Fun matches so far today.

Today is the last day of kickoffs before 3pm GMT.

If Spain win this match, they could easily field a second-string side for the next match. There would have to be a big goal swing for them not to finish top of the group.

Canada ultimately didn't have the quality this time round, but they're already guaranteed to be back at the next World Cup, at which point they ought to be in a better position. As hosts, they'll be seeded as well.

This group has been a lot more interesting than I would have expected.

I'd say there's still a fair amount of pressure on because anything other than a win today would mean that Iran would just need a draw in the final match to finish ahead of USA. However, it ought to mean that USA have their fate in their own hands, which they might not have done if Wales had won.

If only this could be extended to their right to host it.

Iran could have won this game by at least four goals.

Why is that only a yellow card?

Iran would definitely see this as two points dropped if it ends 0-0.

A draw would be OK for Wales if England were to beat USA. That would mean that England would already be group winners going into the final match and thus in a position to field a weakened side against Wales.

The thing with Iran's matches is that you can never tell how many of the fans booing the anthem are from each side.

That ought to be in the Goal of the Tournament shortlist.
