  1. I wonder how much of a factor Liverpool fans voting en masse for Henderson will be. When Ryan Giggs was (much less deservedly) nominated in 2009, he won because Man United fans voted in such large numbers. Surprisingly few footballers have won the award, and, Giggs excepted, they've all been for accomplishments at international level for England.
  2. Losing to Russell would be particularly bad news for Bottas. I know he's under contract for next season, but not beating a stand-in driver would be a bad look indeed.
  3. Bingham's gone as well. That's all three reigning Triple Crown champions out in the early stages. Also, Ronnie O'Sullivan has been nominated for Sports Personality of the Year. It's the first time he's ever made the shortlist, which is quite remarkable. I'd say he's the worst option, but Tyson Fury's on there too.
  4. It does indeed. As expected, Control will be coming to Game Pass this Thursday. Dragon Quest XI is also on there the following day. In other Game Pass-related news, a leak has suggested that the PC version of EA Play will be coming to the service on 15th December. I was quite keen on trying the Command and Conquer games again, so that would be welcome.
  5. I just like the more laidback nature of playing against the computer. I never have to worry about letting my side down or disconnecting.
  6. With EA Play now part of Game Pass, I downloaded Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to try out. I found out it has multiplayer bots, so I can now happily play it offline without having to worry about all the crap that comes with online play. Almost all multiplayer games used to have that option, so it's nice to see it in a modern game.
  7. Blackburn and Doncaster in an EWB derby.
  8. The worst part of the Brumak battle for me was when one of my soldiers got backed into a corner. It was under overwatch from two enemies and the Brumak was right next to it, so moving meant getting obliterated.
  9. That's almost certainly the hardest bit of the main game.
  10. Marine are through as well. It'd be just their luck if they got an away game against a big club at a time when crowds weren't allowed in.
  11. Ding and O'Sullivan are already out of the UK Championship.
  12. I didn't realise Waterfalls was as old as that. I must be misremembering when I first heard it.
  13. I think I agree. I didn't see much for the likes of Usyk, Fury, Joshua or even Wilder to fear. At the age of 35, he's probably not going to make great strides to improve either. I also think that people are being harsh on Dubois for quitting. Taking a knee once he suffered the eye injury was wise, in my opinion. Fighting with one eye is never a good idea, and we've seen recently how a similar injury helped derail Kell Brook's career. Saving yourself from long-term damage in exchange for a defeat as a 23-year-old is the best move to make.
  14. They really ought to release a full cut of the films with Prowse's voice intact. That would be great. He was also known in the UK as the Green Cross Code Man, and his voice was dubbed over in those adverts as well. The Green Cross Code Man - 1976 David Prowse (Darth Vader) - 60fps 1080p - YouTube
  15. Obscure trivia time: Man City have become the first team since Notts County in 1907 to record four consecutive home victories over the same opponent by a margin of five or more goals.
  16. A lot of people might be more interested in the Tyson/Jones Jr. fight, but there's also a potentially great match between Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce tonight. Both are undefeated British heavyweight prospects, Joyce winning a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics, and it's quite surprising that they're fighting each other at this stage of their careers. The winner could well be right in the world title picture. It's on BT Sport, but it isn't a Pay-Per-View.
  17. I think the PS5 remote has dedicated buttons for some streaming services. I suppose it's for people who want to save those precious seconds of their day. Really, the only console a media remote seemed necessary for was the first Xbox, and that was because it came as part of the strange DVD Playback Kit add-on it had.
  18. I've heard people talk about cheating England out of a World Cup Final place before. The incident happened in a quarter-final and there's no guarantee that England would have won in extra time anyway. At least it's not as bad as the claim that Cristiano Ronaldo cost England the World Cup in 2006, though.
  19. He had many problems. but he was remarkable in his prime.
  20. It looks as though acclaimed nineties music has very little for me.
  21. I just love making my soldiers' armour and weapons nice and colourful.
  22. Gears Tactics' biggest problem is its lack of mission variety. That said, the actual gameplay is really fun. I've played through the game twice and didn't get bored.
