They're showing next-gen footage and it still looks awful. It looks as if it's running at 15fps. This is supposed to be a carefully presented showcase to convince people to buy it.

Given how quickly games can load on an SSD, I can't imagine that booting up a game is much of an inconvenience now.

I'm seeing a few common complaints in areas that bothered me in the first game, namely the story, characters and controls. Most reviews seem to state that the narrative is worse than in the first game, while the combat and exploration controls haven't really improved. That's very off-putting for me, even if the graphics are nice.

I haven't noticed any frame rate issues. Maybe it's because, as it's a turn-based tactics game, frame rate isn't something I think about much.

Triangle Strategy has a lot of exposition. The game timer is at over 1 hour, 30 minutes and I've had only one battle. I like it, though. The world and lore seem interesting and the one battle I had was enjoyable.
