  1. Turns out it's £249. £449 for the Series X is my guess now.
  2. £299 is what I'd guess. It's a shame about the exchange rate, but bearing in mind that used Xbox One X units don't cost much less than that, it wouldn't be a bad deal.
  3. I can see the Series S tempting a lot of people at $299. It would be the cheapest option for a next-gen system. The Series X is a better long-term investment, though, and I don't think I'd be ready to have a digital-only console, even with Game Pass being as good as it is.
  4. What's the plan for that? Are you playing them every day or spacing them out?
  5. I remember Freedom Force and its sequel. They were a lot of fun. Irrational Games made them a few years before developing Bioshock.
  6. That's such a silly thing to do. It was a bit of an oversell by the line judge, though. Maybe it was all part of an angle.
  7. So many people want a new SOAD album, but I'm worried it wouldn't be as good as the old stuff. I think they have a very good track record and I don't want them to spoil it.
  8. Seeing such adulation from a winning team, rather than the "business as usual" response from Mercedes, is very refreshing.
  9. Mid-race stoppage aside, this has been very entertaining.
  10. Not the best start for Bottas. Vettel's nightmare season continues.
  11. That was a low-quality affair. A narrow England win seems fair in the end.
  12. International football without crowds is quite appealing to me. No booing of national anthems or xenophobic chants.
  13. I've been playing in Ireland as well, following on from the tutorial. I've just become King of Wales as well after a long, annoying war. Thankfully, I have plenty of children to marry off and seal alliances, which helped get me over the line. Unfortunately, my heir decided to murder my oldest daughter, so I disinherited him and had him imprisoned. These probably aren't good strategies for getting high scores, but sod it. I'm playing to have fun and see what happens.
  14. Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons are headlining a festival in my county next year.
  15. Based on the people I've come across, it's largely part of a victim mentality they have. They believe that mandatory masks are used by the government to see who will be easily controlled. They believe that climate change is a government con to raise taxes that will go straight in the pockets of evil socialists. They believe that the government plans to exterminate white people under the Kalergi Plan. They're the real victims of oppression, you see, not anyone else. Instead of viewing the government as incompetent, as many do, these people see it as so ultra-competent that it's capable of running a secret campaign, alongside every other world leader that isn't far-right, to commit genocide against them. They've got everyone fooled. Not them, though! They're the smart ones who see the world as it really is.
  16. Maybe the two sets of shoulder buttons will be mapped to particular spurts. What I find baffling is that the game won't support Gamecube controllers, even though it's literally a port of a Gamecube game.
  17. I'm guessing you just shake the console, or maybe it's mapped to a button.
  18. According to Nintendo, the pointer will be controlled with touchscreen functionality in handheld mode.
  19. It's something I wonder about a lot of people. "Sheeple" is always a funny term because it's used by people to disparage people who believe everything they're told by mainstream news sources, while those using it as an insult will believe everything they're told by David Icke and Vernon Coleman and consider themselves to be free thinkers.
  20. Sadly, I've seen this sort of thing quite a few times online. It seems that a fair few people believe they're the last line of defence against Bill Gates' plan to enslave the world.
  21. Very much the end of an era.
  22. I agree there. Nintendo only tend to announce a select few games years in advance, and they're usually open about why they might be delayed. It's a big reason why I enjoy Nintendo Direct shows more than any other. There's always something to look forward to in the short term.
  23. You could extend this to almost everyone who says something is "too political now". That usually means that it has anyone other than straight white men in it.
