I know "Banzai" is probably referring to the Banzai Drop, but it's still a bit questionable when none of the wrestlers in the pack are Japanese.

A couple of reports state that WWE is talking with EA over the publication rights for WWE games starting from next year. That would presumably mean starting from scratch.

The "free" thing you're thinking of as part of the initial PS5 games reveal showcase referred to GTA Online, not the single-player mode. It was only ever going to be a timed offer as well.

£8.75 is a very good deal for anyone who somehow doesn't own the old versions yet. For those who do, it's not amazing when you consider that plenty of other companies are offering free next-gen upgrades. It's better than it might have been (and evidently better than it's going to be after three months), but I don't consider it a brilliant act of generosity on Rockstar's part.

This is being developed by Frontier Developments, who make the Planet Coaster/Zoo and Jurassic World Evolution games. I hope it's as good as Motorsport Manager.

This is why I hate it when games are announced before the developers have even started working on them.

Obviously, the Champions League is massive. I've got no problems with it being the top European club competition. I just think that it's come at the expense of the other European competitions, and the massive gulf in prize money has meant that finishing in the top four has become more important to clubs than anything else. Finishing second in the league used to mean that you went into the UEFA Cup, and that in and of itself was an honour. Now you get fans hoping their club finishes outside the top seven so they don't have to bother with it.

As someone who doesn't support a top club, I've found that the gradual expansion of the Champions League has sucked the fun out of other competitions. Getting into the Champions League has become the be-all and end-all for the big teams because of the financial rewards, while the Europa League, once a highly prestigious tournament, is seen by the same clubs as a trinket that's beneath them. It's the same for the FA Cup and League Cup. They've become such afterthoughts with clubs pursuing the all-important top four spots. It almost seems as if the big clubs win them begrudgingly.

Having at least four extra matches before the knockout stages will presumably mean that the top clubs put even less effort into domestic cup competitions. How do they decide who each team plays in their ten matches? Is it based on a ranking system? I'm guessing that teams from the same country won't play each other in the group stage.

Sony has a guide here. It seems that the biggest pitfall could be ensuring that you use the right kind of SSD, but I imagine that's not too difficult to research. Having looked into it, though, it seems that the PS5 can work with external hard drives, but only PS4 games games can be played from it. You could always move some PS5 games to the external hard drive when you're not playing them and move them back when you do want to play them.

Abramovich has owned Chelsea for nearly 20 years. It really doesn't seem like that long to me.

It was in 2007. 2009 had zombie Finlay and Santino Marella. I didn't play 2k20, but the story looked really wacky. It's a shame it was wasted on a game that was so poor.

I don't think it even sold badly. Square Enix just has unrealistic expectations. There have been a few times when it's complained about sales figures of its games being disappointing.

Lawn Mowing Simulator is a much more exciting prospect for me than Guardians of the Galaxy.

It seems every recent penalty shootout I've seen at club level has been a long one. Perhaps players are getting better at them than they used to be.
