  1. I think Forest are going down. Their away form has been so poor.
  2. The relegation battle looks as though it's shaping up to be an exciting one.
  3. Probably some of the Virtual Console games that aren't on Switch yet.
  4. I reckon Crawley might be one because I can't remember them being in the play-offs.
  5. I think Ghost of Tsushima is on there.
  6. Do these things usually mess with the effectiveness of your tactics?
  7. I finished Spiderman: Miles Morales a couple of days ago. It was on Playstation Plus, so I thought I might as well give it a look. All in all, it's a fun superhero game. I prefer it to its predecessor because it didn't make you fight several waves of enemies to pad out the action sections. Otherwise, though, it's basically more of the same, which is fine. Swinging around the city is satisfying and the stealth/melee gameplay, while not as good as in the Batman Arkham games, is perfectly adequate. With regards to the story, I'd euphemistically say that "it is what it is". It's completely predictable, even for someone like me who has little knowledge of the Spiderman lore, which I'd consider to be neither a good nor a bad thing. Mind you, I do remember someone saying that they cried at the ending, which seems utterly crackers to me.
  8. I'm not really in the Final Fantasy fanbase, but some of those who are seem as bad as Sonic fans at letting themselves get hurt over and over again. It doesn't seem particularly uncommon to see people who have disliked every mainline Final Fantasy game for the last twenty years, but still pre-order them all and convince themselves that the next one will finally bring them eternal happiness.
  9. There's a big Humble Bundle raising money to help victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey. It has over 60 games and a handful of digital comics.
  10. Of course, media hype shouldn't be taken as gospel, but all the previews for Final Fantasy XVI are looking very positive. Apparently, it's pretty much a full-fledged action game now with Devil May Cry-esque combat. It's just a pity it's the latest victim of third-party exclusivity cobblers.
  11. How good is the story? I like the look of the gameplay, but I tend to need an engaging plot if I'm going to commit so many hours to a game.
  12. By the look of things, this season isn't likely to draw you back in. It has the makings of another Verstappen-led procession.
  13. Wow, this Justice League game looks like a strong entry in this year's "Who can make the most generic-looking game?" contest.
  14. There will be a State of Play showcase in a few hours. It will last around 45 minutes, with 15 minutes dedicated to the new Suicide Squad game. The rest will be dedicated to PSVR2 games and a few third-party titles.
  15. He's still the voice of football to me, even years after his full-time retirement. He also had strong family links with my town, which was an all too rare source of pride for people around here.
  16. It should do. Your account can be used across multiple systems.
  17. Paul Gascoigne made his first Middlesbrough appearance in the 1998 League Cup Final.
  18. Chelsea need to buck up their ideas or they might miss out on him on this showing.
  19. I thought The Last of Us was just OK the first time round, but I preferred it the second time.
  20. I get annoyed when people act as though there's a statue of limitations on spoilers. Someone on Twitch casually spoiled the ending of The Last of Us and, when called out on it, smugly responded that anyone who hadn't played it yet was never going to. Plenty of people get round to playing games years, and even decades, after they first launch, so to throw out spoilers without warning is just inconsiderate. Even worse is when people assume that, because they've seen, read or played something, everyone else has, making spoilers fair game. It's something that fuels the "FOMO" factor that companies have latched onto as a way to entice people to pay ever-increasing prices to consume their stories on day one.
  21. I know of a few of them, but I haven't listened to some of them. BMTH is an interesting one because I've come across fans who only like their old stuff and those who mostly like their more recent output. I think I've found with rock and metal music released over the last decade is that there's often too much going on in the tracks. I understand that it's often mixed differently now in a way that makes the instruments seem to merge together more messily. It's a stylistic choice that's popular with many, but I prefer the ability to hear everything properly.
  22. Maybe it's a bit of a cop-out, but I'd say just the buzz of pressing a button and making something happen on a screen. There's this sense of awe you feel when you first try something out. Putting on a VR headset for the first time was similar, but to a lesser extent. As far as actual gameplay or story, I imagine I wouldn't get the same feeling as I did the first time round, simply because I'm older and more jaded now. The opening of Metal Gear Solid, with the operatic music and film-like subtitles still appearing on the screen as you sneak towards the lift, blew me away back in the day, but I'd probably find it corny if I were to experience it for the first time now.
  23. Well, it's not all bad. Slipknot are headlining. Any recommendations on the more melodic side? I'm not into punk or ska, but maybe things of the Stone Sour sort of ilk.
