  1. 300. Sergent York: What do war and turkey shoots have in common? In one of his best turns, Gary Cooper plays a drafted pacifist drafted who becomes an American hero when he single-handedly captures an enemy position using common hunting tactics. It's inspired by a true story, and truly inspiring. Patton: The most complete and fascinating biopic in the military movie ranks (yes, it bests 'Major Payne'), it's an unforgettable journey through the eyes of General Patton (George C. Scott), a man who lived for war. Scott would've made Patton proud by refusing that horse-dung Oscar. Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima: Both films are by Clint Eastwood and both are to be watched back to back as they tell the story of Pearl Harbor from each countries perspective. The Longest Day: John Wayne at his finest. Glory: The Civil War. Fucking great movie. Braveheart: Sugartits. Das Boat. Apocalypse Now: I love the smell of Napalm in the morning.
  2. sure it wasn't Maylene as in Michelle Maylene ^_^ That would be her. Fucking sexy as hell.
  3. PIllar are fucking awesome in concert.
  4. I took Miami. Miami will be listening for offers for their round one pick.
  5. Tampa Bay doesn't need Peppers we have White and Adams who combined for 13 sacks. With it both being their first years in the NFL (White played arena for the past five years I beleive. He was drafted in one NFL draft but was cut during training camp.) Not bad at all for their first year and they are going to be better this year. If anything we need to beef up or DTs. I'm looking for Tampa Bay to take a receiver in the first round either it being Limas Sweed or Deshean Jackson.
  6. So what is the winner of this little thing getting? Maybe "mod for a day"
  7. Britney Spears cover of "I love Rock and Roll" sucked..
  8. North Carolina vs. Memphis for the championship..
  9. I figured maybe we could use this thread for hyping upcoming movies or new television shows. Of course, major movie news would still get their own thread. 300 and One? More Spartans on Horizon With 300’s epic bloodbath matched only by its own epic gross, it should come as no surprise that the studios want to get working on a sequel. Producer Mark Canton was all smiles and winks when talking about 300 and expressed a strong interest in working with director Zack Snyder again. Canton seemed to imply that all they were waiting for was the thumbs up from Warner Bros. which can’t be all that far off. Most assuredly Frank Miller and Zack Snyder would be courted and lured back for this story or the flick would most assuredly suffer. No news on what the story would entail, what battles it would cover, or when it would take place, or with who. Sparta was a dominate player for a fairly long period of war and faced off against both the Persians and other Greek states. The sequel could chronologically move forward to either the Battle of Platea (pictured briefly at the end of the film) where the Spartans, at full force, crushed the Persians. The Spartans also played a large role in the Peloponnesian War and even went against, and defeated Athens, on land and at sea. Source: Film School Rejects
  10. I present Wendy from the Wonder Years HOLY SHIT!
  11. Anybody see that Jenna Jameson's Next American Sex Star? There was a girl on there with the last name of Mabelyne, don't remember the first. She was only 18 and she was half french and half asian. Fucking sexy as hell.
  12. He was being aired on FOX or ABC doing American restaurants but I only ever saw three episodes and I don't know if they canceled it or what.
  13. The main gripe I have about Davis is the shit he tried to pull on Lane Kiffin this year. Did you not forget, DMN, that he basically tried to force Kiffin to resign? He drew up the resignation himself.
  14. Food Network is awesome, but I've recently discovered the travel channel and the fucking awesomeness that is Bizzare foods with Andrew Zimmerman and No Reservations with Antony Bordaine. Not to mention the fucking greatest thing ever, Ramsay Gordon's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC.
  15. He quit halfway through because playing for Detroit is a loss fucking cause. Oh and The Raiders will continue to suck because Al Davis is a twat and needs to just shut the fuck up and write the checks. Owners have no business other than that.
  16. Nice little fact for you. Shaun Rogers can fucking dunk.
  17. » Few people had a busier 48-hour period than agent Drew Rosenhaus, who has negotiated close to $200 million worth of deals. Rosenhaus negotiated a $36 million deal with Chicago for linebacker Lance Briggs, a $35 million deal with Cleveland for receiver Donte Stallworth, a $42 million deal with Minnesota for receiver Bernard Berrain, a $13 million deal with Miami for receiver Ernest Wilford, a $9 million deal with San Diego for quarterback Billy Volek along with other deals for Buffalo defensive tackle Marcus Stroud and Denver defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban. And Rosenhaus isn't done yet. He's still doing deals for Jacksonville defensive end Bobby McCray, Titans guard Jacob Bell, Patriots wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, Eagles defensive end Jevon Kearse, Redskins running back Rock Cartwright, Bears special teamer Brendon Ayanbadejo and Jaguars quarterback Quinn Gray. Somebody's not getting any sleep. --Adam Schefter The Panthers signed former Cleveland free-agent cornerback Ricardo Colclough to a two-year, $4 million contract. The Houston Texans have signed unrestricted free agent cornerback Jacques Reeves, the team announced today. Reeves played the first four years of his career with the Cowboys. Reeves broke into the staring lineup last season appearing in all 16 games with a career-high 13 starts at cornerback. He finished the season with 60 tackles (52 solo) and recorded his first career interception in Week 1 against the New York Giants.
  18. After a busy morning of making deals, the Dolphins signed free-agent QB Josh McCown, who started nine games for the Raiders last year, to a two-year deal, $6.25 million contract Friday afternoon. He could start in Week 1 for Miami. Miami also signed former Jacksonville free-agent wide receiver Ernest Wilford to a four-year, $13 million contract that included a $6 million signing bonus and another $1 million escalator. The Miami Dolphins stormed out of the free-agent gate early Friday, adding yet another young player. The Dolphins reached agreement with former Tennessee defensive tackle Randy Starks on a five-year, $21 million contract that includes $7 million worth of guaranteed money. The best part of Starks might be his upside. He is only 24 years old. The Dolphins also have reached agreement on a trade with the Dallas Cowboys that would reunite DT Jason Ferguson with Parcells and give Miami a new starting defensive tackle tandem for the coming season. Additionally, the Dolphins signed former Jets tight end Sean Ryan to a one-year deal and were expecting a visit from Arizona linebacker Calvin Pace. -- Adam Schefter
  19. Faneca supposedly ran 7 100 yard dashes last year, right down the sideline in front of the media during training camp, and never once breathed through his mouth.. That's fucking scary.
  20. Bruschi resigns with patriots.
