  1. I remember 3D World being a solid Mario game that didn't really have a new hook to it in the way that Galaxy and later Odyssey did. That's not a problem and I enjoyed it a lot, but I feel as though you could have skipped it and not missed out on anything redefining.
  2. I like the look of Bowser's Fury. It seems to be a blend of Mario and Breath of the Wild.
  3. The developers have stated that their focus is on bringing out new content for existing maps, rather than making new ones.
  4. I got it on the last sale for the Switch. I think it deserves the praise it gets.
  5. Because all the Stardew Valley chat seems to be in here, I'll use this thread to pass on the news that update 1.5 is now out on Switch, Playstation and Xbox.
  6. Some Switch games have big file sizes, mainly the ones that are ports from other systems.
  7. Goalkeeper Sam Slocombe got sent off in the 18th minute of Notts County's match with Dagenham and Redbridge tonight, and there wasn't a goalkeeper on the bench. Veteran midfielder Michael Doyle spent the rest of the match in goal and was only robbed of a clean sheet in stoppage time. Notts won 3-1. Amazing.
  8. Channel 4 is bringing back Games Master. I can't see it making much of a splash in today's world of Youtube and Twitch, and there isn't Patrick Moore to save it.
  9. Does the MVP still go to Disneyland or do they have to settle for a socially distanced Skype call with a costumed mascot?
  10. This is all a bit of a joke. You've got people wearing masks and still hugging and kissing other people and shaking their hands.
  11. My main reactions to this match are thinking how impressive it is to still be on top of a physical sport at the age of 43 and wondering how many people will get ill over the next few weeks.
  12. They don't seem to be using Mambo No. 5 as the theme tune. Shame.
  13. I predicted that Liverpool would finish outside the top two and nobody agreed with me. I may be in line for a rare accurate guess.
  14. It's mad that he got away on more than one occasion with admitting to some of his crimes. It seems that people brushed his comments off as the attention-seeking ramblings of a goth shock jock.
  15. Quite a few people on here are fans of Yakuza. I'm one of them, although I've only played 0 and Kiwami so far.
  16. Those sections were a bit of a pain. I never had as much of a problem with the first Mass Effect's gameplay as some other people did, but it's still nice to see that it's being given a touch-up. It's also interesting to read that they're altering Mass Effect 3's "Galactic Readiness" system to compensate for the lack of online multiplayer. That's welcome news in my book.
  17. Boxing is a sleazy business, so I wouldn't be surprised if it all got swept under the rug. It's a sport that took a convicted rapist in Mike Tyson, branded him the "baddest man on the planet" and made even more millions out of him. More recently, large sections of the media were happy to dismiss Floyd Mayweather's domestic abuse charges as "scuffles" because he was the sport's biggest cash cow. Daniel Kinahan should be nowhere near a sport that wants a clean image, but combat sports so often get off the hook for involving criminals that resistance will probably be meekly defeated.
  18. Only one away from avoiding Derby's record now. Their win total has already been eclipsed.
  19. Pinnacle Station wasn't very good anyway, so I wouldn't miss it. This sounds as if it could be a good package. Let's hope it works properly.
  20. The Prodigy seem to have a big following across a range of musical tastes. They would play the V and Download Festivals in the same year without anyone batting an eyelid. Would Eminem count? I've come across a lot of people who say that they dislike rap, but like his music.
  21. It all depends on the money, you'd think. Even before the pandemic, a lot of the talk was of a Saudi fight. If they get enough money, promoters like Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn won't care about crowds.
  22. And the Switch has a far bigger library of games, as long as you don't count backwards compatibility.
  23. It's such a shame that the shady business of boxing, couple with a global pandemic, mean that it's taking place in Saudi Arabia. Having it at Wembley Stadium would have made for one of the biggest sporting occasions in British history.
  24. Part of Sony's new publishing deal with the MLB stated that the game had to come to platforms other than Playstation. That means that we've got the unprecedented case of a Sony-published game coming out on a Microsoft console.
