  1. Russell just misses out on a point again. That's a shame. Now Hamilton is only one win behind Schumacher's record.
  2. This has all been a bit wild.
  3. Harrogate won 4-0 away in their first Football League match. I think they'll be OK in this division.
  4. There are plenty of sales on the eShop, but the first-party games never tend to get large discounts. The console itself has held its price well over the three years since its launch. Chances are that you'll only save small amounts of money when certain online retailers offer small percentages off through voucher codes.
  5. There's going to be a Playstation 5 show on Wednesday. You'd think that there's a good chance of a price reveal.
  6. I like The Scorpions. Rock You Like a Hurricane is one of the great air guitar songs. They still put on a great live show too, even though Rudolf Schenker and Klaus Meine are in their seventies now.
  7. So the finals will be Osaka vs. Azarenka and Thiem vs. Zverev. This is a rare occasion on which the men's competition has been more open than the women's. Thiem or Zverev will become the first male singles Grand Slam winner born in the 1990s, which is quite amazing. Tennis used to be thought of as a young person's game, so it's a testament to how good Federer, Nadal and Djokovic has been that there are no male Grand Slam winners under the age of 30.
  8. I've always just put consoles on a table. It's always worked for me. I used to serve plenty of customers who wanted all their electronic gadgets colour-coordinated alongside their entertainment systems, which must have been a massive headache. I'm glad I have no eye for aesthetics.
  9. Sony can't sell the regular PS5 at a higher price than the Series X without looking bad. I can see it being the same price, in all likelihood. Realistically, the PS5 Digital won't be able to match the price of the Series S, so it will be very interesting to see how Sony pitches it.
  10. I reckon the Series S is a particularly good option for people who didn't have an Xbox One and aren't bothered about PC gaming, but are still interested in Game Pass and backwards compatibility with digital games. It'll open up the possibility of owning a PS5 for the fancy next-gen graphics and Sony exclusives, but without missing out on any Microsoft-only game.
  11. The PS5 has a more powerful GPU and more RAM, and the CPUs of the two systems are very similar, so it doesn't look as though the Series S is more powerful than the PS5. The Series S still aims for 60fps, but at a lower resolution.
  12. Game Pass will start including EA Access at no additional cost later this year. They're really going for this. Also, have a look at this: These monthly plans actually work out cheaper than the full prices of the console and Game Pass subscriptions combined. Suddenly, picking up a new Xbox has become a lot more feasible for a lot more people.
  13. They're literally marketing it as "the smallest Xbox ever".
  14. People who pre-order Crash Bandicoot 4 get access to a demo next week. I know this isn't the first time this has happened, but it seems completely backward to me. Demos always used to be released to convince people to buy the full game, but now it's the other way round.
  15. That makes sense. It seems that there's no great alternative solution.
  16. Why did they get rid of one-shot qualifying, anyway?
  17. The PS5 certainly has a bespoke SSD, which makes it difficult to expand its memory in theory. The Series X has teamed up with Seagate to produce memory card-like SSDs that can be attached externally. If that becomes more of an industry standard, the Series X potentially has a big advantage. External HDDs will work, but only with games from previous console generations. Because the next-gen games are built to make use of SSD technology, running them off an HDD isn't feasible. I wonder if it will be possible to store games on an HDD when you're not playing them and transfer them to the SSD later so that you don't have to download them again. It's a common thing for PC players to do.
  18. It's great business for Brentford. I think they only paid a couple of million pounds for him three years ago.
  19. Is there a specific numerical goal you're aiming for in the long term? A streamer can join someone else's feed, taking everyone who was watching their own stream with them. Perhaps you could compare it to the time Shane McMahon appeared on Nitro. It's all very new to me too.
  20. Something to bear in mind is that the SSD on the Series S is only 512GB, compared with the 1TB SSD on the Series X. That just means you'd have to be more proactive in deleting games you're not actively playing.
  21. I'm surprised Theme Park World still hasn't been made available at GOG because the original has been on there for years. Maybe there's a licensing issue of some sort.
  22. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is coming to Switch. It's being published by Frontier Games, who presumably couldn't get Planet Coaster to run on the Switch hardware. If it isn't too expensive, I'll be interested.
