Christine McVie from Fleetwood Mac has died.

It would have been mad just a few years ago to think that one of Argentina's most influential players at a World Cup would be playing for Brighton.
-
Nice save
-
It's a possible last World Cup match for both Messi and Lewandowski tonight.
-
Half of it is apparently a Persona-style friendship RPG in which you bond with members of the team to unlock new powers and quests.
-
One point for Denmark in that group will disappoint them massively. Some people had them down as dark horses for this competition.

I finished Pentiment yesterday. It's a very interesting and pretty game that's sort of like a less complicated version of Disco Elysium. It's on Game Pass and doesn't take long to complete, so I recommend it.

Is anyone interested in Marvel's Midnight Suns? It's a tactical game with card-based mechanics developed by Firaxis (XCOM, Civilization) and has been getting some positive reviews.

Other than Qatar, I don't think there's a team that's performed worse at this World Cup than Wales, and that makes me sad. The quality just isn't there yet, but I hope the next generation of players can blossom and reach further tournaments.

Match fixing at its finest.

Now that wasn't bad at all.

We'll all feel very silly when Wales score six unanswered goals now.
-
Spare a thought for all Conservative voters at this tough time.

James Ward-Prowse would have been useful for these kinds of situations. EDIT: Well, I should have waited a few seconds before posting.

I'm a fan of Brennan Johnson, so I'm interested to see what happens.
-
A Chesney Hawkes performance? That ought to be better than that first half.
-
I think they've both been rather poor. Wales have given England plenty of space, but they've done nothing meaningful with it.
-
Four more goals for USA and they'll be top of the group.
-
For all their possession, England haven't created a decent chance yet.
-
Mowbray: What do England have to do better? Jenas: They have to be better than they were against USA. Now that's insight.
-
Wales: Listen to your fans and let them cheer you to victory. England: Ignore your fans because they're tossers.

I do agree, but one thing that annoyed me back then was the pundits acting as though losing to Iceland was the most humiliating thing imaginable. Iceland had taken five points in a group containing Portugal, Austria and Hungary. Yes, England ought to have won on paper, but it wasn't as though they were beaten by San Marino.

It's interesting to see that BBC1 and BBC2 will be showing matches at the same time. It seems like a bit of a pain for those who don't like football.

Brave of them to go head-to-head with Portugal v Uruguay.

The Sir Alex Ferguson Thread (For Manager related news)
Bobfoc replied to Baddar's topic in Myke's Sports Bar
I remember Sam Allardyce saying something similar as Bolton manager when he was linked with other jobs. It rankled a bit because he had left Notts County to join Bolton in the first place. I have no problem with someone wanting to move up in the world, but don't spout holier-than-thou nonsense and not expect to be reminded of it.
