dominant in their prime. I really enjoyed seeing Pastor Maldonado pick up an unexpected win in 2012 for the team. It was a feel-good moment in a sport that became increasingly difficult for Williams to remain competitive in.

Horizon never quite clicked with me. I quite like the main character, but I found navigating the open world a little clunky. The jumping and climbing controls weren't very tight, which made it frustrating at time. The story didn't do anything for me either. I think it was mainly because I found most of the supporting cast to be deathly dull.

It's a shame that Wales and Scotland can't both qualify.

And GOG is better than Steam anyway.

I think you have to wait a while to commit to one role or the other.

There are people in their thirties who only ever knew Man United as the dominant team in English football all throughout their childhood and early adulthood. These must seem like the dark ages for those people. It shows how relative your club's standards are.

2K's love for slowing career mode progress to people who don't pay real money for in-game currency means that I'm wary of anything they put out. The gameplay could be superb and I still wouldn't be particularly interested if the main single-player modes were tedious grindfests.

SAM was another horrible GTA 3 mission.

I've read that GTA 3 and Vice City don't have the mid-mission checkpoints that San Andreas does, and that you can only restart missions from the beginning. That's a bit rubbish. There are some long missions with a lot of annoying pitfalls in those games.

I hope they pick the location by throwing a dart at a world map.

When they say that it's a randomly selected team hosting the final matches, does that mean all the matches will be played in the same country or each match will have its own home team drawn at random?

I have to say that I'm enjoying this version of San Andreas more than the original, which I struggled several times to get into. The controls and checkpoints are very welcome additions. That said, I don't like what this release stands for. Rockstar removed the old versions from digital sale and aggressively took down a lot of arguably superior fan mods in the build-up to these remasters. It's a bad look for a company that already has a reputation for overworking its staff.
