  1. I feel as though Rhian Brewster has been a youth player for a million years.
  2. Undertale is also coming to Game Pass on consoles tomorrow. Meanwhile, five of the newly added Bethesda games (Dishonored: Definitive Edition, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and Prey) will be patched to run at 60fps on Series X and S today.
  3. That's quite a big announcement. The demo was downloaded and played by a lot of people. I wasn't really interested in it, but there's no reason for me not to try it out now.
  4. England has been chosen as the host for the 2030 World Cup in my save, so I thought I would take a look at the stadiums. Some of the new grounds created for the competition are a little strange. There's Michael Owen Park in Southampton, Terry Butcher Arena in Leeds, Geoff Hurst Park in Sheffield and David Platt Arena in Wolverhampton. Leicester and Nottingham each have a dully named "Community Stadium", both of which have only 500 seats greater than the expansion capacities of both the King Power Stadium and The City Ground. It's the same situation in the aforementioned cities as well. Boris Johnson must still the Prime Minister.
  5. You can find the Series S on eBay in the UK for only around £30 above the regular price. I don't know what the situation is elsewhere. The Series X is still at the mercy of scalpers, though. I wonder if the talk about rare PS5 consoles is more prominent because there's more consumer demand for them than the new Xboxes. The Playstation fanbase is quite a bit bigger at the moment and there will also be people who play Microsoft-published games on PC. Microsoft seems to be pushing Game Pass as its premier product, with the consoles being a couple out of a few ways of accessing it. Meanwhile, Sony is pursuing the traditional business model of selling consoles as the one and only way of playing games from the studios it owns.
  6. I can't think of a more enthusiastic and fun British sports commentator. Even though he retired from full-time commentary twenty years ago, his is still the voice I hear when I think of motor racing.
  7. What a match. England were a lot better than they had been in the last three games. I still think France will develop into an excellent team in the build-up to the 2023 World Cup, but even now, beating them is nothing to be scoffed at.
  8. This could be a squash match.
  9. It's the original. Redux is £2.99 or $3.99.
  10. Sheffield United may be doing badly now, but Wilder has a great record in recent years. He's got teams promoted from every league from the National League upwards. I'd have thought that he's exactly the person you'd want to take you back up.
  11. I actually benefited from that quirk by signing him. It's great if you're playing as anyone other than Dortmund.
  12. Most of the upcoming PS5 games are still coming to PS4.
  13. Also, twenty Bethesda games are coming to Game Pass tomorrow.
  14. Phil Spencer has confirmed that Microsoft will fulfil its contractual obligations to other platforms regarding Bethesda games, but moving forward, they're likely to be exclusive to Game pass platforms i.e. Xbox and PC.
  15. It's mad to think that 3D All-Stars will no longer be sold in just over three weeks.
  16. You could say that about a fair few franchises really. Final Fantasy XVI is only going to be on PS5 and PC, and Final Fantasy VII Remake is still a Playstation exclusive. They'd obviously sell more copies if they brought those games to Xbox as well, but Sony presumably handed over enough cash to make it worth Square Enix's while. If you're looking at first-party games, Sony would make more money on game sales if they made the next God of War multi-platform, but exclusivity is also a big part of their marketing strategy. At this point, I genuinely think that Microsoft hasn't made any firm decisions. With Starfield being Bethesda Softworks' main focus right now, the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout games are probably a few years away at least, and there are games coming in the near future, such as Arkane's Deathloop, which will remain a PS5 timed exclusive as part of a previous agreement. We don't know for certain what the other studios are working on and how close they are to completion. Personally, I'm all for games being available to as many people as possible. Give me Ratchet and Clank on PC day and date and likewise for Halo Infinite on the PS5. Exclusivity is ultimately anti-consumer, but it's an understandable part of claiming market share.
  17. It seems as though Microsoft isn't ready to commit to a fully specific approach. Starfield is supposed to be quite far into its development process, which has presumably included a lot of work on a Playstation version, so it might not make sense to make that an exclusive games. Projects in their earlier stages might be a different matter, but I imagine it will depend significantly on how the landscape of the so-called console wars looks over the next few years.
  18. Microsoft's Bethesda acquisition has been officially completed. It's been confirmed that "some" upcoming Bethesda games will only come to Xbox and PC, while some more games from the Bethesda library will be joining Game Pass this week.
  19. Galaxy is excellent, but Odyssey surpassed it for me. I think getting rid of the lives system was a good idea.
  20. But then how will they get enough heel heat to lead to the No DQ rematch?
  21. Something that puts me off Bravely Default 2 is that it's supposed to be very grindy.
  22. This is coming to Game Pass tomorrow, both for PC and Xbox.
  23. I seem to remember getting the Final Fantasy film after the hack. I didn't count that as a purchase, though.
