  1. Audioslave. But that really depends on who you ask. Diehard Soundgarden fans all seem to think 'Adioslave si siht!!!11! Wh4t happned to Cronlel?!?!', at least at all the music message boards I've been on. However, the only reason I really prefer Soundgarden is because the selection is so much wider, what with Audioslave having one CD, a few demos, and some live covers. TBH, where I live Rock music in general falls under this category. Not just Metal, but any Rock music that doesn't play on the radio is deemed 'goth' where I live, and people seriously hate the stereotypical 'goth'. I don't really understand it, by the time I left highschool most of my friends were what people called goths, because they're the only cool/open-minded/good-music-liking people that live around me. :\ Everybody else is in to rap, and they're all racists, too. It's really strange.
  2. Since I've been without TV for so long, the last thing I can remember getting me teary eyed was Wrestlemania, when Benoit countered the Pedigree and made 3H tap out. I don't know why, but I was jumping up and down and cheering and my eyes were all blurry because they were watering. I haven't marked out like that in a LONG time.
  3. Their song "Let Me Out" keeps playing on my Yahoo! Launch. I was wondering what you guys thought about the song/the band. I like the song, it kind of sounds like a cross between Axl Rose and Kurt Cobain, both of whom I like. I've never heard anything else from them, though.
  4. I don't think I've seen Stephen Lynch's, but Demetri Martin's CCP is better than Carr's. When did he (Martin, that is) do that, and does he have a DVD or anything like that? EDIT - Is Stephen Lynch one of the other ones they aired on Friday night? By any chance is he (and I mean no offense in saying this, it's the only way I can describe him) the bald homosexual from Texas? If so, then I didn't really care for it. It was okay, but nothing special.
  5. I watched this last night, and it's one of the funniest standup specials I've ever seen. I may be biased because it's one of about four I've watched since getting cable back, so my expectations could be low. I'm just wondering what you guys thought of it? It's being repeated on Comedy Central for me right now.
  6. Let's all open up a Cornell fan-site. I'd do the layout.
  7. To be honest, Black Hole Sun sounds a bit different than most other Soundgarden stuff. I can reccomend my top five favorites from Chris Cornell: five from Soundgarden, five from Audioslave, and five from Cornell's solo stuff. If you liked anything from Cornell, I swear this stuff grows on you. I didn't like Cornell at first, but now -- well, let's just say my Audioslave t-shirt makes me look quite sexy. -Soundgarden - Pretty Noose -Soundgarden - Blow Up The Outside World -Soundgarden - Just Like Suicide -Soundgarden - Limo Wreck [My Favorite] -Soundgarden - Fell On Black Days -Audioslave - Shadow On The Sun [My Favorite] -Audioslave - Exploder -Audioslave - Show Me How To Live -Audioslave - We Got The Whip (We Got A Better Bomb) -Audioslave - What You Are -Chris Cornell - Can't Change Me -Chris Cornell - Steel Rain -Chris Cornell - Preaching The End Of The World [My Favorite] -Chris Cornell - Sweet Euphoria -Chris Cornell - Flutter Girl EDIT - And Kaney, your Soundgarden obsession makes me hot. Hit me up on MSN (vegetos@gmail.com) some time if you don't mind, because I need to know some more good songs from Cornell.
  8. If you still like wrestling, get Day of Reckoning. I got it recently -- well, yesterday, and it rocks. Mario Kart and Mario Party are both great multiplayer games, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life and Animal Crossing are great, and the upcoming Zelda and Harvest Moon Gamecube games seem excellent.
  9. Thank you, Fitzy. In retrospect, I think I'm pretty fucking stupid for not finding the track list for the movie soundtrack myself.
  10. I need help with a song I heard in the movie "Road Trip," the one with Tom Green, Seann William Scott, and those other guys. Anyways, it's the first song in the end credits, and it says "I'll give you candy, give you diamonds, give you pills, give you anything you want, hundred dollar bills." I think the title is "Anything, Anything." But the problem is, who sings it? On LetsSingIt.com, I searched and found "Anything, Anything" by a band called DramRama and a band called Buckcherry. And then I found a song called "80's music" by Peter Frampton, which seems like a shorter version of the song in the movie. Who sung the song in the movie? I like it.
  11. In order: Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Solo Work, Audioslave collectively in that order...) Alice In Chains Incubus Red Hot Chilli Peppers The White Stripes Stone Temple Pilots Rage Against The Machine Black Sabbath Pearl Jam Killswitch Engaged Mentions also go out to, in absolutely no order, SOAD, Johnny Cash, Nirvana, Eminem (when he's being serious), and the Rolling Stones.
  12. -Objective: Make a graphic based around your favorite song. For example, if my favorite song is Soundgarden's 'Pretty Noose' my graphic would be dark and grim, perhaps with a picture of a noose/someone being hanged in it. -Size: Anything between 300x300 and 650x650. -Rules: Must meet size requirements; must have a border; must go with the song; some of the lyrics must be written somewhere in/on the graphic; must have a title written on it, and the title must be the title of the song. I love these rules. If you use them, have fun.
  13. Yeah, I've always liked what I've heard from Rage Against The Machine, which is about five songs. I have 'Guerilla Radio' and 'Know Your Enemy', and I want more. So, yeah, give me some reccomendations.
  14. I've got the whole CD. I like the stuff you listed, but "Can't Change Me" is my favorite song on the album.
  15. *looks at my sig and avatar* George, I think it goes without saying, but I second your opinion. I've gotten into Cornell more and more in the last two months, and I've grown to find that the stuff I used to praise hasn't got ANYTHING on him. My top three tracks from him are probably 'Just Like Suicide' from his Soundgarden days, 'Shadow on the Sun' from the Audioslave debut CD, and 'Can't Change Me' (the English version ) from Euphoria Morning.
  16. My favorite skit ever was on SNL, staring Will Ferrell. He was playing a nude model for a sculpting class. It's the one where he said, "Oh, this is a test? Hey, I took a hepititus (sp?) test the other day -- I got an A, a B, and two C's." Bwahahaha.
