  1. McMAHON TO MAKE HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT

    April 4th 2002

SmackDown's first show since the Brand Extension last week comes to you from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York, and Mr. McMahon has a better night than he did Monday on RAW where he turned up to sign free agent Stone Cold Steve Austin, but the Rattlesnake played both McMahon and Ric Flair for fools as he drove out of the arena, flipping the bird at the two most powerful men in the WWF.

Only two matches have been announced thus far, and they are a Crash Holly vs. Shawn Stasiak, and a Cruiserweight title match between the champion Tajiri and new singles wrestler Jeff Hardy. Jeff has the chance to break into a successful singles career on SmackDown, and winning the Cruiserweight title from Tajiri would be a great step in that direction. But Tajiri is not to be counted out easily, as Tajiri has shown a vicious streak over the past couple of months and will hold back nothing as he goes up against the former Hardy Boy.

The big question looming over SmackDown, is what is the big announcement from Mr. McMahon? Does it have something to do with the biggest free agent in wrestling, Stone Cold Steve Austin? Has he already signed him to an exclusive SmackDown contract? Or is the announcement something else entirely? The only way to find out is to tune at 8/7 CT on UPN!

Just a quick note I want to make; my style of results are COMPLETLY different to AR's. Just thought I'd mention that (H)

  2. I was just about to say "when will this be shown in the UK?" I'm a big Adam Baldwin fan, and when I read that he was in it (from the first post that is) I wanted to see it. Now it's probably gonna be cancelled, it won't be shown over here. Firefly wasn't was it? Oh well.

  4. - The episode of Angel where Cordelia dies.

    - The episode of Angle where Wesley dies.

    - The episode of Buffy where Spike sees Buffy die.

    - The episode of Stargate SG-1 when Daniel Jackson dies.

    - The epside of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 when Jadzia Dax dies.

I only cry for Sci-Fi stuff. But the one that tops them all I have to say, it's easily in Star Trek: Nemesis when Data dies. I just loved the character and everything about him, and the sacrifice to save his friends and crew made me really cry. :(

  5. Rey Mysterio Jr. to work Japan dates

The WWF's interest in signing Rey Mysterio Jr. seems to have cooled off for the time being after Misterio revealed he would be working in Japan for All Japan Pro Wrestling, but did state that he would like to work in the WWF one day. He said that he was told the WWF were interested in signing him, but he was given an offer from AJPW first. It's not known how many dates Mysterio has, but it has been rumoured that he will be working with AJPW up until February of next year at the very least.

  6. Has anyone picked up the Secret War comics? I haven't gotten around to reading them yet, but the art in them is FUCKING amazing! I can't remember off the top of my head who the artist is, but jeez it's brilliant.

If you think the art on that is amazing, try to get a hold of either DC's Kingdom Come or Marvel's Marvels, the artist being Alex Ross, if I'm not mistaken. Most realistic art I think I've ever seen on comics. Oh, and am I the only one to think that girl on the Secret War comics, the new character, can't quite remember her name, she's only shown in the flashbacks, is based on Angelina Jolie? She looks just like her!

I still haven't read the comic yet, but I think I know who you're talking about. I was looking through the Nick Fury - Secret War book and I saw this girl and I went "shit it's Angelina Jolie!" Ok, so I said in my head but that's not the point.

Oh, and the Alex Ross stuff is awesome. Might pick one of those up, dunno. I fell in love with his stuff after seeing the Spider-Man 2 opening (which is all his stuff).

EDIT: Phantom Slasher, I mentioned it at the top of the March 25th 'RAW recap' section. It says that the remainder of the rosters will be selected via a random lottery.

  8. Monday Night Raw - March 18th 2002

Linda McMahon is at Titan Towers. She talks about a massive decision that the Board of Directors made during the past week, and she says she will share that decision with the fans and the superstars if the WWF today. She says they have come to the decision to give Ric Flair 100% control of RAW, while Vince McMahon will have 100% control of SmackDown. She explains that next week on RAW history will be made with the very first WWF draft! She explains that every WWF superstar is eligible for the draft, except for WWF Women’s champion Jazz and WWF Undisputed champion Triple H.

    Monday Night Raw – March 25th 2002

RAW starts off with Linda McMahon explaining the rules of the draft to the locker room. She explains that Vince McMahon and Ric Flair will both select their first 10 superstars for each show, with the remainder of the roster will be selected via a random lottery after RAW has gone off the air. The finalised rosters will be revealed on WWF.com later that night. She says that due to the triple threat for the Undisputed title tonight, Triple H, Chris Jericho and Stephanie McMahon are not eligible for the draft. She also adds that due to a contractual clause, Stone Cold Steve Austin is not eligible for the draft either and is declared a free agent.

Tazz d. Mr Perfect with a submission victory from the Tazzmission.

Ric Flair comes out to the podium as he is set to make his very first pick for RAW. He said he had thought long and hard about this selection after finding out he’d be choosing first. He then says, without further adieu, that RAW’s first draft pick is the Rock [1]! Rock comes out, shakes Flair’s hand and does his usual catchphrases before giving the fans a guarandamntee that he will make sure every time the fans see him on RAW, it’ll be a show to remember, “If ya smell, what the Rock, is cooking!

In the back, Mr. McMahon says he’s far more intelligent than Flair because he is going to pick a group that changed the face of wrestling, and a group that played a big part in putting WCW out of business. Ladies and gentlemen…the nWo [1]! Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac walked out onto the stage and all shook Vince’s hand. Nash spoke into Mr. McMahon’s microphone and promised him that they’ll be good boys on SmackDown.

Booker T and Christian d. Edge and Diamond Dallas Page when Booker hit the Axe Kick on DDP.

In the back we see Arn Anderson talking to Ric Flair, begging him not to do it. He says it has bad news all over it. Flair says he knows the consequences but he is still going to do it. He announces his next pick as the Undertaker [2]! Arn Anderson shakes his head as we see Undertaker’s reaction, he’s totally furious and he punches Funaki in the face for no real reason.

Back in Mr. McMahon’s war room, we see Kurt Angle burst into the room. He wants to know why he wasn’t chosen first! He runs down what he did for the WWF back at Survivor Series, and Mr. McMahon says that Kurt is right, and then makes his next pick Kurt Angle [2]!

We cut directly to Ric Flair’s war room, as he says Angle is a great asset for SmackDown as he can out-wrestle just about anyone and everyone on the face of this planet. Then he corrects himself and says, “Anyone but my next pick…Chris Benoit [3]!”

In Mr. McMahon’s war room he is furious that Ric Flair picked Chris Benoit, and Kurt Angle is also furious at Flair’s comments about him! Angle tries to convince him that Angle is better than Benoit, but McMahon seems to ignore him. He promises to himself and the world that he will get Stone Cold Steve Austin on SmackDown. Angle reminds him that it’s his pick, and McMahon yells at him, saying he knows. He says he wants gold on SmackDown, and picks the Intercontinental champion Rob Van Dam [3]!

Trish Stratus d. Ivory with the Stratusfaction.

Straight from the break, Ric Flair comes out onto the podium and says his next pick is one of the most dangerous men he’s ever seen, and one of the most powerful at that. He then goes on to pick Kane [4].

Vince McMahon walks out onto the stage, and reminds him that Kane is a monster that he will never be able to control. Talking of control, he says, he is making the next draft pick because he wants to make this man’s life a living hell. He says nobody, NOBODY screws with Vince McMahon and gets away with it and announces his next pick as Hollywood Hulk Hogan [4]!

The Rock and Hollywood Hogan meet each other backstage and Hogan says that he’ll wage a one-man war on the nWo and Vince McMahon if he has to! Rock says that tonight they’ll team together one last time in their handicap match with Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac, and they’ll tear the house down! Hogan says they’ll lay the smackdown on their candy-asses!

Ric Flair is seen backstage and tells Arn Anderson to do something we don’t hear, before saying it’s his pick and says he wants to pick a man that was one of the reasons WCW’s heart stayed beating long after it probably should have, even though he’s a changed man now, Flair picks the five time, five time, five time, five time, five time WCW champion Booker T [5]!

The nWo d. the Rock and Hollywood Hogan when Kane interfered and attacked the nWo, causing a disqualification.

Mr. McMahon storms into Flair’s war room and asks what the hell that was about! Flair said he sent Arn Anderson to go and find someone who can watch the Rock and Hogan’s back out there tonight for that match just in case the nWo tried anything fishy, and Arn found to Kane! McMahon nearly hit Flair, but held back and decided that instead of hitting him, he would announce his fifth pick of the night. McMahon chooses the WWF Tag Team champions Billy, Chuck and their stylist Rico [5]! Ric Flair congratulates him for getting the Tag Team titles, but says it’s his time to bring some gold to RAW and goes on to pick the European champion William Regal [6]! McMahon is furious about losing the European title to RAW and then retorts by picking Edge [6]! Flair quickly fires back and takes the Hardcore champion Maven [7]! Mr. McMahon’s eyes widen in shock and fury, and instead of making a pick, storms out of the room slamming the door behind him. Flair laughs.

Jeff Hardy d. Billy after interference from Chuck and Rico backfired.

In Mr. McMahon’s war room we see Kurt Angle trying to calm McMahon down, reminding he got the best pick in Angle himself. McMahon looks annoyed and mentions that seen as he has the Tag Team belts on SmackDown, he’ll need great teams for competition. He says he knows who he’ll pick, and says that he will pick the best tag team to come out of the WWF in a long time, and picks Jeff Hardy [7]! McMahon says the Hardy Boyz will be on SmackDown.

Cut to Ric Flair’s war room where he warns Vince about being over-confident and quickly makes his eighth draft pick Matt Hardy [8]! We cut over to Mr. McMahon’s war room where he is throwing plants and light stands at the wall.

Cut to the locker room where Matt and Jeff Hardy embrace and say their goodbyes.

Rikishi vs. William Regal was a no-contest when Brock Lesnar came down and demolished both men!

Vince McMahon struts out onto the apron and approaches his podium. He talks about his next pick, and says Brock Lesnar is loaded with potential, and calls him ‘the next big thing’. He says that his next pick is a no-brainer and picks Brock Lesnar and his agent Paul Heyman [8]!

Ric Flair walks out right behind McMahon and says he will choose someone with equal, maybe even more potential…Rhyno [9]! Vince McMahon laughs it off and then says that he is taking the Cruiserweight division with him and selects the Cruiserweight champion Tajiri [9]! Flair quickly bites back, naming his tenth and final draft pick as the Big Show [10]! Vince McMahon’s bottom jaw drops, as he can’t believe he forgot all about the Big Show. McMahon stands around and thinks to himself for a few seconds, and grudgingly picks Lance Storm [10] as his final pick!

    WWF Intercontinental title match

Rob Van Dam d. Kurt Angle when Edge ran in and hit a spear on Angle, allowing RVD to hit the Five Star Frog Splash for the win.

Michael Cole is backstage with Stephanie McMahon, who says she isn’t going anyway. In fact, she’ll be everywhere after she wins the Undisputed title tonight from her soon-to-be-ex husband!

    WWF Undisputed title match

Triple H d. Stephanie McMahon and Chris Jericho after he hit a spinebuster on Stephanie for the pin, forcing Stephanie to leave the WWF forever. The show ends with the fans singing "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey! Goodbye!" to Stephanie, with Triple H joining in!

    SmackDown! - March 28th 2002

The main event of Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Kane and the Rock vs. the nWo is announced as Booker T comes out.

Diamond Dallas Page d. Booker T when Brock Lesnar runs in and decimated DDP with a triple powerbomb.

Kurt Angle came to the ring and says that he can't believe people cheering when Stephanie McMahon was forced to leave the WWF on RAW. He says she brought a smile to the face of every WWF wrestler. He talked about how great she is until Mr. McMahon comes out.

He says the fans are ungrateful and blames it all on Triple H. He says he seduced her, than he embaresses her. He promises to make Triple H's life a living hell when he's on SmackDown. Cue Triple H.

Triple H comes out and promises that if Vince screws with him, he'll make HIS life a living hell. Then he says that maybe they should honour Stephanie's time in the WWF, and plays a video of Triple H pinning her on RAW as well as the rest of the end of RAW.

Kurt Angle then grabs a microphone and demands a match with Triple H tonight! McMahon says instead of a one-on-one, he says he wants a shot at him as well and makes a handicap match. Triple H says it's on.

Ric Flair comes to the ring and says he still has power here tonight, and then says because it's his last night on SmackDown, he makes it Kurt Angle and Vince McMahon vs. Triple H and Ric Flair!

Cut to the back where the Hardy Boyz and Lita are talking about how if they win the WWF Tag Team titles tonight, they get to stay together. Jeff says that even if they don't win, Matt still has Lita with him on RAW and says it was a hell of a ride.

    WWF Tag Team titles match

Billy and Chuck d. the Hardy Boyz when Rico distracted Jeff allowing for Billy to hit the Fameasser for the pin. After the match, the Hardyz hit a Twist of Fate/Swanton Bomb combo for possibly the very last time.

In the back, the APA are playing poker, but Faarooq said it didn't feel the same playing cards seem as they knew they were going to be seperated soon. Tajiri and Torrie walked in and the APA told them they were throwing a big party, and asked Torrie to play strip poker, which she agreed to!

Lillian Garcia interviewed the Hardy Boyz and Lita and asked how it felt to be going their seperate ways. They said it was an opportunity, and Jeff congratulated Matt on being with Lita on RAW. Then Chris Jericho walked by, saying it should be all about him as he should still be the Undisputed champion and be on BOTH shows! Jeff said it's not their fault he's a has-been! Jericho snapped and attacked Matt and Jeff all the while screaming 'I am not a has-been'!

The Rock, Kane and Hollywood Hogan are seen backstage. Rock says that tonight is the last chance that they together get a shot at the nWo, and after tonight it's all down to Hogan. Hogan says that they will make tonight a night to remember, saying that with the Big Red Monster Kane on their side, they can't loose.

The Rock, Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Kane d. the nWo when Kane chokeslammed X-Pac for the win.

Chris Jericho d. Matt Hardy when he tapped out to the Walls of Jericho.

We see the APA card game, as Torrie loses a hand and takes off her belt. The men sigh.

    Intercontinental title match

Rob Van Dam d. Test with a sunset flip.

Raven is interviewed backstage by the Coach, and he promises to win the Hardcore title and bring it to SmackDown.

    Hardcore title match

Raven d. Maven with the Raven Effect to win the title, but after winning the belt he was rolled up by Maven as Maven pinned Raven to win back the title!

Mr. McMahon is shown in the back, furious that Raven couldn't finish the job with Maven and bring the Hardcore title to SmackDown. He then turns his attentions to his 10th draft pick, Lance Storm. He says that he regrets picking Lance Storm, and says that Storm had better not make him regret it even more. Storm promises not to. He turns to Kurt Angle, who says he heard a rumour that Stone Cold Steve Austin would be on RAW this week. Mr. McMahon promised to be there and promised to sign Austin to a SmackDown contract.

The APA's party is shown, as William Regal interupts and laughs at the APA being broken up. A huge brawl erupts with the APA coming out on top. They joke about their success before leaving their office, changing the sign from, "Open for business" to "Sorry we're closed".

Vince McMahon and Kurt Angle d. Triple H and Ric Flair when the Undertaker ran in and chokeslammed Ric Flair before drapping McMahon's arm over him for the pin.

The RAW and SmackDown's are basically the same as the real ones, with a few minor changes. Both AR and I agreed that it would be better to get straight into the shows. I'll post the rosters in a minute :P

  9. Has anyone picked up the Secret War comics? I haven't gotten around to reading them yet, but the art in them is FUCKING amazing! I can't remember off the top of my head who the artist is, but jeez it's brilliant.

  10. I'd want a Star Wars Original Trilogy game(s) made using the KOTOR engine. Just imagine how great it would be to play the game as Luke, get to Cloud City, fight with Darth Vader, he cuts your hand off, he tells you he's your father and then asks you to join him...and you agree! Seriously would be an awesome game.

  11. I just assume anything that's on the website is LucasArts made, or part made. I hope they make a KOTORIII for the 360, we need a trilogy~! And I want to find out what the hell happened to Revan after I saved the galaxy as him.

It's true. I was kinda pissed that, according to Kreia in KOTORII Revan just left the known galaxy or something. I seem to recall her saying that.

They need to make games for the Original Trilogy; I'm talking about games like KOTOR. It would be awesome for a game like that. After I completed KOTORII I felt a little empty, and wanted so much more and the idea for an Original Trilogy came to mind.

Besides, there was no sexing in KOTORII ¬_¬

  12. Bhoys bag Aliadiere

Celtic have completed the signing of Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere on loan.

The young Frenchman has joined the Scottish giants on a season-long loan deal.

Celtic lined up a deal with The Gunners earlier this week and they have now tied up the move.

Aliadiere is well down the pecking order at Highbury and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger boss is happy to loan him out, so that he can get valuable first team experience.

Aliadiere becomes the second signing of the summer for Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan after the arrival of Mo Camara.

Celtic have been handed a second boost with the news that Craig Beattie has signed a new deal at the club.

The 22-year-old, who is highly-rated within the corridors of Parkhead, has penned a new-three year deal.

Beattie enjoyed a fine end to the season last term scoring twice in his last four games and he will be aiming to make a push into the first team for the new campaign which gets underway later this month

Well, if Aliadiere doesn't score into the double-figures range he's a flop and we should get rid of him. If he can't get at least 10 goals in Scotland, he'll do shit here I think.

  13. Inter release Vieri

Internazionale have cancelled the contract of Christian Vieri, thus paving the way for him to move on.

The Italian international has been linked with a move to England and Tottenham Hotspur in the Italian media.

Vieri endured a difficult season with inter last term, with the player even falling out with the club's supporters.

The former Juventus man failed to hold down a regular place in the Inter side last season due to the emergence of Adriano and Obafemi Martins and Inter have decided to release him from his contract, which still had a year to run.

"Inter and Christian Vieri have mutually decided to rescind the contract that was due to expire on June 30, 2006 early," read a club statement.

"Negotiations between the player and the club progressed smoothly, and the documents related to the issue were registered at the Lega Calcio (Football League) offices this morning (Friday).

"FC Internazionale thank Christian Vieri for having contributed for six seasons to the history of the club.

"Christian Vieri thanks Inter and its fans for the professional respect and affection which characterised the relationship."

The news is sure to alert a number of clubs, with Tottenham thought to be keen on signing the 31-year-old.

It has also been suggested that Chelsea could be interested in the experienced striker, as they look to bolster their attack following the departures of Mateja Kezman and Mikael Forssell this summer.

A number of foreign sides are also thought to be chasing Vieri and there is sure to be no shortage of admirers for the former Lazio man.

I think he'll definetly end up in England. Don't know why, but I do. He'd fit in well here, unlike Crespo the other season. He can still score a bucket load of goals, so he'd be a great addition for any team. Probably end up at some team like Middlesbrough.

  14. The House of M storyline has started with the New Avengers (Captain America, Luke Cage, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, the Sentry, Iron-Man and Wolverine...not sure about Wolvy),

Am I the only person who's sick and fucking tired of wolverine? He's got his own book, he's in damn-near every X-Book, and now he's in the Avenger's too? Hasn't Marvel ever heard of over-exposure?

Yeah, it kinda pissed me off to. This is how he became a 'member' of the Avengers: he was taking a stroll essentially in the Savage Land, when the New Avengers dropped by in search of the recently escaped Sauron. I seem to actually recall him saying he was getting some fresh air, or something like that. There's no need for that much Wolverine.

  15. This is going to sound desperate...but does anyone have Star Wars: Empire 2, 3, 8, 13 or 28 and are up for selling it? I've tried 8 different comic shops in the london area and have come up with nothing. I've also tried e-bay and I'm looking through Google now.

Failing that, does anyone here have a credit card and would be willing to order them for me on it, and I'll pay you back through PayPal? I've managed to find a site that has them, but they're from America and only take credit card...which I don't have. If anyone could help me I'd have your babies.

    Didn't see it posted anywhere.

Finally a space-battle Star Wars game for the PC. Thankfully it looked 100 times better than Force Commander which had so much potential but turned out pretty awful.

It looks amazing so far; there are screenshots on the site for those interested.

  17. I was there at 7:45 and I hate to queue round the corner. I got in there at about 8:05 and the Alien Quadrilogy had sol out, as had the PS2 streamline, as had the Indiana Jones Trilogy. :(

I bought Trainspotting for £4.99, Apocolypse Now for £3.99 and The Rocky Horror Picture Show for £4.99. There really wasn't much of interest by the time I got in though.

I also bought the Sport with promises of Rachel Stevens topless and I was lied to!!!

  18. ......

Fuck it, I'm going. I don't know what the hell I'll buy, but at least it'll give me a reason to get up in the morning.

Where did you find the details of this apparent sale?

I was in London today and my friend was handed a leaflet by some guy/girl. There are more deals, but I don't have a leaflet myself. :(

EDIT 2: By the way, I BELIEVE the sale is in both the Virgin's in London; the one opposite Tottenham Court Road tube station on Oxford Street and...uh, the other one, the one near Trocadero. I know that it's DEFINETLY in the Oxford Street one, but I'm not sure about the other one.

  19. Alien Quadrilogy - Sale Price: £9.99, RRP: £69.99

someone get me that one, i´ll paypal moneny for shipment and sale price or send something from germany in return.

Ya know what, if it's possible for me to get more than one thing (which I don't think it is) I'll get one for you. But don't count on it. :P

I'll let ya know if I do, I've just gotta hope I can get it for myself first! If I don't get it I'll cry...

  20. Just thought I'd pass on some information for any London'ers on the board. Virgin in London are doing some, uh, seemingly random deals tomorrow. An example of some of them:

Alien Quadrilogy - Sale Price: £9.99, RRP: £69.99

    PS2 Streamline - Sale Price: £49.99, RRP: £105.99

I can't remember any of the other ones, but those are the two that really stood out to me. Only problem is you're only aloud to buy one thing I believe. If anyone's interested, the doors open at 8am and, I quote 'everything will sell out in minutes'. :D
