  1. I've never really bothered much with King. However, after I read that Eli Roth (who I mark for) would be adapting King's semi-recent zombie novel Cell, I read it and loved it. So yeah, I suggest Cell. >_>
  2. Personally, I think most of the text, Cobain's name being the exception, looks okay. However, I don't like the capital 'A' at the start. The lowercase one looks better. And Cobain's name should probably have a different font, as well as no bevel or glow. A grunge border would suit it well, I think. And maybe blend a few (more?) grunge effects in over his face, but not so much that it's overkill.
  3. Yeah, the commercial said something about the "bathroom being your child's playground", and uh, at the end there was white text on the screen saying "lose the grime" or something similar. As far as I know, it's a pretty recent commercial. Anyways, as the topic title says, can anybody whose seen this commercial tell me what the song in the background was? I liked the sound but couldn't make out any lyrics to go on. Uh, fuck. Commercial*.
  4. Yeah. Can anybody hit me up with what they feel is generally the best freeware Pacman port? It doesn't have to be a direct port of the original game by any means, but I'd prefer something fun and hopefully something with a level editor or the like, for replay value.

  7. I don't know about a font, but if you want a relatively high res version of the logo that you can put in there, here's a pretty clean JPEG of it. http://www.pcgames.de/screenshots/original/ea-sports.jpg
  8. That song "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin. The song really isn't that good (Breaking Benjamin are uh, not that great), but if you're wanting something to suit a long entrance where there's delay before the worker comes out, there's a good minute or so of it at the start of this. And the lyrics work, I think. Although I haven't heard the song in nearly a year. EDIT - "Cochise" by Audioslave would probably work well. With the uh, "helocopter" style sound at the start for 25 seconds or so.
  9. I really hope this isn't true. Audioslave are one of my favorites. Euphoria Morning was godly, but I can't help but feel that another Cornell solo would be the musical equivalent of WWECW, becuase his voice now is nowhere near what it was then. It's a lot more raspy. What with drugs and aging and all that. But Rage playing in the background makes that voice work excellently. If he tries to do something like most of the stuff on Euphoria Morning, it would probably sound really, really subpar. If that makes any sense. But then again, Cornell at half of his best is better than most people in their peak, so I'll suppor thim either way.
  10. I remember an old game for the Genesis (Master System for you Brits, I believe?) that I used to play a lot. The main character was this little ball (or maybe a star, or some combination of the two), and the objective was that each level had a bunch of tiles on the floor, and your goal was to have the main character move across each side of each square in the level, and when every side of every square had been outlined, the level was over. The levels of course had their own little bad guys and such, and each level got progressively more difficult. I know that discription is like... horribly vague, but I only owned the game for a few weeks.
  11. That little mess up in the corner caught my eye. Figured I'd bring it to your attention. It may just be something I can see because I keep my brightness so high, but meh. Anyways, good stuff. The texture used for the sun bothers me a bit, though. It just looks a little too uh... hard. I can't explain it. But the rest are top notch.
  12. If you're using Photoshop, you have to specifically request that it have transparency on one of the little menus that pops up when you try to save it as a .gif. However, transparent .png files are much better. They allow for you to have much higher quality images with transparency than transparent .gif files do, however, they only work in the more uh... quality web browsers (Internet Explorer not included).
  13. The Exorcist. There's Something About Mary. Goodfellas. Taxi Driver. Full Metal Jacket. The Naked Gun. Dracula (the original). House of Dracula. House on Haunted Hill (the original). The Last Man On Earth.
  14. Yeah, I didn't notice the flame on the render until you guys brought it up. How is it now?
  15. Yeah. I was going for one of those, uh, "trendy" signatures, like the ones you see on those GFX messageboards. Not really sure how I did. It's okay, I think.
  16. Yeah, I'm looking for some music suggestions, particularly grunge. And by "grunge", I mean grunge that isn't by any of the succesful, famous Grunge artists. I want to try some stuff considered grunge that isn't by Soundgarden, Alice, Pearl Jam, STP, or Nirvana, basically. Some "post-grunge" is okay, too, I guess. Stuff like Candlebox or maybe Fuel. But mostly stuff that actually came from the grunge era, if that makes sense.
  17. Okay, I bought an acoustic guitar from eBay recently, and it arrived today. Since I've pretty much mastered the opening riff to "Come As You Are" and "Smoke on the Water", seemingly the two most widely played "newbie" songs, what are some other simple songs that are worth getting tabs of and practicing for a total newbie? If it helps, my favorite artists are Audioslave, Soundgarden, RHCP, Tool, A Perfect Circle, the White Stripes, Jeff Buckley, Jason Mraz, and Jonathan Richman. Something easy from any of the aforementioned would be awesome, although I'd imagine a lot of their work is WAY above what I can do at this point.
  18. I've always found Radiohead to have really... interesting lyrics. But the obvious choice here is those shit "shock tactic" lyric bands like Cannibal Corpse.
