  1. I'm loving the game, except it doesn't seem to want to run to smothly on my PC. I've turned of shadows and grass, yet it's still jumping at times. Help...

Well, is your PC up to the requirements of playing the game?

Do you have all the patches for the game?

Yes and no...but now yes :D

I completely forgot about the patches because I clicked the 'Update' button, which I assumed would download the patches, but it said it couldn't find anything but I totally forgot about it.

All's well and good now, I'm off to fight in a Death Match now :D

  2. Wooooo ... off to Cardiff for another shiny cup.

That's just not gonna happen. Well, the first part is but unless a miracle happens, Liverpool will lose.

Remember when we beat Arsenal a couple of years back? We needed a miracle then as well.

When did that happen? I don't remember Liverpool EVER beating Arsenal... <_<

i believe that was somewhere between 77 and 83 :shifty:

    :P

    It's a LIE!!! A LIE!!! We're unbeatable...except when we lose...but even then Liverpool never beat us...:shifty:

  3. Difference between Chelsea and Real Madrid buying the worlds best is Chelsea aren't buying the egotistical bastards that Real are. If they had two of Real's "Galactico's" they wouldn't be top if you ask me. But the point is, despite buying a whole team, they've bought the best.

Although I really hope they lose dammit...

  4. The Body

I've just never heard anyone mention it ever, and I've never heard anything about it.

An ancient skeleton has been discovered in Jerusalem in a rich man's tomb. Colouration of the wrist and leg bones indicates the cause of death was crucifiction. other signs, include a gold coin bearing the marks of Pontius Pilate and faint markings around the skull, lead authorities to suspect that these could be the bones of Christ. Politicians, clerics, religious extremists and those using terror as a means to an end, find their beliefs and identities test while risking their lives to unearth the truth

    Plot summary from IMDB.com

I thought it was a really good film. It's was just on one night and I watched it. Thought it was really good.

It has Antonio Banderas and...um, the woman who played Mrs. Darling from Peter Pan. And a bunch of English guys.

  6. [size-6]Pennant switch on hold

Birmingham City have placed Jermaine Pennant's loan move from Arsenal on hold.

The Premiership champions confirmed on Monday evening that the England Under-21 international had linked up with Blues for the rest of the season.

But Pennant's impending court appearance to answer charges of drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance have put the deal on the backburner.

Blues admit the winger's present circumstances are the factor behind the delay in wrapping up the deal, although Steve Bruce is still keen to bring Pennant to St Andrews.

"To date a loan agreement has not been signed for Jermaine Pennant to join Birmingham City Football Club," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The position is presently on hold and will be reviewed shortly.

"Whilst Birmingham City wants to loan Jermaine Pennant and both Arsenal Football Club and the player wish this to happen, Jermaine Pennant's present circumstances are such that a loan agreement can not be signed at the present time.

"Birmingham City Football Club hopes that matters can be concluded satisfactorily before the transfer window closes and the position should become clearer over the next few days."

Pennant is not due to appear in court until February 1, the day after the transfer window closes.

Simply put...if he doesn't end up going on loan, he definetley won't come back to Arsenal.

    Toure to face action

Arsenal defender Kolo Toure has been charged with violent conduct for his clash with Alan Shearer at the weekend.

The Gunners centre back appeared to lash out at Shearer with his elbow after a strong challenge from the former England captain.

The incident was missed by match referee Steve Dunn, but television replays clearly show Toure striking the Magpies star.

The incident was referred to The FA's compliance unit who have decided to take action against the 23-year-old.

If Toure is found guilty he could earn a three-match ban which would come as a big blow for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

I laughed my ass off when I saw this on TV ya know.

Seriously, I understand punishing him but there are shitloads of worse things going on in football that go unnoticed whereas a little elbow (:shifty:) in the back gets punished.

  7. Wonder if they'd use the pre-ninja Psyloche or the post-ninja Psyloche?

Anyway, if Joss Whedon doesn't direct I'll cry. Apparently there was one line of dialogue in the first X-Men that was kept in from Joss Whedon's original writings, can anyone guess what that was?

Oh, and how the hell do you pronounce "Joss"?

  8. I've always found Fozzy to be a really good band.  Maybe it's the novelty of listening to Chris Jericho sing 80s style metal, or maybe I'm just that big of a Y2J mark, but I've always enjoyed them.

It's probably the same for me actually.

I bought the Happenstance album because I like Jericho, but didn't have high expectations which were totally wrong. Despite Happenstance being mostly covers, Fozzy did a damn good job on them

Gotta recommend All That Remains to anyone that's though of getting it.

  9. What I meant by "give him a chance" was...give him a chance! I mean Wenger would never bring him on for longer than 10 mins, and I don't know how many times he even played.

That pissed me off. I know he seems like a twat off the pitch, but still give him a go every now and again!

Loaning out Pennant will have one of two effects on him:

A ) it'll make him lose even more confidence because it shows that Wenger doesn't seem to want him.

B ) it'll make him work doubly hard and earn a contract.

I hope it's B, but I'm running out of faith.

  10. Gunners hit with Fifa fine

Arsenal have been fined £10,000 after admitting using an unlicensed agent in the signing of Quincy Owusu Abeyie.

The Gunners signed the 18-year-old way back in 2002 from Ajax and they have fallen foul of Fifa after the contract negotiations were brokered by an agent without the required documentation.

Arsenal have been hit with a suspended transfer ban, but it will be implemented if they breach Fifa rules again in the next two years.

If activated, Arsenal will be prohibited from any national and/or international transfers for a period of two years.

Owusu Abeyie has failed to hold down a regular place at Highbury since his move from the Amsterdam ArenA, but Gunners chief Arsene Wenger said in November that he has no doubt that the striker will prove a success for Arsenal.

    Pennant joins Blues

Birmingham have signed Arsenal's Jermaine Pennant on loan for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old winger becomes Steve Bruce's second loan signing of the transfer window after Salif Diao joined from Liverpool.

Pennant spent last season on loan at Leeds, but had wanted to earn a place in Arsene Wenger's first team this term.

The former Notts County youngster was arrested at the weekend after being involved in a car crash, forcing him out of The Gunners' clash with Newcastle on Sunday.

He has to attend a February 1 hearing at Magistrates Court to answer charges of drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance, as he was already on a 16-month driving ban.

Pennant, however, had not earned a regular slot in Wenger's starting XI, and he has been linked with several loan moves away from Highbury.

His current contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season and it remains to be seen if he will get another chance with The Gunners.

Holy shit, that's bad. We had better be fucking careful with agents from now on. Money hungry bastards. I just hope we check out every single one we use from now on.

Bloody hell, why not give Pennant a damn chance? He needs a shot in the first-team if he's ever going to prove himself. He's barely played this season, and the times he did in the Premiership were like 15 minute cameo's; hardly gonna show off what he's got like that!

  11. The new Fozzy album arrived today, and I gotta say it's damn decent. Nothing spectacular, but I really like it. It's better than their Happenstance album, and they're really coming together as a band. Jericho's vocals are really good as well.

  13. We should've thrashed Newcastle. Given was awesome, as was every Arsenal player.

Souness needs to get rid of every defender minus Boumsong and start again. Shit; Shearer's probably a better defender than the rest of them. It's laughable how terrible they all are.

Anyway, Newcastle were lucky to lose just 1-0. Should've been at least 3-0.

  14. Going back to England practicing penalty kicks. I don't think it would make that much difference.

I think all of our first five penalty takers take penalties for their club so they would be practicing penalties when their with their club as well.

But I think even like 5 minutes at the end of training would be better than nothing. It's like saying Beckham takes freekicks for Madrid so doesn't need to practise them at training. But I bet he still does, it's hard to tell these days though.

Yeah, he still does. He spends a lot of time practicing free kicks in EVERY real madrid training session. He usually does it before the practice begin and sometimes after, in those final 5 minutes where everyone's practicing penalty kicks. They also have free kick practice for all during the training session itself, but beckham usually gets room for a little more.

    Point COMPLETELY missed.

We know Beckham practises free-kicks; what he meant was saying that players practice taking penalties at the club teams doesn't mean that they don't need to practice taking them with England.

  15. Well, my League Two season went down to the wire. It was between my Notts County team and Oxford, who were above me.

I lost 2-1 to them with three games remaining, and they only needed 2 points to win the league. Bastards got it and won the league.

Now I've been told my aim for my first season in League One is to rebuild the team, so that's ok. Although I have no money and my wages are way to high. Only problem is I need all my players! Mind you, I convinced Gary Barlow to sign for lowly Notts County over both Liverpool and Parma, so that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

EDIT: Grrrrr, the game keeps sorting my team by what positions they've been picked for. Even when I sort it by position, after I click continue it resorts it! Help me!

Is there a way to make it stay sorted by position as default?
