  1. He should go ahead of Gilberto since he's no-one when he hasn't got anyone to hold his hand.

Gilberto is usually solid, but when he has a bad game he is really atrocious, it's like we're only playing with 10, so I get your point. But Gilberto on his day is as good as Makelele in that role, although to be fair, the "Makelele role" was perfected by Vieira.

  2. Rebrov adapted, did well, then Glenn Hoddle took over and decided he didn't like him, its a completely different situation.

The rest of the league are now officially fucked though.

The rest of the league were fucked anyway...guess Shevchenko justs makes it official <_<

Rebrov actually did something? I really don't remember him playing decently at all.

  3. Senderos named Swiss Player of the Year

Philippe Senderos has been named Switzerland's Player of the Year at the ninth annual Swiss football awards.

The 21-year-old was a key part of the Arsenal defence which set a new record of 10 consecutive clean sheets in the Champions League last season.

Senderos excelled alongside Kolo Toure and his progress at Arsenal has been recognised by the Swiss public who vote for the Player of the Year award.

Senderos is currently preparing for the World Cup with Switzerland. He played a full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Ivory Coast at the weekend.

Not hard really, considering Djourou and Alex Frei are the only other Swiss players I can think of.

    Vieira worried by Juve situation

Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira has admitted he is concerned by the ongoing match-fixing investigation.

The Old Lady are under scrutiny following allegations against former general manager Luciano Moggi and if found guilty, could be relegated as a punishment.

Vieira has recently been linked with a shock return to Arsenal after fellow Frenchman Thierry Henry decided to stay with The Gunners and relegation would most likely spark a mass exodus from the Stadio Delle Alpi.

With the prospect of Serie B football next season looming over the club, Vieira admits he is concerned but refused to be drawn on reports of a move back to North London.

"This is worrying me, I want to know what will happen," he said.

"But I won't ask myself any questions, I am waiting to see what comes next.

"I get informed just like you, I read the newspapers, I don't know any more."

Meanwhile, the former Arsenal captain has rebuffed speculation of a release clause in his contract should the club be relegated.

"Do I have an option on my contract to leave the club if we are relegated? No."

I know a lot of people wouldn't want him back, but a lot of people would. Personally I'm not bothered. He still has the class and ability to play at the top level, but if he did come back players like Fabregas and Gilberto should not be dropped for him, not to mention the signing of Rosicky. But there is the fact that he's still a great player, and his experience (coupled with that of Gilberto's) would be great to help along the youngsters, so I'm not opposed to the possibly return, but it doesn't bother me either way.

  4. Shevchenko moves to Chelsea

Premiership champions Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko for a club record fee.

The Ukraine international had spent most of Wednesday discussing a move to Stamford Bridge after asking to leave Milan.

Shevchenko had enjoyed seven seasons with the Rossoneri, but asked for a transfer due to family reasons.

The Italian titans grudgingly acceded to the 29-year-old's demands and he has now agreed a four-year contract with Chelsea.

The Ukraine Football Federation had claimed that The Blues had stumped up €36 million (£24.5 million) for the fearsome hot shot, while previous reports had suggested that Chelsea would have to splash out a British record fee of £35 million to secure Shevchenko's signature.

Though Chelsea have not divulged the exact amount, the figure does eclipse the £24.4 million the club paid Lyon for Michael Essien last summer.

Shevchenko has expressed his delight at joining The Premiership's big-spenders and is happy to have his future resolved before the World Cup finals.

"I am here for the challenge and the excitement of playing in The Premier League," Shevchenko told the club's official website.

"I am going from one big club to another and joining a team of champions.

"There is a right moment to join a football club and I think I have arrived here at the perfect time.

"The Champions League has to be a realistic target for next season, but it is not just about the Champions League. Chelsea is going for their third Premiership as well and I like the club's mentality of wanting to win every game they play.

"I have followed Mr Mourinho's career carefully for the last few years and have been hugely impressed with the way he manages.

"He puts team ethic before individual expression which is the way I believe great teams are created.

"Had money been my motivation for coming, I would probably have stayed in Milan.

"I am pleased that Chelsea managed to conclude everything before the World Cup - I can go to Germany with a clear mind and proud to be a Chelsea player."

Jose Mourinho could not contain his joy at signing Shevchenko - the player he claims is the one he has wanted to sign since his appointment as Chelsea boss two years ago.

The Portuguese said: "Today is a day when the dream became reality. Andrei has always been my first choice for Chelsea since I arrived. Before it was not possible, now it is for real. He has great qualities, ambition, discipline, tactical awareness and of course he is a great goalscorer.

"I did not need to meet with him to convince him about Chelsea, in the same way we did not need to talk a lot about why I wanted him. Everybody knows him as a player, tactically he can play in the Chelsea system no doubt.

"Milan is a big club, a great club, but for him to leave Milan for Chelsea is a big statement about where Chelsea is. He is a champion and he is joining a team of champions. I have already spoken to some of our players and they are looking forward to playing with him. Great players want to play with other great players."

Shevchenko becomes Mourinho's third capture since the end of the season, with Michael Ballack and Salomon Kalou already agreeing moves to West London.

Well, it was coming, not a surprise really, but if there is one in there it's gotta be the fee. It was said to be about £35m originally, but it's only just more than they paid for Michael Essien. As much as I despise Chelsea, it'll be good to see Sheva in the Premiership finally. Still think it'll take him time to adapt seen as he had to play at such a crappy slow pace in Italy, especially considering how badly Rebrov didn't adapt. Although, with Sheva it's probably more a case of "when he adapts" instead of "if he adapts".

  5. Relegation to Serie B is actually not the worst that could happen. The maximum sentence is a 200 million euros fine and relegation to Serie C. I'm betting on the first one to happen.

How much is 200 million euros? It sounds like that bit in Family Guy were the tabacco company is fined infinity billion dollars to me.

Anyway, we've signed Andrew Johnson, officially. £8.6million, although were that extra 100k came from noone knows.

It's roughly about £100m, which is still a shit-load. I just hope they go all the way down, loose all their money and loose all their players.

  6. Well, first season in the Premiership with my Walsall team and I've managed to finish 4th! Above Tottenham, above Man Utd AND I'm favourite to replace the Real Madrid manager! Now the fun of either leaving and possibly going Real Madrid or Juventus, or staying and rebuilding the squad for Champions League football. I'm leaning towards staying right now, but it may all come down to how much money in transfer funds I'm given.

  7. You don't go to a TBS show and expect them to sound good, that's just the way that it is. If you have ever seen a video of them playing live, you should know that. The appeal is half in how he acts on stage and half in the lyrics that he adds into the live versions of songs... take it or leave it I guess.

Typical emofag standing up for one of his favorite bands...and failing. <_<

Does it not help though if the band, ya know, sound decent? Or am I just getting old?

  8. I can't believe England are winning with such a shit team. ROTW > j00.

Look at the two sides, and look at stuff like ages, fitness, injuries etc.

ROTW didn't have anything on the England side.

Jonathan Wilkes and Ben Sheppard are awesome. That is all.

  9. X-3 doesn't look overly awful to me, I'll reserve judgment 'til I've seen it but meh, I tend to like superhero movies more than the average wanky, middle-class broadsheet reviewer anyway, as I actually have the ability to suspend my intellect for the purposes of 2 hours of fun escapism. Fucking Guardian.

Da Vinci Code is going to be awful. How could it not, given what it's based on?

As far as the summer is concerned, I'm looking forward to X-3, Clerks II, and Waiting, and also hoping that we hear some rumblings regarding the future of the Firefly/Serenity franchise over the coming months.

Also, one line that lights up my life every time I hear it.

"I want those motherfucking snakes off this motherfucking plane!"

    Huh? Please explain.

  10. Fair enough. Just ordered one. Can't argue with the advice, or be bothered to spend ages makingwrestlers anymore!

What Arsenal convinently left out is that you'll need a second memory card unless you want to be constantly overwriting your CAWs with newer saves. Max Drives aren't all they're made out to be.

    Oh yeah...whoops

Well, you can transfer your save onto your computer first.

  11. The doing what I said will let you keep the game going and face a new challenge. But you will probably find before long that you miss Walsall and it was just the inconsistent form that was annoying you and making you want to move on. And when that happens, you'll still have your Walsall game there and ready to carry on with.

I've pretty much come to the decision to finish this season (I'm in early-March) and then see what's available in post-season and if there's anything good about, leave and apply. I'm also currently USA coach as well, so I've got that which is kinda fun. I say kinda fun, I already resigned because I got bored of that and a week later they begged me to come back, so I did!

  12. I'm a member, but a Red Level member and it's only open to Silver Level members at the moment.

It really annoys me that you can only buy one ticket per membership. They should really let you buy two.

Oh right. What exactly are the "red" and "silver" level members? If I could be bothered to check I would, but I can't, so explain :P

  13. I probably will do that, but the problem with it is, you know when you go through a bad/inconsistant spell where you just sorta get easily annoyed and pissed off? Well that's what I'm going through now. My team is actually really good, but just can't seem to string together two good results in a row, but when I'm winning and playing well I'm loving playing as them.

  14. I'm considering whether I should leave my Walsall team. The Juve job might become available, and if they offer it to me I might take it. Been Walsall since day one and am in February 2009 and have finished 2nd in League 1, won the Championship, won the Carling Cup and am currently in the top third of the Premiership above Man Utd. My team really is looking good, but I'm thinking about a change.

Problem is, whenever I do leave a club, and the club I go to aren't doing brilliantly, I want to go back and I kinda ruin the game by getting bored, so I'm still decided about leaving should a good job (the Juve one or another one) come along soon.

  15. Looking to update my roster with all the current WWE/ECW guys for a EPIC GM Mode around my mates.

    I need CAWs for:

    Khali

    Finlay

    Goldust

    UMAGA

    Mickie James

Kenny and Mikey (and the rest of the SS)

    Tatanka

    Vito

    Mr Kennedy.....KENNEDY!!!!

i don't have a max drive (how much are they usually btw) so need CAW formulas. I am going to have a go at my own, but if anyone knows some really good ones I'd appreciate a link.

    cheers.

Get a MaxDrive. Seriously, if you have a job at all, and play SmackDown games a lot, there's no excuse not to because it saves a lot of time making CAW's. They're like £10-£15.

  16. If Chelsea get Shevchenko they're going to be flying next season if I'm being honest. Drogba and Crespo are all good but Shevchenko is on another level, easily one of the best strikers in the world. If it happens, which is likely now, got to admit Chelsea are going to be a super team next season.

Thing about it is, he's currently playing in Italy, a league which, by all accounts, really is nowhere as good or as fast as the Premiership, so it's a question of how well/quickly will he adapt to the game. Crespo never did, Veron never did, and they were hailed as brilliant players in Italy. Shevchenko is leagues above those two, but I still think he'll have a few months of adapting to the league.

  17. If by chances you mean Carling Cup games, then I'm sure he had loads. He barely played a league game, especially compared to the time the likes of Reyes, Flamini, Fabregras, Senderos, Eboue and Van Persie have been given.

He obviously had off the field problems (I have no doubt he's an absolute cunt), but part of being a manager is to deal with that and nuture his obvious talents.

He scored a hat-trick in one game that made everyone take notice, and WAS going to get games from then. How did he follow on from that? By getting drunk, missing training, crashing cars, going to prison. Basically, he thought he was better than he was and pretty much believed that he should've played.

To be fair though, he did only make 6 starts in 5 years at Arsenal. I'm not saying he's not a waste of a space in the squad because he's a twat, but to say he got a fair chance is a bit much.

He was given a fair enough chance. He was given the chance to impress on-loan with Leeds and he did, would've played more the next season, played seven league games (maybe not starts but whatever) but then he managed to screw up again so Wenger cut his losses and sold him. He was on-loan with Watford as well and did well, but the problem was that whenever he came back, he seemed to think that he should be starting, and then managed to cock it up. The whole point of the Carling Cup games for Arsenal is for players to make their mark, and he did that some times, but when ever he managed to get a "proper" Arsenal game, he managed to somehow blow the chance that he got.

  18. one of the worst movies of all time, no concept, no thought put into it, its just filming morons, its not even funny. its just sad that these talentless people have to resort to this for money and fame.

    Sounds like Gigli :P

I swear I remember seeing bits of Gigli when I was about 12, or something. I don't remember it apart from seeing some boobs. I thought it wasn't too bad based off of that.

Ahhh, to be young again :shifty:

Gigli came out 3 years ago

I think I meant Gili....or something like that.

Something about some women who got AIDS, or something.

    Ahh, that was Gia, seemingly.

    Ah...Angelina Jolie's boobs...truly a sight to behold...

  19. If by chances you mean Carling Cup games, then I'm sure he had loads. He barely played a league game, especially compared to the time the likes of Reyes, Flamini, Fabregras, Senderos, Eboue and Van Persie have been given.

  20. Thing about Jackass is, it isn't just abouting laughing at them hurting themselves, it's practical jokes and other stuff which is really funny. Dirty Sanchez on the other hand, is disgusting and utterly not funny.
