  1. I'm sure they're probably desperate to get the game out by Christmas, but I'd much rather they took more time to allow those working on the game to finish it without nearly killing themselves with the crunch process. To them, the human cost is presumably worth the Christmas income, but it isn't to me as a consumer.
  2. As I have no horse in this race, I'll just hope that we see as many non-league teams reach the third round as possible. It's just unfortunate that away ties against big Premier League opposition won't be the money-spinners they would have been with fans in attendance.
  3. I think I'd have chosen Midlife Crisis over Epic as well, but I can't argue with Epic's popularity or influence. I only first heard Getting Away With It a couple of years ago. It's a good song that slipped under my radar for a long time.
  4. That's one of the few instances in which crowd silence seems appropriate.
  5. As pointed out on the BBC site, of the other five teams in the current top six, Liverpool have played four.
  6. As they used to say in the eighties, "Are you watching, Manchester?"

    South Park

How could it possibly still be topical?
  8. Notts County have pulled out of the FA Cup because several of their players have tested positive for COVID. All your teams are safe for this year.
  9. It's a bit of a ghost town, so it has that going for it. That said, it's only a 64-player game. I suppose the question is still relevant, though.
  10. There's a Pac-Man battle royale game coming. Unfortunately, it's only on Stadia to start with, but it's bound to come to other platforms at some point in the future.
  11. I find this interesting because Notts County's home games have been streamed for £12 and they've been getting about 2,500 viewers. The major difference is that the money goes straight to the club, rather than filtering through the Sky Sports web.
  12. I can't believe that no UK channel has picked the fight up.
  13. I still really hope for a Let's Go version of Gold and Silver.
  14. The clocks aren't even going back this weekend.
  15. Seems sensible to me. Even Sony has been moving towards bringing its exclusives to PC, while all Microsoft-published games will be on PC too. There will inevitably be some games that end up on consoles, but not PC, but I can't see anything major until 2021 at least. I actually think each console is most appealing to people who owned the opposite company's machine during this generation. PS4 owners moving to a Series X will get access to a huge library of backwards compatible games with a Game Pass subscription, while Xbox One users can buy a PS Plus subscription and get access to 18 big PS4 games, most of which are exclusives.
  16. Graham Alexander has been sacked by Salford with the team in fifth place in League Two. He's been temporarily replaced by Paul Scholes. This is why people aren't so keen on Class of '92 FC.
  17. As I said in the OOTP thread, I'd love it if they added some non-football incidents that could affect your players. Recently, I saw a player sidelined for over a year because their wife hit them with a frying pan. If domestic violence is beyond the pale, there are milder events, such as your player becoming slightly demoralised because their rap album sold badly. We recently had Marcus Rashford getting involved in social issues, so maybe that sort of thing could be included - just some little things that boost players' standing within the local community or affect their fitness and morale.
  18. This is how I feel about "loot" games in general, whether they're MMOs, dungeon crawlers or whatever else. I don't doubt that WOW and Diablo are great at what they set out to do, but it's never going to be my cup of tea.
  19. I was only able to catch the first twenty minutes of the England match. I thought Belgium would end up winning by two or three goals, so I was very surprised to read about a 2-1 victory for England. On paper, it's a great result, although you'd still expect Belgium to win the return fixture.
  20. Nadal has won his 13th French Open and equalled Federer's record of twenty Grand Slam singles titles.
  21. I remember when the Xbox 360 came out and it could stand vertically. I was always too worried about knocking it over to do that because it didn't have any kind of stand.
  22. If they beat Serbia, that is. EDIT: I missed the joke. Silly me.
  23. Scotland are through, but the Republic are out. Northern Ireland are through as well. There's still the possibility of all four home nations appearing in the tournament.
  24. It's all looking tight for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. It's looking as though Scotland will have their first ever penalty shootout, and the other two will probably face shootouts too.
