  1. When I first started the game, I did the "I want you to play like this every week" thing every time I won...even though they were playing like that, so my players were getting upset and wanted some praise for their performance, so the realisation came about how stupid I was.

Now it depends on how things go in the game. Especially with being Arsenal, I've got high standards for my team and like, I just beat Luton 7-4 at their ground in the Premiership with a second-string team. This being a Luton team who haven't won in 30 league games and had about 7 points after 31 games, yet I bloody conceeded 4 goals which left me pissed at my back four. They all got "angry" or "disappointing" where as everyone else got "did well" or "delighted".

My game is going awesome though, as I've won the UEFA Super Cup, he Community Shield and the Carling Cup so far, and I'm in the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup and the Semi-Finals of the Champions League and am 15 points clear in the Premiership after 31 games with 28 wins and 3 draws, nearing 100 goals. I'm on a 54 game unbeaten run in the league, and I'm well chuffed. Might leave in the summer maybe.

  2. David Duchovny is likely to star in the next "Hulk" movie after Eric Bana pulled out of the sequel.

Peter Cuneo, vice chairman of Marvel, said the following.

"Duchovny's name has been bought up several times. He's quite the fan too."

Cuneo said that Bana pulled out once he learned that the plan is to release the sequel straight to DVD. Despite the original getting horrible reviews, Cuneo says the franchise still has life.

"Hulk did $250 million worldwide box office, which is a huge box office, and as you may recall, we had tremendous success with our toy line, which was a complete sell-out, over $100 million worldwide."

Well, Eric Bana was fine, and personally I enjoyed the slower paced first film but I can see why people hated it. Only gripe I had with the first one was the end just screamed of Hollywood wanting a big monster fight, but other than that it was fine to me.

Duchovny would be, well, interesting to say the least. His facial expressions seem to dwindle season-by-season in X-Files til there was barely any, but ya know, Eric Bana wasn't much better.

  3. Dawson, that is one quality Tottenham player. I watched him on Saturday, he seriously impressed me.

So, who do you think will win the race for Theo?

I don't see what all the fuss is about, just another over-rated teenager in my book.

Basically if Walcott does go, it'll be to Arsenal because he's got his dad and his agent telling him that Arsenal are the best choice because of the way we look after youngsters. There's also the fact he wants to play alongside Thierry Henry.

Personally, I've never actually seen him play, but everyone seems to be blowing their load over how great he is, so there must be something there.

  4. KOTOR II's ending was such a let-down.

Especially after the awesome ending to KOTOR, Sith Lords was really sorta like "ok, what's next" but it just ends. KOTOR had an awesome ending if you finished with the dark side or the light side. Sith Lords could easily have had the character (if ending with the light side) starting a new Jedi academy, trying to find other Jedi or even Revan, who knows, but the way it ended was naff as hell.

  5. Bit of an explaination for what's caused the change so far if anyone's interested. Spoilers ahoy.

Basically the "main reason" for the change is, well, Peter Parker died recently after getting the living shit beaten out of him by Morlun (who according to the book I'm looking at: "has hunted and destroyed 'spider-men' for centuries") and tore his eye out. Oh, it also didn't help that he was dying anyway from some vague illness that is never fully explained, but is terminal and causes his powers to essentially switch on and off at times. Basically, Spidey dies saving MJ from Morlun, who's again trying to kill Spider-Man once and for all, and MJ, Aunt May and the Avengers all mourn his death.

Later, they check Parkers body and all that's left is a "husk", and the insides is all gone. Nobody knows what's going on, but somehow he's now in a cacoon essentially being reborn. After he's done with the whole rebirth stuff, he appears at the Avengers/Stark tower and nobody seems massivly shocked (save May and MJ) and they have to tell him that, what with him being dead and all, they threw away all his costumes, and then Tony Stark tells him he has some ideas for a new costume. That's basically the reasoning for him getting a new costume. To be fair, there's two more issues left of the mini-series so a better explaination should (I hope) come up then.

  6. They really need the red and blue, also Scarlet Spider Costume > *

I loved both of his costumes. The original "I'm poor so I'll wear ripped crappy clothes but still have a great big spider on it" one as well as his awesome one when he took over Peter's job.

In regards to the making him look like Iron-Man, he's a member of the New Avengers with Iron-Man, and after the Others storyline I think Tony Stark is going to be helping him get through it all, but the it still is a bit suspect and dodgy.

  7. It makes sense, I guess, but it looks fucking awful. It's too bright, it hurts the eyes. Superheroes wearing bright red and blue is stupid enough, but at least we're accustomed to that, bright red and yellow is just retina-searing.

I just don't like the idea that Spider-Man is basically looking like Iron-Man, that's my main gripe. If they keep this for a little while then make it blue and red, I'll be happy.

Word has been building for months now, and comic fans have been dying to know- what is Spider-Man’s new costume?! Well, folks, here it is! Recognize the color scheme? You should, it’s playing an important role in the future of the web-slinger!

After the shocking events in "The Other" storyline, Peter recieves this new costume to help him adjust to his newest developments, as well as giving him some added muscle! Designed by Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada, this new design has a few tricks up its sleeve. "The Iron Spider design- as I like to call it- came to me during a Spider-Man story meeting we were having, we were talking and I was involuntarily sketching on a pad. It's inspired by a sketch that Chris Bachalo did that showed a new Spidey costume with <CLASSIFIED>. I thought that was brilliant, especially since it echoed one of Spidey's greatest villains, and I took the idea and imagined it as though seeing it through the eyes of Tony Stark. The sky's the limit with respect to gadgetry when it comes to Tony inspired costumes."

Every "gift" has its cost, and this new look for Spidey will signal the beginnings of change, especially as it comes on the eve of the upcoming Civil War. Spider-Man has developed a growing trust and friendship with Iron Man, but how much in debt is Peter’s loyalty to Tony Stark going to cost him in the long run? If the color scheme is any indication, well... Joe Quesada says, "I imagined Tony presenting Peter with the new suit and Peter putting it on and saying that it looks great but that his colors are red and blue. Tony would simply respond, ‘My design, my colors!’"

What is it that Joe is talking about that’s classified? How will Spidey’s relationship to Tony - and the new costume- play into Civil War?! You’ll have to read the books to see! But, it is safe to see that when it comes to this new costume, there is much more to the story! Look for the new costume to debut in February’s Amazing Spider-Man #529. It will then be seen in the pages of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Marvel Knights Spider-Man in April. For more news on Spider-Man, the costume, and Civil War, stay tuned, True Believers!

Well, I kinda like it, but I also kinda hate it. The "Iron-Spidey" thing seems interesting, but I do think that the colours should stay red and blue, but I'll give it a try because I'm all for change and am interested to see how long it lasts before all the comic fans who hate change demand it be changed back.

  9. I'm well chuffed with my Arsenal game at the moment. Well, all bar the fact I got knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages finishing 3rd in a group with Lyon, Ajax and another team I can't remember. Although, I'm in the final of the UEFA Cup against Chelsea, so it's not to bad.

I've won the UEFA Confederations Cup (Sao Paolo - 7-0), the UEFA Super Cup (uh, CSKA Moscow I think), the Carling Cup (Chelsea - 3-3 and 3-2 on penalties) and I'm top of the league, two points clear with three games in hand over 2nd place Man Utd at the end of April. Oh, and I'm in the FA Cup final against, oh yeah, it's bloody Chelsea again.

I've spent quite a bit of money so far, but spent it somewhat wisely. One thing that pissed me off was, after trailing Kameni for all of the first season, I gave up and agreed a £5m transfer for Frey and a £1.9m for Zotti (to be Frey's back-up). The day after I sign them both, Kameni signs a new contract and get's a £7.5m release clause in his contract! Grrr. "Well" I thought, I have the money and he's gonna get so much better (he's already one of the best 'keepers on there stats wise) so I sign him. Well, decent start but his form is eratic, so he gets dropped for Frey who has played amazingly in every game he's played. Also signed Michael Carrick from Tottenham for £9m. My fans didn't like that. They were pissed that I was interested in him, and weren't overly happy to see him sign. Oh well.

I've got Javier Saviola, Javier Portillo, James McFadden (I have no idea why) and Freddy Adu all coming in on a bosman in the summer, along with some others and Leo Messi for £4m, which I'm really happy about.

  10. I think they both had to talk for 90 seconds about why they were famous.

Was the number thing putting themselves in "famous-order"? Who ended up Number 1, because the only REALLY famous person on there is Dennis Rodman, to be honest.

I think Barrymore was easily the most famous one in England and to the English. If you're talking worldwide, yeah Rodman, but Barrymore in England. And my god he had me in stitches when I watched that. Bring back Barrymore!

Yeah, I guess to the English.

And I think some peoples reaction to Barrymore just shows how fickle people can be.

    How do you mean?

  12. That was one of the most entertaining games I've seen in ages that didn't involve Arsenal. Seriously, Liverpool were so laughably bad for the majority of the game I expected a Luton win by the end, but you scraped through, well, I guess you just outlasted them to be fair.

  13. Ha ha, boo'd like a nobody...no wait, the nobody got a better reaction.

Bets on who Rodman will shag first; Faria, Chantelle or Traci or Jodie? Or all of them? :shifty:

EDIT: I forgot Jodie Marsh...easy mistake to make really...

  14. Who else sees her spending all the time trying to prove she's intelligent and FAIL miserably because she tries to hard.

I love the reaction of everyone when Maggot introduces himself to them.

Now, come on, someone interesting please (other than Barrymore)!

EDIT: I really want Jordan to be in there now...
