  1. I can't say I've ever rented or bought a film on a console. It never seemed like good value for money.
  2. Doncaster seem to be developing a track record of losing managers to other Yorkshire clubs. Is Butler officially a player-manager? Will he still be leading the Belles?
  3. I'm not a fan of most of Eminem's work, but Stan definitely packs a punch. It's a great example of how mixing rap with more melodious vocals can work to serve up something greater than the sum of its parts. Really, though, my favourite memory of the song was that it was beaten to Christmas Number 1 in the UK by Bob the Builder.
  4. The FA Trophy has now paid host to two of the best Notts County goals I've ever seen.
  5. England might as well give every team they play a 15-point head start for all the penalties they give away needlessly.
  6. England are shocking at the moment.
  7. Very much a 50/50 game between Wales and England today, I think. England arguably have more quality players available, but they're also very error-prone and poorly disciplined at the moment. On current form, Wales should have a good chance.
  8. The Knight of the Laughing Tree.
  9. Jamaica could have a really solid squad if everyone eligible to play for them did so.
  10. It looks like it. PS4 owners of the game get a free upgrade, so it's at least something I'd already have if I picked up a PS5 years from now.
  11. Nothing special. Everything shown had already been announced, and the vast majority of them will be on PS4 as well. There was no word on PS5 stock. With processors being scarce, they're likely to be difficult to find for a good few months at least.
  12. There's a Pokemon showcase tomorrow. It will last about 20 minutes. Let's hope it's not another free-to-play MOBA.
  13. If nothing else, the Cyberpunk development saga should make for a good documentary.
  14. I've seen all of those ones. Either I only settle for the finest or I'm a bandwagon jumper. Better Call Saul was my top pick. I thought the most recent run of episodes was superb in a way that produced surprises that were well set up and have me excited for the final series. It's a shame we're going to have to wait a while. I think The Mandalorian is a solid show, but I wouldn't say I was as blown away by it as some people were. I'm sure I'd have loved it as a child, though. I can't begrudge The Good Place top spot. It's a show that has such a pleasant vibe, with what I saw as a positive set of messages throughout. While it's sad it ended, I'm glad they bowed out so strongly.
  15. The recent Tony Hawk remasters are coming to Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Next-gen upgrades will cost $10 unless you own the digital deluxe version because Activision is so strapped for cash after paying no tax.
  16. I hope it gets supported well and is reasonably affordable. I'd be all over the Oculus Quest 2 if it didn't have mandatory Facebook integration, and many others feel the same way, so there's definitely a gap in the market to fill. Having said that, I'm not likely to get a PS5 in the near future, so there's a limit to how excited I can get.
  17. I wouldn't have guessed that Surfacing would be the Slipknot song that made it on the list. I enjoy Slipknot, partly because I've never been part of a "scene" and don't associate them with embarrassing teenage dress styles. I've always found the middle-class "Oh, woe is me" culture that some nu-metal encourages a bit silly, and Slipknot falls into that category, but I like the music more than the lyrics or life attitudes associated with them. They put on a good live show, at any rate.
  18. I've been tempted to try Long War, but I reckon I'd get absolutely smashed almost immediately.
  19. I think it can be, particularly if you're talking about games that are heavily story-driven. I think Bioshock is too long because, after a big reveal, there's a rather tedious fetch quest section before the final boss. I'd say the same thing about the Final Fantasy VII Remake, which has some great parts padded out with laborious filler. The Last of Us Part 2 also felt a bit artificially prolonged to me. Like a film or book, certain games can outstay their welcome. I'd much rather play a three-hour game that's packed with fun than a forty-hour game that consists of twenty hours of mindless grinding or busywork.
  20. I've seen two out of three of those shows. What We Do in the Shadows continues to be funny and Bojack was excellent again. It deserves all the plaudits it gets, in my opinion.
  21. I've seen a few people say it's too long.
  22. Novak Djokovic is a ridiculously good player.
