  1. After a fantastic start with Yeovil Town, bringing them to 2nd/3rd in the table, my team decided to hit the self destruct button.

I had Mark Burchill on loan and was doing great, but then his loan expires and he goes back to Portsmouth. Fine. Not only that, two of my other strikers go down injured for 4 weeks. OK, great. I bring in Will Johnson from Blackburn on a season-long loan and he does ok, scoring 3 goals before...I get sacked.

13 games without a win, about 10 or 11 were defeats, I got fed up up. Tried everything I could think of to get my team to win, but no cigar. So, I issue an ultimatum to the board for more transfer fees, but they tell me to stick it and send me packing.

After a month floating around, I get offered the Notts County job. First game is a good 2-0 win, second I believe I lost but I also got FIVE players injured! Bloody bastards...

  2. I will be surprised if either Ledley King or Jermaine Defoe are still at Tottenham come the end of next season. More to the point, I'll be surprised if one or the other doesn't sign for Arsenal at that time.

I can see one going to Chelsea or Man Utd and the other coming to Arsenal. I prefer King at Arsenal, and I can see it happening.

  3. I splashed the cash (about £1.5m) for Jimmy Bullard, and now I can't raise the funds to sign Vanden Borre! I need a measly £780k, but I only have £425k and apparently he becomes a friggin god in the game down the line!

Nobody wants to sign any of Neil Shipperly, Dougie Freedman, Wayne Andrews, Tommy Black, Shaun Derry...none of them! Why dammit why?

  4. I started another new game, this time as Crystal Palace. I'm still in pre-season and I'm trying to raid the Wigan team for players. Tried to get Nathan Ellington but he chose fucking WOLVES over Premiership Palace! Twit. Trying to get Jimmy Bullard and Jason Roberts aswell.

I've managed to get Alexei Smertin on a 3 month loan from Chelski and am trying to bring in Pascal Cygan on a free transfer from Arsenal.

Also, on PES4 I found a guy called Vanden Boore who was 16 and pretty talented. He's slowly becoming amazing with my PES4 Arsenal side so I thought I'd look him up on FM...bloody Real Madrid, Marseille, Barcelona, Arsenal and AC Milan want him!

Oh, can anyone recomend me any CHEAP, decent defenders? I haven't started the season but I know for a fact I'm gonna be leaking goals.

  5. It's a good film if you're gonna watch and not think about any of the facts. Think about it as if it were a completely fictitious film, not based on any facts of myths or whatever and it's really easy to enjoy.

But, if you do start thinking "hey, that's fucking bullshit, Arthur wasn't a Roman" then it can easily stop being enjoyable. I knew it was gonna be a bit of a strange story twist and stuff, but it's a good film methinks.

  6. Well, I've got the following games sitting next to my PS2 which I have still yet to complete...

    The Getaway: Black Monday

    X-Files: Resist or Serve

    X-Men: Legends

    Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon

    RAW vs. SmackDown!

    Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force

    On my PC, I have:

    C&C: Red Alert 2

Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force 2

    Star Trek DS9: The Fallen

Yup, will probably never complete any of them the way I am.

Thunder comes to you from Moscow, Idaho tonight as WCW takes it's final stop before making our way to Portland, Oregon for Road Wild this Sunday!

What a main event Thunder has for you viewers, as all four men that are set to be involved in this Sunday's Elimination Chamber match for the WCW title will be invovled in a big six-man tag team match! Jeff Jarrett will team with nWo members Triple H and the World Heavyweight champion Kevin Nash against Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page and of course, Goldberg. The winner will go into Road Wild knowing he has the upper hand.

Of course, not forgetting the other three big matches on hand! WCW Hardcore champion Rob Van Dam will take on the returning Barry Windham in singles competition! Knowing RVD won't alone, especially with Big Bubba Rogers backing him up, Windham has brought some back-up of his own; in the form of his brother Kendall and his former tag team partner Justin "Blackjack" Layfield!

In addition to that, Evan Karagias and Shannon Moore will take on two young debuting stars. But the atmosphere will not phase them as they are Teddy Hart and Harry Smith, the Stapede Bulldogs! Teddy Hart is the nephew of Owen and Bret Hart, while Harry Smith is the son of the British Bulldod Davey Boy Smith! That kind of pedigree means they are destined for greatness, and here in WCW they can go all the way if they can overcome the more experienced tag team of Karagias and Moore.

Finally, Big Vito will take on Road Warrior Crash in singles action. The Road Warriors and the Full Blooded Italians have been locked in a bitter feud for a while now and it will all come to a head this Sunday at Road Wild, but one side could take a decisive advantage tonight if Crash or Vito wins.

    Confirmed Matches:

    * Rob Van Dam vs. Barry Windham

    * Evan Karagias and Shannon Moore vs. the Stampede Bulldogs

    * Big Vito vs. Road Warrior Crash

    * Jeff Jarrett, Triple H and Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg, Booker T and DDP

  8. Apparently (my brother told me, crappy source) both Man Utd and Arsenal are after Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Personally, he'd be welcomed to Highbury with open arms by me. He's a fantastic 'keeper, although I don't see him moving, at least not in January.

  9. Got the game today. I think it is really good. I've managed to get to the third level before I had to eat, and haven't playd it for a little while, but I thoroughly enjoyed what I've played so far.

It's really easy to pick up on and, as someone said, if you've played any of the LotR games on PS2, the premise is the same. The graphics are really nice and for some reason, I love the comic-booky look of the characters.

  10. Dinsmore's condition...

After hour on the scene, Bischoff lost count, Nick Dinsmore cut free of his car and taken in an ambulance to the local hospital. Bischoff was going to ride in the ambulance, but decided to stay with Dustin Rhodes and drive to the hospital themselves.

Dustin was worried that they might have amputate Dinsmore's leg to get him out of the car because of the impact of the crash, as well as the state of the car itself. Bischoff never even thought of that. Part of him was thinking, hoping is a better word, he was hoping that Dinsmore would get out of the crash with just a couple of scratches, bruises, maybe at worse a couple of broken bones. Bischoff's theory was if that was the worse of it, Dinsmore could be back in a WCW ring within a couple of months. Bischoff was worried that if he couldn't come back to wrestling, how would his family cope? Wrestling had been Dinsmore's life for years, and without he'd probably go stir crazy.

But Bischoff knew it was much worse than 'a couple of scratches'. One thing made him breathe a sigh a of relief was that one of the doctors on site informed him that they didn't have to amputate anything.

Bischoff and Dustin were following the ambulance all the way; neither saying a word. Dustin sat there with his head down, and Bischoff was as stiff as a board, moving only to blink and drive the car. Eric wanted to say something to Dustin, see if he was ok, but he didn't know what to say. What could he say? "Are you ok?"...'What a fucking stupid question that'd be', Bischoff though, so he just drove.

They finally arrived at the hospital just a short while after the ambulance, soon enough to see Dinsmore rushed through the doors and into the hospital. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the second ambulance pull up that was at the crash site. From the ambulance, the crews pulled out the body of a woman covered in blood. They rushed right past Bischoff, who got a good, up-close look at her. Nobody he knew, but that didn't change the fact that he was horrified by what he saw. Blood was everywhere. Bischoff had seen wrestling matches where the blading had gone to horrific levels, but that was tame compared to this woman.

After Dustin had got out the car, the two went inside the hospital and rushed up to the main desk.

Bischoff: We...I...one of the people that were just rolled in is a, a friend of mine. Can you...can you find out his condition for us? He w... was involved in a big accident on, on the...

Woman: Calm down. He's only just come in, the doctors will be in the right now doing whatever they can. As soon as I can, I'll try and find anything out for you ok?

Bischoff didn't reply, just simply nodded and sat down next to Dustin Rhodes. Bischoff didn't know what to think and didn't want to think the worst. He quickly realised that things like this really put his problems with WCW in general into perspective...

    IT'S BACK!!!! :D

Yeah, I had an urge to play an EWR game, but couldn't get into any other ones. Then I remembered this, and just spent the last two hours or so going through and sorthing all the pictures out.

Think of this as a 'relaunch' of the diary. It's gonna be done a little differently in some aspects. I don't wanna get bored of the diary so, expect short matches. Promos and angles will be my priority with PPV matches getting much more attention than TV ones.

  11. How about replay value?  It's got co-op multiplayer, so that helps, but what else to keep me playing?

And yeah, Spider-Man 2 might have been one of the better Spidey games, but I could also say that was one of the better toilets I've drank out of.  Free roaming is fun for about 5 minutes and then you're just doing the same shit like Iwc mentioned.

You get some replay value in that you unlocked some new attire for the X-Men, and since you can only use 4 X-Men while fighting baddies you can customize them whichever way you want. So instead of focusing on Wolverine, you can focus on Psyloche and build her up.

    Mmmm....Psyloche.

What? She's hot dammit...isn't she dead in the comics though?

Yeah, just ordered the game and hopefully it'll arrive before Xmas. Ain't holding my breath though

  12. I've got a problem, i got a NO Cd "Crack" becuase i couldn't be bothered to keep on putting the CD into the drive every time i wanted to play it and i copied and pasted it over the original .EXE file but when i loaded it up my save game which has been running till 2009 won't load up. Anyone have any idea what the problem is and more importantly how to fix it?

    Cheers.

    Nice advice here...don't use cracks.

  13. I actually thought the game was pretty decent. Nothing to write home about, but entertaining nontheless. I could see us winning, just didn't know where the goal would come from. And fuck me if I didn't spill my damn drink when Sol scored!

  14. I don't understand it, I never wanted one before, but all of a sudden I realise I NEED one. I can't explain it.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm trying to justify ways to blow such a big chunk of my paycheck on something so frivolous. And while it's tough to find an excuse, I just really want one. I guess I'm tired of not having music on demand; when I'm away from my computer, I always find myself wanting to listen to songs I don't have burned to CD. I see myself breaking down and buying one within a month and a half.

Exactly the same here. An Ipod costs half of a months pay, but I do really want one, but I dunno if I wanna blow that much money on it.

  15. Ashley Cole and Clichy aren't better then Roberto Carlos.

Clichy should either be loaned out or they should sell him because Clichy has the potential to be a really good player but Cole is still young and he won't go away soon.

I heard Arsenal has been linked with Wesley Sneijder

The fact that RVN is a cheat really hurt his case.

About Cole being better than Roberto Carlos...you seriously believe Carlos is better? He simply isn't. He's not the player he once was and, to be perfectly honest, Cole is one of the best left-backs in the world. He is ALMOST a perfect player for his position, but he needs to improve his defensive qualities a tad more, but he's still a better defender than Carlos ever was.
