  1. As someone who is always looking to try new bands and new music, it occured to me today that it would be good to have a topic where each person would pick a band and recommend five or so songs that they really like from that artist to get us started with an explanation on why you chose each song. Nobody would do a band that had already been done, unless their opinions on the song choices were drastically different.

I know it'd be helpful to me, because I always hear about bands I wanna try but it's hard to get started with them. Sometimes you kind of have to start at a certain point to like a band's other material, and peer to peer programs aren't always helpful with that.

So, with that, the songs should probably be five that you think would provide the best introduction as to what the band sounds like. If they have various sounds, you should include a song that showcases each. If this works, hopefully after awhile we'd have an impressive recommendations list.

    Iunno, it's worth a try.

  2. Lost by far. I like 24, but i've never been really into it. It's just a nice show to watch for me. If I were to miss a week (which I wouldn't, DVR is awesome), I would not care.

  6. My only other criticism is the order the songs are in if you're listening to the album all the way through. It has a lot more variety than other PJ albums and they failed to make it flow. The change in pace from song to song can be annoying.

  7. There's actually a lot more range than one would probably expect. There are a few songs like WWS; Big Wave and Comatose come to mind. Contrastingly, Parachutes and Army Reserve are very slow and relaxing, so it's a very satisfying mixed bag for me. Though, I would say Vedder's voice sounds a bit off from previous PJ albums throughout, especially when he yells, but I like it. It's just different.
