  1. Apparently, it works quite well. The developers took a lot of time to retool everything to be more console-friendly.
  2. Tetris Effect was a very nice game on PS4, but it was a bit expensive for what it was. With that in mind, it strikes me as an excellent Game Pass game.
  3. It's a bit crap that Xbox Live being down stops people from playing their games entirely. Is this going to be an always-online console? I can't remember that ever being mentioned.
  4. Take-Two have purchased Codemasters for nearly $1 billion. Prepare for the F1 games to have more microtransactions.
  5. Good news. Did you have any luck with Amazon support? They ought to give you some store credit at least.
  6. What do you all think you'll play first on your new machines?
  7. Racing at Hanoi in this year's F1 game might end up being a unique experience. Based solely on that, it probably wouldn't have made for much of an exciting race. It feels like another Monaco.
  8. Good to see that there will definitely be non-league representation in the third round. It's sad that any potential away ties at big clubs will have to be without fans, though.
  9. Good news for Game Pass owners getting the new consoles tomorrow: Planet Coaster will now be one of the Game Pass launch games. In less spectacular, but still welcome news, Game Pass subscribers will also get a free 30-day Disney Plus trial.
  10. What do you think the difference between last season and this season has been? Were they overachieving last season or has something major changed within the squad?
  11. The remastered trilogy has finally been announced. It's slated for a Spring 2021 release on PC, Xbox One and PS4, with enhancements for Xbox Series X and PS5. I must say that I'd like a Switch version more than anything else, but you can't have everything. Bioware also announced that they're working on a new Mass Effect game, but with no estimated release window announced. Given that they're developing Dragon Age 4, as well as adding bits and pieces to Anthem and Star Wars: The Old Republic, I wouldn't expect it to be anywhere close to being shown off.
  12. Oh, I got it on Switch for something like £1.99. How good is it?
  13. Golf Story is good. I'm looking forward to Sports Story, whenever that comes out.
  14. Wow. I never thought I'd see the day.
  15. I don't have it myself, but I've read that crashing is a common issue. There's supposed to be a patch on the way to fix it at an as-yet unannounced time.
  16. If you get a year of EA Play now, it should convert into four months of Game Pass Ultimate automatically on 10th November.
  17. You don't get EA Play with it, though.
  18. I wasn't really all that interested in it, but I am now that I'll be getting it as part of a subscription anyway. If I don't like it, nothing's lost.
  19. Jedi: Fallen Order joins EA Play on 10th November, which means that Game Pass Ultimate users will be able to play it on that day too.
  20. I like GOG a lot. Having DRM-free games is always going to be preferable to anything else. If Galaxy is causing problems, just download the games without it. All you miss out on are achievements and automatic updates, which are only needed for new games. You can still update them manually.
  21. That's very different to my ending.
  22. It's grid-based, so I don't think it will be a problem. Keyboard and mouse work best, obviously, but the XCOM games worked well enough on consoles.
  23. Have you played Until Dawn? It's made by the same developers. It's what I'd call a good Game Pass game. It's not brilliantly executed most of the time, but it's quite short and it's interesting to see how your choices play out. In that sense, it's like Heavy Rain, but without the mundanity of some sections. I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it, but it's fine as a Game Pass download or discounted sale purchase.
